What more could you want from a dog park. I haven't had a puppy in many a year. I'm relearning how to do it. Having a stubborn type of little guy like a Shiba Inu makes it even more interesting. But no matter how trying it can be, you still want to spoil the little guy. One of the best ways can be a dog park. My dog park, by proximity and by choice is Mizner bark. I checked out ahead of time and got the parking sticker, so no whining complaints there. It was easy to park. getting in can be a little tricky the first time, as you realize there is 4 gates to go through, precaution against mischievous canines trying to go on the lamb. The place is well laid out, with a wandering paved path, undulating grass, and benches for those of us who would rather sit and let the dogs do the cardio. There is a few different water fountains, with a lower fountain for the dogs to enjoy as well. Although it seems to common that dogs don't trust these fountains and would rather dehydrate a little that take "strange" water. It's larger than some I have been to. The dogs and the people still converge near certain sitting areas. It's nice to stray though(pun intended), to the distant parts where it's quiet. There are regulars, so it does provide a chance for your dog to meet dogs that he may already have met before. Certainly the social nature of Mizner Bark is as good as any I have seen. I'm glad there is a such a relaxing spot in East Boca. read more

I love bringing my boyfriend's dog to this park. He get's so happy as soon as he gets out of the car, knowing this is a safe place where he can run and play for as long as he wants. The park is very well kept. Clean, grass is always trimmed, and they have bag to pick after your dog all around. They have 3 different areas (little dogs, medium dogs, and large dogs - all by weight) and each has it's own gate, in addition to two more gate at the entrance to make sure no dog tries to escape. They have gazebos with benches, and water fountains both for dogs and humans. There's always plenty of parking (just make sure you get a permit so you don't get in trouble). I've been taking my 4 month old Labrador almost every day for about a month now. Her favorite section of the park sometimes gets muddy, so we simply move to another section. Each section is large and has multiple pavilions with benches which is nice if your pup is scared or not getting along with another dog....it's easy to move away. Note to staff: If the benches were arranged in the center of the pavilions facing outward it would be easier for people to keep an eye on their dog, plus offer more shade. The people are mostly nice and we enjoy all the different breeds that show up. Other reviews complain about the lack of restrooms for humans and the park has responded with 2 Porto-pottys.... Not ideal yet better than nothing. There are shaded pavilions but they are not waterproof and there's no where to escape the rain. Water hoses near the entrance provide a easy way to rinse my happy pup before heading home. Arrf! read more

If I were a dog, this is where I would want to play! I went here today with my mom and her dog who are regulars of this place. When they told me I was going to dog a park, I didn't expect to be wowed but here we are. There are beautiful, spacious areas for the little (up to 20 lbs) and the big (20 lbs or more) dogs. They have little pavilions set up in each one so the two legged friends can sit and chat while the dogs get their run on. I thought it's a little odd that you have to have a permit for this dog park but i could see non residents coming in and enjoying it while their taxes don't go to the upkeep. All in all, a friendly, clean dog park to visit if you have friends in Boca with a permit or want to go with your dog one day! I didn't see any funky doggie business going on so it was a successful trip! read more

Mizner Bark Dog Park is a great place to bring your dog. They can stretch their legs and sniff many other friendly dogs. The dogs are divided into sections depending upon their weight. My dog had a ball running to his hearts content. He wore himself out which is hard to do. The area is nicely manicured and well-kept. There are several very clean watering areas for your dog to enjoy. All of the dogs we encountered were well-behaved and sweet. Mizner has an area where you can wash your dog which is quite nice and comes in handy. They are very careful about who gets in. You have to be a resident of Boca Raton or pay a fee. Onyx, my dog had a wonderful time. We will be back for more fun soon! read more

My dog loves it! My dog is very fearful but she has a darn good time there. I've been to other dog parks with shady looking people hanging out or with little to no grass or shade, and Mizner Bark is a big step up from that kind of parks. It's true that you have to pay a lot if you're not a resident of the City of Boca Raton, but that's how they pay for it: our taxes, and fees for non-residents (nothing's free in this world). Some days people don't seem overly friendly (or friendly at all), but I go there so my dog can exercise, not for my own social hour. Though what one person said is true. You can't be too sure of the dogs that are in there at any given time, so check around and move to the other area for bigger or smaller dogs to keep your dog -and yourself- safe. It's busiest just before dusk, so if your dog doesn't get along with others, maybe it's better to avoid peak hours. read more

Wonderful dog park. Lots of space for the pups to run around, there are a couple of water fountains, clean, and the humans are pretty friendly too. The only thing is there aren't TOO many benches around if you want to bench hop while your dog is wandering the vast space but there's plenty of sidewalk if you want to stay afoot. read more

This is a decent dog park and it is close to my house so I tend to frequent this park more because of that reason alone. They also require you to have a special dog park parking sticker on your car or else they will ticket you (I think this is silly). If you are a Boca resident it is free but if you aren't they want money and I don't think its worth it when there are many other dog parks in the Boca area that are free and don't require you to have a parking sticker. The park is always clean and there is always plenty of parking. It is divided like most dog parks by the size of the dog and there are a lot of benches to sit that have shade. read more

I don't know what my dog, Niko, and I would do without Boca Raton's dog park. Across the street from the post office on Banyan Trail, this dog park isn't too far from pretty much all the neighborhoods in Boca Raton. The park features 3 separate areas: one for small dogs (up to 20 lbs), medium dogs (20 to 40 lbs), and large dogs (40+ lbs). The people that go here are generally nice. I am sure as with any dog park there are a couple owners that are irresponsible with their dogs. In order to park here, you have to have a car decal which you can get at Boca's city hall. The permit is free to anyone in Boca (proof of residency required) or $25 per month to everyone else. They have a ranger that comes by like once a week or so and he writes tickets. The hours are pretty much sunrise to sunset except on Wednesday, it's noon to sunset. There are no bathrooms and smoking is prohibited. They have trashcans and bags for when dog goes #2. The park can get pretty busy on weekends and afternoons when everybody gets off work. I really recommend this place to anyone in Boca with a dog and I am glad Boca has a place like this. read more

This is not a bad park. Lots of area for the dogs to run around and plenty of clean water fountains for the pups to drink. There are 2 play areas for large dogs and small dogs. The park kind of sucks in that you have to be a boca resident to park in any reasonable spot. I live in delray so i had to walk what felt like a half of a mile before i even got to the park. also the park is tucked away in the back of what felt like an industrial park. Overall a nice park but the location and parking for non residents (of boca) make it a 4 star park. read more

It's a nice place, just not what we're used to. I have an eight-month-old mini schnauzer, and she loves to play at the park. However, we are having a hard time finding one where she can make playtime friends. Most dogs seem to be older or just more inactive than we're used to. There's not a whole lot of running around going on. :( The park itself is really pretty, clean as can be, and has multiple areas to sit and shade oneself. Parking is silly and requires some kind of city pass I didn't have, but no one was there checking. We go weekend mornings between 9 and 11 am. read more

This park was okay if you aren't a resident you need a permit to park is 25 dollars for the month or 265 dollars for the year which I think is a wasted money and time because the park doesn't play its part . Is not that clean or nice . It needs some work done to it . They have to refilled it with grass and they overall have to make it nicer and better . If it rains it will get muddy and dirty and your dogs can get very dirty . The only thing I loved was that it had a lot of trees and there was so much shade . I suggest to find another park saves you money since is a crappy park . read more

This took me a while to write a review, but I took my French bulldog who was only 5 months at the time here for his first dog park experience. He's a very friendly dog who just loves to play with other dogs and is very curious. He was greeted by a few dogs who immediately began to play. Everything was great until this little "bully" dog of the park came up to my dog and just started to attack him. The owner stood around as this little white terrier locked his jaw on my puppy's ear and then his neck. Just as I went to grab my puppy from being pinned down the owner laughs and tells me that that's just the way dogs play. I've had dogs all my life and I've seen how some dogs play rough but this terrier was legit attacking my dog. So, with it being my puppy's first time at a dog park my first instinct is to pull him away because he wasn't even trying to defend his little self. Everyone just sat around and watched what was happening. We moved to another area of the park where my pup and other puppies were playing very nice and getting along great. Long story short, I never got an apology for this guy and his dog biting my dog. I will never come back to this park again because I found a much friendlier and more welcoming dog park that my dog enjoys. If I can give it 0 stars I would but I guess it deserves one star since I was able to avoid getting a parking ticket! That's the only good thing I got from this park. Lol read more

I am so grateful to have the Mizner Bark! My dogs really loved it there and I like how it's separated into three sections of dog sizes instead of just 2 like most dog parks. It is also very clean and there is not much open dirt. The one thing I really don't like is some of the old crotchety people that hang out there. I go in the little dog section which is where they all are. If you have a medium or big dog the people in those sections are overall very chill. I just ignore the bitter old people and enjoy the beautiful park! read more

The park itself was great; lots of doggie activity even on a Tuesday morning. Clean, water fountains, shade and plenty of space, even in the small dog area. 3 separate areas for size, so that's nice to prevent doggie bullying. Many gates to prevent escapees. :) My only complaint is that it's not for the "casual" doggie park visitor. I have a friend in Deerfield and we just wanted to take our puppies to play (siblings) and this is the closest park. We don't do it often, so paying $25 a month or $265 a year JUST TO PARK (and having to put the sticker on to boot) seems absolutely ridiculous. I would prefer if they just had meters - I wouldn't mind paying a few dollars each time I come. Give people the option. It's a much better solution for those who are only occasional visitors. Think about it, Boca! No need to be so snobby. I usually take my pup to the Parkland doggie park, just as nicely kept, and free parking! read more

Great Park. Well maintained. Lots of people and dogs. Don't ley this scare you but Just be very aware that you need to lock your car and TAKE EVERYTHING OUT. There is at least 1 breakin a week no matter how many people are there. break a window and grab. It takes them 30 seconds from arrival to departure. Each one, including my wife, and others when I have been there, have left valuables in sight and a perfect target. I'll always go back because it is such a great Park. Love this place for my doggie, especially the small dog area, I love that they have separated areas by weight and its really organized and neat. However I've been noticing that dog owners don't pick up their dog's poop. Its the third time I come this past few weeks and I see more of it every time! Its starting to smell and get gross!
