We did neither! Instead, William M. Crosby wrongfully charged me for his legal fees and costs when the retainer stated I owed him nothing unless the opposition paid. Because I trusted him after he boasted his devout Christian faith, I paid him over $14,000 when I didn't understand I owed him ZERO. Here is his misleading web ad: "....our TEAM provides a range of legal services.... you will always receive representation that helps you get the BEST outcome for your legal situation." (Emphasis added) "Team"? He is the sole lawyer. "Best Outcome"? During a lunch, he told me he was forced to encourage a client to accept a lesser amount of money to settle because William M Crosby was in DIRE need of cash and needed a settlement to be deposited to his bank account quickly. Last Christmas I asked him for help for a friend who signed a 100% contingency retainer; I told him the lawyer charged for fees and costs. I asked what my friend should do? William M Crosby said what the lawyer did was WRONG. He said my friend should go back to the lawyer and ask for the return of the ill-gotten funds and if the lawyer didn't return the funds, to file a complaint with the CA State Bar. This is when I realized how William M. Crosby had wrongfully taken advantage of me. In January 2024, I called and asked William M Crosby to reimburse my money. He refused... and angrily hung up on me. This is a man who professes his purpose in life is to create justice in this world.
