Worst service ever tell me how the hours say for weekend rentals they are open until 4pnm. I pulled into the park paid the fee, asked the guy if the rentals were open he said yes til 4pm. I get to the window of the rentals at 3:05pm and am told by one of the two girls inside that she is "finna gonna leave" and unable to rent us a boat. So unprofessional and if that is the case then perhaps they need to change the sign to closed at 3pm on weekends. I drove 40min to come do this with the kids as a new experience, and was sent on a recommendation, yet this is the service I get. Two teenage girls ready to close up shop early. I won't recommend this place as I was highly dissatisfied with my experience.

So proud- finally made it to the top!

You know when you're walking your fur buddy and he/she comes face to face with another four legged friend, they get stressed because of that awful leash that keeps them from real play time? Well this place is a great place to let them run free and play. It's brand new, very clean and fun for your pup. I've just been on week days and there is rarely more then 2 or 3 other dogs (this will change once word gets out). There are shade trees and a large umbrella for shelter from the sun. There's also drinking water for your dog and you, picnic tables, and doggy obstacles to challenge the adventurous ones. And best of all, there is a water feature with fountains for those all too familiar hot days. What you should know: 1. You must register at the park office with proof of vaccinations. 2. $5 per visit (+ $1.50 per visit on weekends) 3. $25 for annual pass...still $1.50 on wknds 4. Park has 2 sections... Less than 40lbs and more tham 40lbs. 5. There are restrooms on premise. 6. There are bags and specific cans to put your pups business in. Please clean up after them.

Our puppy Sophie (the darker Golden) made a new friend named Bentley.

Wow! This place is great. We stumbled on this brand new dog park by accident. Our puppy (and us) had a great time. The water features were lots of fun for the dogs. Make sure you have towels in your car; there's gonna be one wet, tired dog on the back seat. We plan on being regulars here.

This park is awesome! My two dogs love it. It make me feel safe knowing only vaccinated dogs are allowed and you get a pin code for the gate. Pricing wise is awesome for the safety of your pups as well. The parks are well kept with large open spaces for my dogs to run wild and the little splash pad is great in this always warm heat.

Love this new dog park! Thank you Broward County!

This is great! We are so happy to finally have a dog park in Deerfield Beach! And it's beautiful! $26 for the year.

I finally stopped coming because some people were not watching their dogs as closely as they should. The worst incident I saw happened when a bike rider was going past the fence. A dog pulled off the leash a man was holding and leaped up and ripped her arm open. After that I was done. The problems of the past seem to be over with the new renovation of the dog park. You must register your pet now in order to use it. Registration is $35 for Coconut Creek residents and $70 for non residents. There are separate parks for large and small dogs. The city has added wash stations and agility equipment for the dogs. The park is lovely since it borders a lake and there are over 60 trees providing shade. Water fountains, benches, and a wash station were also added. Keeping your pet safe is a security fence surrounding the entire dog park. Right now only around 150 dog owners have signed up so the park is never crowded. The park is closed on Tuesdays for maintenance. The iconic windmill of the park has now been moved to the inside of the dog park and a lot of landscaping was added. The renovation of the dog park was part of a 3 million dollar Windmill park renovation. Parking used to be dicey but not anymore as the parking lot has been expanded to twice it's size. A new playground has been also added for human kids. Furry kids can be registered at the Community Center up the street on Lyons Road. Once you pay you are given a FOB to enter the dog park fence.

They have a nice office right at the entrance of the park and a two dual port EV charging stations. Both the small and large dog parks are roughly 3⁄4 of an acre each. Exclusive amenities include private dog wash stations, attached restrooms, agility equipment, pavilions, 6-foot wide sidewalks, water fountains, benches, security fencing, and over 60 trees for shading. Usual opening hours are 8am to dusk, but check their website for updates. Renovated in September of 2019, Windmill Park is a fully customized, family-oriented, and pet-friendly environment. Located on Lyons Road north of Atlantic Boulevard, besides the dog park, Windmill Park offers pickleball courts, tennis courts, racquetball courts, sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, walking path, and a covered playground.

We arrived early, and although the parking lot is pretty large, it filled up quickly because of the event. I'm sure on regular days parking is much easier to find. Right at the entrance there's a drinking fountain, which was nice on such a hot Florida day. The park has two playgrounds -- one for younger kids and another for older children. There's also a covered pavilion area where the restroom is located. The restroom itself looked quite old and unfortunately wasn't very clean. Also, the park closes fairly early (7 AM-7 PM), and they actually lock the restroom at closing time. Huge thanks to the park ranger though -- my kids needed the restroom at the very last minute, and we literally ran to make it before the door closed. The ranger saw us coming and kindly waited for us. Very appreciated! One thing I really liked about this park is the amount of shade. There are huge trees all around the playground, so even during the heat it feels cooler and breezy. We were also surprised to find a small gazebo with a roof fully covered in solar panels -- it even had lights in the evening and a spot to charge your phone, which was such a cool detail. There aren't many benches around the playground, so my little life hack: bring a folding chair or a picnic blanket. And definitely bring mosquito spray for the evening. The playground surface looks like rubber, but somehow my kids still ended up super dusty and dirty after playing. An ice cream truck came by during the event, and the entire playground rushed toward it immediately -- of course we did too The ice cream was actually really good. I got the orange & cream flavor, and my kids chose mango. Around the playground there are walking trails and a lake with a small bridge nearby. Just something to note: the bridge doesn't have side rails, so keep an eye on little kids. Overall, it's a nice park with great shade, lots of breeze, and a relaxing atmosphere.
