Bekah's communication was on point, she asked all the right questions, and she was ready and willing to help us with anything we needed including tenting for 200 people. By the time some of our other caterer inquiries responded Bekah had already provided us a detailed proposal for our event. That kind of service and responsiveness is unmatched! Day of our lunch she was amazing about updating us that her team had prepped all the food and were on their way to start setting up. That helped put us at ease that the event would be on time and we had nothing to worry about. Everything went off without a hitch and we received rave reviews about the food from everyone! We will 100% be using Smokin' Yankees for all our future events! Thank you Smokin' Yankees Team!

So I thought I'd check it out. Portions are generous. Food looks and taste fresh. I would gladly serve to company and I'm going to enjoy having delicious meals that I can quickly toss on a plate and in the microwave and eat before the puppy gets into something else or needs to be taken out again :D The price for the quality, quantity and delivery was very fair and I will be using her services again for myself, and or for when I have company coming and not up to cooking a full meal but want something better than take-out -- as this truly is better than take-out, even though delivery.

She was charming and helpful throughout our initial planning conversations and when it came down to cooking she was excellent. She prepared the most lovely charcuterie boards for us as an appetizer with homemade bread, a wonderful chicken entree, and then a just-sweet-enough chocolate cake for dessert. And then there was homemade ice cream (so good it makes me want to learn to make my own!). Daun really made our evening special. If I'm ever in the area again looking for a private chef prepared meal, I'll be calling Daun.

To say JP's services were a letdown is an understatement. We've used JP Hibachi in the past with…read moregreat experiences, but something has clearly changed. For this event, the host had everything booked with JP but could not get a response for over a week leading up to it. No return calls, no texts; not even a simple "I'm busy, I'll get back to you soon." With no other option, the host had to cancel and scramble to purchase food for over 100 people the day before. Then, at 8:30 pm the night before the event, JP finally reached out, pleading for the chance to still do it. Against our better judgment, we gave him the opportunity after he made many promises to make things right. Unfortunately, the promises weren't kept. JP was supposed to come himself with two chefs, but only one chef arrived. That one person had to prepare food for 100 guests on a single griddle, which dragged service out for more than 3 hours. Guests were frustrated, and many left before eating. The crew didn't even arrive until 5 pm (after JP said they'd be there by 4 pm), and they didn't start cooking until nearly 7 pm...for a 5:30 pm event. The chef on site did the best they could, but they were set up to fail. Meanwhile, JP stopped communicating completely the day of the event and has ignored all attempts to reach him since. This was a fundraising event, and now it's not only a disappointment but also a financial loss of thousands of dollars. The lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability is unacceptable. A huge disappointment.
