A couple of my dogs muddy buddies.
    Brian B.

I've been taking my 4 month old Labrador almost every day for about a month now. Her favorite section of the park sometimes gets muddy, so we simply move to another section. Each section is large and has multiple pavilions with benches which is nice if your pup is scared or not getting along with another dog....it's easy to move away. Note to staff: If the benches were arranged in the center of the pavilions facing outward it would be easier for people to keep an eye on their dog, plus offer more shade. The people are mostly nice and we enjoy all the different breeds that show up. Other reviews complain about the lack of restrooms for humans and the park has responded with 2 Porto-pottys.... Not ideal yet better than nothing. There are shaded pavilions but they are not waterproof and there's no where to escape the rain. Water hoses near the entrance provide a easy way to rinse my happy pup before heading home. Arrf!

If I were a dog, this is where I would want to play! I went here today with my mom and her dog who are regulars of this place. When they told me I was going to dog a park, I didn't expect to be wowed but here we are. There are beautiful, spacious areas for the little (up to 20 lbs) and the big (20 lbs or more) dogs. They have little pavilions set up in each one so the two legged friends can sit and chat while the dogs get their run on. I thought it's a little odd that you have to have a permit for this dog park but i could see non residents coming in and enjoying it while their taxes don't go to the upkeep. All in all, a friendly, clean dog park to visit if you have friends in Boca with a permit or want to go with your dog one day! I didn't see any funky doggie business going on so it was a successful trip!

Mizner Bark Dog Park is a great place to bring your dog. They can stretch their legs and sniff many other friendly dogs. The dogs are divided into sections depending upon their weight. My dog had a ball running to his hearts content. He wore himself out which is hard to do. The area is nicely manicured and well-kept. There are several very clean watering areas for your dog to enjoy. All of the dogs we encountered were well-behaved and sweet. Mizner has an area where you can wash your dog which is quite nice and comes in handy. They are very careful about who gets in. You have to be a resident of Boca Raton or pay a fee. Onyx, my dog had a wonderful time. We will be back for more fun soon!

Terrific dog park! My puppy loves coming here and running around and I love that it tires her out. They have the park sectioned off for small, medium, and large dogs. They have water fountains for the pups, but I wouldn't recommend letting your dog drink from them.Well manicured park with lots of grass and space for running.

Wonderful dog park. Lots of space for the pups to run around, there are a couple of water fountains, clean, and the humans are pretty friendly too. The only thing is there aren't TOO many benches around if you want to bench hop while your dog is wandering the vast space but there's plenty of sidewalk if you want to stay afoot.

Got a nice little wound on his left ear

Ask the Community - Mizner Bark Dog Park

How do they patrol permit for dogs? My dog got bit today there. We watched people parking at post office and walking into park.

I have only witnessed them checking vehicles for permit stickers... And since that's all that is required to go to park, I see no other way to check the actual people or dogs.… Read more

Unfortunately, you have to get a permit from Boca Raton, but that is probably what keeps the park so nice.

I think that the ocean should be free but to each their own opinions. Better option is to find parallel parking IF you can. Anyways, pay $20 to park in the dedicated parking lot, pay your $11/dog for your dog passes, & then walk through the long tunnel into the beach, you can only go left once entered the beach with your dogs, must show your tickets/"dog pass" to whatever security guard that is at the beach entrance, should be a very quick ordeal and go about your business. Extremely packed beach, packed with a TON of dogs, very oddly enough, not everyone in the dog beach is "dog friendly" so keep an eye on your dog. Best deal is to come towards closing (for the sunset & the heat decrease) especially if you weren't planning on spending the entire day.

We soon found George Snow Park on Google Maps, and would never have known it was tucked away off of Glades had we not specifically been searching for playgrounds. But what an ADORABLE park this is! We stopped here around 10 am or so on a Saturday morning, and it was initially just us and one other mom and her kid. We headed straight for the swings (my son's favorite), and then afterward let him have free reign to explore what he wanted. He loved the setup with all of the spinny toys and bells! As we stayed longer, more and more families started showing up, but it didn't ever feel too crowded while we were there. We loved how shaded the playground area was -- the weather was still slightly cooler then, but I know that shade is all the more appreciated in the summer. He was still a little too small for the bigger playground sets (he hadn't quite figured out stairs at that point), but now that he's grown a bit, I will absolutely bring him back here on our next trip to South Florida so he can explore further and go on the slides! I have yet to find a playground in Tampa as nice as this one!

Their names are on 50 buildings in the area including this park. Countess De Hoernle passed away at the age of 103 in 2016. This 80 acre park was created in 2012 on land that used to belong to the IBM Corporation. The Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District used 13.9 million dollars of tax money to build the park. This park also known as the Spanish River Athletic Facility has a lot of amenities. It is ADA accessible. It has many sports fields including 4 baseball / softball field, football field, and 4 soccer fields. There is restrooms, concession stands, a playground, picnic areas with tables, and exercise paths. Lacrosse and rugby are other sports played in the park. My favorite part of the park is the exercise path that runs around the 20 acre lake. I loved watching ospreys diving into the lake and coming up with fish. This lake attracts a wildlife including birds and even a snake that crossed my path. There is a fitness zone with outdoor exercise path along this path but it is currently closed because of Covid. This path connects under the bridge to the path that runs through Pondhawk Natural Area across the road. That path also leads to the Spanish River Library. You can really get a great running/ walking workout here. There are even more exercise paths that run behind the athletic fields in the back of the park. Another great thing about this park is that there is a lot of security which puts your mind at ease that your car is less likely to get broken into compared to other parks. I saw security driving around on the golf cart several times during my visit. This park is open every day from 8 to 11 except for Sunday when they close at 6. I love working out at this lovely park.

You can go around the lakes and stop by the Pondhawk Natural Area if you so desire. The trail links up with the El Rio Trail. As you exit the park, you can cycle west toward Military Trail and still be on the sidewalk. As you exit the park, you can ,also, head east and get on another part of the El Rio Trail ,or you can ride a bike over the bridge that goes over the expressway to add onto your ride. The big downside is that some people don't stay to the right while walking, so you end up with them blocking the path. There are signs at one part of the lake that say Dog are prohibited, but people seem to ignore that. To sum it up, it's a nice place to ride or walk except for inconsiderate people.

We arrived early, and although the parking lot is pretty large, it filled up quickly because of the event. I'm sure on regular days parking is much easier to find. Right at the entrance there's a drinking fountain, which was nice on such a hot Florida day. The park has two playgrounds -- one for younger kids and another for older children. There's also a covered pavilion area where the restroom is located. The restroom itself looked quite old and unfortunately wasn't very clean. Also, the park closes fairly early (7 AM-7 PM), and they actually lock the restroom at closing time. Huge thanks to the park ranger though -- my kids needed the restroom at the very last minute, and we literally ran to make it before the door closed. The ranger saw us coming and kindly waited for us. Very appreciated! One thing I really liked about this park is the amount of shade. There are huge trees all around the playground, so even during the heat it feels cooler and breezy. We were also surprised to find a small gazebo with a roof fully covered in solar panels -- it even had lights in the evening and a spot to charge your phone, which was such a cool detail. There aren't many benches around the playground, so my little life hack: bring a folding chair or a picnic blanket. And definitely bring mosquito spray for the evening. The playground surface looks like rubber, but somehow my kids still ended up super dusty and dirty after playing. An ice cream truck came by during the event, and the entire playground rushed toward it immediately -- of course we did too The ice cream was actually really good. I got the orange & cream flavor, and my kids chose mango. Around the playground there are walking trails and a lake with a small bridge nearby. Just something to note: the bridge doesn't have side rails, so keep an eye on little kids. Overall, it's a nice park with great shade, lots of breeze, and a relaxing atmosphere.
