Where do I begin, Marisa was our DJ for our wedding in November of 2015 and we couldn't have found a better fit for the job! She is simply the best!! Marisa encouraged us to meet with her in person a few times before the wedding so that she could get a feel of what we wanted her to play. My husband is a huge music buff and would have DJ'ed the wedding himself if he could. I on the other hand, not so much! This made it pretty difficult for us, with my lack of knowledge and his high expectations. I assume this would have been a challenge or frustrating for most DJ's. However, not for Marissa!!!! Instead she went above and beyond and patiently helped us to blend both of our music styles into the perfect mix!!!! The day of the wedding, she arrived to our venue early to set up, dressed professionally with a killer smile! Marisa was friendly and kind to all of our guests / vendors. Everyone at the wedding, some guests being DJ's themselves said that she was THE BEST DJ they had ever heard! Her music selections and ability to read the crowd vibe had our guests dancing even before dinner was served! Funny, she was also the last to leave the party, as my husband and I gushed to her about how wonderful she was! We are so grateful to have hired Marisa. Jenny came through for us and made our wedding night just perfect! She was so easy to work with especially with our busy schedules and got her as a referral when our first dj was a complete miss. I can't tell you how happy were are with Jenny! She found us a fantastic gobo for our tiki themed wedding, the lighting was such a wonderful mood and tone to the whole night as we danced away. If I could give six stars to Jenny, Marisa, and Mix N Hits, I would!!! Jenny was referred to us by the coordinator at our venue and we could not have been more thankful that we took her recommendation - Jenny is INCREDIBLE! From our first email through the last moments of our wedding, Jenny was organized, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and communicative; add in her smile and warm personality and you have literally everything you could want in a vendor! In the planning stages, we had an equal amount of very specific song requests and very broad genres, and Jenny managed to take all of our ideas and transform them into a seamless playlist that fit our vibe perfectly. She also helped us figure out what mic configurations we would need to have a family member play a song for us on his guitar as a toast and helped me incorporate music into my surprise vows. ONE Jenny is fabulous, but we were lucky enough to have TWO awesome ladies working our actual wedding - Jenny as our MC and Marisa as our official DJ. Jenny kept our evening timeline running smoothly and Marisa kept our guests dancing happily (and quite vigorously!) the entire night. From the first call I made to Jenny (the owner) to the night of the party was a wonderful, easy & relaxed experience. Jenny is the sweetest person, she always got back to me and was available to answer any questions I had. Marisa, our DJ met with us before hand and listened to all of our suggestions and offered some great ideas to make the night an amazing evening. She did a fabulous job that night! What can I say about someone who is so wonderful? Jenny was right there for me through every step of my wedding! Through the planning, the rehearsal and the actual day. She took the time to figure out what I wanted and more importantly needed (even getting me a water bottle to stay hydrated.) I'm so grateful for her and highly recommend her to anyone and everyone. First things first - Hire Jenny. Jenny was an AMAZING component of our wedding! We're 100% certain that if Jenny hadn't been our DJ, the evening would not have been as successful as it was! I could go on and on about how she kept the dance floor moving and grooving (except for when I dragged everyone over to the bar to take shots...Sorry Jenny! My fault!) based on how everyone was reacting to the music. Even after the shots, she queued up some salsa music which brought everyone zipping right back to the floor. Jenny also made announcements for the different events and also has a great way to start ushering people towards the exit without it being so abrupt at the end of the night. No "lights up" moment after the last song here! Keeping the good music flowing is NOT the only reason why Jenny is worth every single cent. From the introductory meeting, Jenny was an incredibly calming presence. She listened to what I and my (then) fiancé wanted the evening to go, which wasn't much to go off of. We just said "please make sure everyone is having fun and please definitely do NOT cut off 'Baby Got Back' in the middle of the song," and she was able to take our less than detailed request and tell us exactly how she would structure the evening. Jenny is a sweetheart and really walks you through the whole process and also suggests ideas on timing for different events. If you are having trouble with music selections, she will give you a very detailed list of suggestions to help you along. About a month before the wedding, we met again to discuss music selections and a rough order of events. Jenny was amazing and was able to mix a song for the father/daughter dance for me and made edits and changes that I requested. She also attended our rehearsal and brought a little speaker so we could practice with the actual ceremony music which was fantastic for everyone involved. We loved having Jenny as our DJ and we kind of wish we could have another wedding just so we could keep partying with her! Essentially, the point of this very long review is: Jenny is amazing, she will make sure your guests are entertained, hire her for any event that you need music and an emcee for because she gives it her all and is brilliant at what she does. read more

Jenny was was by far the best choice we could have made for our wedding! She went above and beyond and truly made our wedding day! From the first time I talked to her I knew I had made the right choice. She went above and beyond for us! The lighting she set up was amazing and made our venue shine! When our day of coordinator couldn't make our rehearsal, Jenny stepped up and saved the day! I honesty couldn't have done it without her. These ladies are awesome!!! We hired them for our wedding last weekend and they seriously rocked the house - and did it seamlessly. They were well organized and on top of the schedule we provided them, leaving us to boogie down and have a blast. The MCing was on point, not obnoxious or over the top, but fun and upbeat. Excellent DJ services for a great price. Professional management. My company holds a holiday party every year. Frankly, last year's event was boring. Many of our employees stayed just long enough to see if they won a raffle prize, and not one minute longer. We lacked interaction and the ambiance was yawn-inducing. So we decided to get a DJ this year. Unsure what to expect, Marisa and her assistant Makai arrived two hours early to set up and make sure everything was in order. This made me feel good about our investment. They played awesome, modern music (after starting out a little milquetoast, but you can never tell what will offend people in 2016), providing an atmosphere that was completely missing from last year's event. Marisa even played interactive games (trivia, etc.) to help keep people engaged. Additionally, Marisa constantly communicated with us to ensure she was timing the games, the raffle, etc., according to our wishes. She demonstrated a good feel for the crowd. Marisa and Makai even got some (8-12) of our notoriously shy employees to dance, but I suspect alcohol played a role as well. On the back end, billing was easy to trace, which is important for my company. I was issued a proper invoice and was able to pay everything online (on a website that works!) with a company credit card. I can access and print invoices and transaction receipts at will, too. This provides total transparency, which means I won't have to deal with accounting interrogating me about this transaction. Some of our largest vendors don't have accounting this direct and manageable, so kudos to Jenny the owner here. If and when we need a DJ in the future, we'll contact Mix N Hits first. read more

Jenny is an amazing DJ. She was the DJ at our wedding and mixed our first dance song, father-daughter dance song, and mother-son dance song. She had several iterations of each song until we got the version we loved. She is very attentive and quick to respond to emails (and open to texting/calls too!) She really showed that she wanted our wedding to be perfect not just by playing the music to get our guests on the dance floor but also working with our coordinator to make sure everything went well behind the scenes on the wedding day. We had a couple miscommunications with playing the intro/outro of the father-daughter and mother-son dance songs but weren't a big deal to us as we had fun dancing. She got so many of our guests dancing that the dance floor couldn't fit everyone!
