From the start they were clear and thoughtful about various services and pricing, tailoring a plan specific to the needs of our wedding and guests. Audrey was incredibly communicative and worked with us to develop a cocktail pairing that were huge hits at our cocktail hour and reception. She delivered a precise shopping list that made the preparation process seamless and was there to answer any questions in a timely manner when they arose. We used Mixed Events for our wedding this past Saturday. The drinks were great and people loved them! I enjoyed working with Audrey up to the event and she was great at fast communication. We had a few hiccups during the night. We didn't want Mixed Events tip jars to be put out because we wanted our guests to feel fully taken care of, and not have to tip for drinks. I had contacted Audrey very early on in our planning process, and she agreed that we could substitute a 20% tip ourselves, in place of the tip jars. Unfortunately, the tip jars were put out anyways. Our planner spoke to Audrey to inquire about the tip jars, to which we were told Audrey responded that she just thought she was getting more. The tip jar agreement was not part of the contract, so perhaps that's my mistake, but I do have text messages about the agreement. A second issue we ran into was alcohol supply. Audrey gave us a detailed shopping list with exactly how much liquor and mixers we needed to buy. One of our signature drinks had whiskey. We provided slightly more whiskey than was on the shopping list. Pretty early on in the event (during cocktail hour, before the reception even started), Audrey informed our planner that the whiskey was almost gone. Our planner came to us with that information, and Audrey added that she needed more whiskey, sweet and sour mix, and one other mixer. My father had to leave the event to get more supplies, even though we had provided what was communicated to us. Perhaps our guests drank more than expected :) but I would have thought that Audrey might send one of her bartenders to the store, or had another solution/backup plan, as opposed to leaving solving the problem up to us on our wedding day. In the end, our guests enjoyed the drinks and service was friendly. I enjoyed working with Mixed Events, but there were just some miscommunications. The hiccups were small, and we had an overall good experience. read more

Working with Audrey and her team was truly a fabulous experience. Starting with the tasting we had so much fun working with Audrey and her team tasting and deciding on our delicious signature cocktails (such creative cocktails!). She and her team were then so helpful in making sure we had everything we needed for the big day including a super detailed shopping list. All the way through our big day where they provided a line-free delicious cocktail and beverage service for our guests that really made our big day! I used this service for my wedding earlier this month, and was initially very pleased with it. The price point was in my budget, the correspondence from the owner seemed great and I was generally very pleased. i booked in July for my November wedding, and I was told that I would be given a detailed list of recommended products to buy for the two signature cocktails we selected, along with general estimates of how much to get of everything (sodas, water, etc) based on my guest count. While I did eventually receive this, it took me reaching out multiple times over the course of 2-3 weeks before I got it, and it wasn't until about a month out from my wedding. All that aside I was still pleased with the service, as from my perspective everything else went smoothly. Until my friends and family informed me that the bartender working my event, was extremely rude to them. My mom went to get a drink for herself before the ceremony and was told they weren't open and couldn't serve her. Which to an extent i understand, but it was not until my coordinator informed the bartender that she was the mother of the bride, was she treated with any sort of respect. which makes me very upset and frustrated. The bartender was also rude to my mother in law, who was trying to get a glass of wine for my grandma. Even after she informed her that she was the mother of the groom, she still would not pour out the wine even though it was open. Later in the evening a family member was seen in the kitchen setting up our cocktail hour spread, and went to request a white claw and was denied and told, "vendors aren't allowed to drink," and this was said in a rude manor. I understand there is no way Audrey could've known she was family, but I do not remember seeing anything stating vendors couldn't enjoy a drink nor did I ever say it. I understand that we paid for a certain amount of hours for "pour service." And while I understand that as a business they may not have wanted to go outside of that time frame due to not charging me more or the contract we agreed upon. However, it should've been handled in a more professional way, and certainly without being rude to anyone. As we brought and paid for the alcohol and it was just sitting behind the bar, i dont see why they couldn't have said THEY technically cant serve yet and just let my family serve themselves as they were all of drinking age and not requesting anything such as a cocktail. this business came highly recommended through facebook and our venue, so i had really high expectations. Again, the serving stuff i understand to an extent as that was outside our agreed upon contract. However being rude to anyone whether its a guest, family member, or vendor is unacceptable. If i am paying you to do a service for an event, i would expect it to be friendly. There were two people working my wedding, audrey and a male bartender. I have heard great things about him, i wish i knew his name so i could shout him out, but multiple guests informed me that the female bartender was extremely unkind. I don't know if we caught Audrey on a bad day, or in a rough season but if she was not feeling up to working my wedding with a smile, I wish she would've contacted me or my coordinator to relay this and provide the contact for the replacement bartender. read more

WOW. Please do yourself a favor and hire Mixed Events. I am not one to post a lot of 5 star reviews, but Mixed Events definitely earned it. There is so much that goes into hiring vendors and making sure that your big day goes smoothly; Audrey and her team did so many things that made me so happy that we had them on our big day. 1) Service, both before AND day of event. Ok so Audrey was super responsive to all of our needs prior to our big day. She helped us navigate what we wanted and used her expertise to make sure our vision (which wasn't always clear) was executed to perfection day of. We wanted to do a sake bonzai toast at our wedding to honor our Japanese heritage. Audrey made it happen! It was a super cool and unique thing that we weren't sure could happen, but Audrey and her team cam through and figured out all of the logistics. Another extra thing that she went above and beyond on which I really appreciated were consultation calls while we purchased our alcohol. We were literally in Costco, buying supplies and had Audrey on the phone to help us. On the big day, Audrey or someone from her team personally checked in with the groom and myself approximately every 30 minutes to make sure were were well hydrated and taken care of. AMAZIING! 2) Staff. Her staff was professional and fun! Our guests raved how efficient her staff were at getting drinks out, how they added to the fun atmosphere of the day, and how smoothly everything ran at the bars in general. There were rarely lines and backups, even during cocktail hour rushes. Overall just really good people who are good at their jobs. 3) Drinks. They were delish. Our signature cocktails were on point. Audrey made her specialty infused syrup and it was so good. We would seriously purchase it for our home bar is she sold it. The drinks also looked beautiful with the garnishes. When they tell you to hire wedding vendors that you connect with to make the process easier, this is who they're talking about. I can't say enough great things about the Mixed Events team. The owner, Audrey, is warm, fun and extremely knowledgeable from years of experience in the beverage industry. She's the type of person who makes you feel like she's taking care of a friend and not a client. She was prompt, responsive and patient answering my many many questions. She shoots it straight and aims to keep it simple, for the client. She helped make recommendations and introductions to industry contacts when our wedding venue cancelled on us 5 months before our wedding date - actually that doesn't even do it justice, she put up the bat-signal on her industry message boards on our behalf and found us at least 10 new leads. When we needed ice delivery at the last minute, she came to the rescue with another industry friend. Came up with a creative cider mock-tail & sangrias when our new venue didn't allow hard liquor. She went above and beyond. On the day of our event her staff was friendly and fun, and made a point to remember what the father of the bride was drinking and keep his glass full. They're pros.
