What an Amazing event we had ! I started preparing and looking for catering companies at the beginning of January. After comparing other companies we hired Chavas Catering for our 10th Anniversary of our business and they did not disappoint! Communication was always on point whether it was by text or email. We discussed the details of what the menu offered and not included. He offered suggestions of items to incorporate: like chips and small bottles of water. When the day came, they arrived promptly. Set was quick and the office smelled wonderful. They were serving the guests for 2 hrs. and breaking down for clean up was seamless. They really have this "Down to a T!" Sal and his team catered our surprise birthday event and it could not have gone any better! They arrived 2 hours before serving time to set up and start cooking. In addition to the meats they served as a taco or quesadilla, they had 3 salsas, onions/cilantro, grilled onions and jalapeños, rice and beans and horchata. They served the food for 2 hours! 30 min before the 2 hour mark they had folks come one more time if they wanted and they also left us all of the meat, rice and beans that were not eaten. We hope everyone's okay that was involved in the accident! We know under certain circumstances it may have been impossible to notify your customers of what was going on. Hopefully one day we would be able to book again & have the same level of experience everyone has shared. The only word of advice we have is to please have someone on top of scheduling so there isn't a sudden cancellation on the day of. We were fortunate to find a company that could cater my sisters bridal shower on absolute short notice & that's extremely rare for businesses to do at about 7:30am in the morning on the day of the party. After not hearing from anyone leading up to the weekend of the party, my wife sent a text to confirm details and to send our gate code number, then she received a call explaining that there had been an accident and no one would be catering our event. If she had not sent a text to follow up, I can only imagine not knowing what to do while waiting for a caterer to show up that she booked a month ago. Again, we understand things happen, but if there's someone who can keep on top of party's that are booked maybe can we know this ahead of time rather than the morning of. Even a day in advance would've been helpful. My hope is that everyone is okay and that we could book again someday and experience what others have. read more

AMAZING experience with Taquizas con Chavajr! I contracted with this company for my 30th birthday party and it was the best decision. From the beginning Salvador was professional and efficient. I contacted the company through yelp and received a prompt response detailing their different service bundles. Each service option provided a variety of meats, drinks and sides making any of the options robust for any occasion. I opted for the first bundle/ service for my party that incuded three different meats, 2 sides, garnishes and agua fresca and turned out to be more than enough for my part of 50 people. What I appreciated about working with Salvador was how quickly he confirmed a date and offered a contract, providing me the piece of mind I needed when booking a new company about a month before my event. The day of the event, salvador showed up on time, was clean efficient and the food was amazing! My guest we so happy with the food the only complain I received was that they were left so full and wanting more!
