We felt some apprehension about having the dogs alone overnight with only day visits for walks and feedings, and initially decided to have the pet sitter stay overnight. We met with our primary pet sitter, Allayn, and her back up / emergency coverage sitter Roxy (just the idea that they had a back up plan was reassuring). They were thorough in their questions and really made us comfortable before our trip. Then, on short notice, we had a family emergency and needed a sitter on very short notice, several weeks before our planned vacation. Allayn was able to accommodate us, and the short 3 day coverage, without a sleep-over, convinced us our pets would be fine. Allayn has a great way with dogs (even our cat, who hates everyone, warmed up to her). She's also very reliable, and is a great communicator. For our vacation, we decided that we didn't need the overnight stay - as Allayn fed, exercised, groomed and even vacuumed) and the animals were fine. One of the dogs developed a health issue just before or vacation - Allayn gave his meds, and communicated with us about his condition, keeping us from worrying too much. The price is reasonable - about the same as 2 dogs in a kennel - and the service is outstanding. And I now believe the dogs were happier in their own homes than they ever were in a kennel. I highly recommend Happy pet Caregivers, and Allayn in particular.

We then chose our time of day we wanted them to come and our preferences of how many times and how long we wanted the pet sitter to stay. When everything was booked, we met Cassandra and Alisha and Chloe loved them RIGHT away! That was something my husband and I really liked, is that the sitters who would be watching her, met her prior to us going away. All of this happened in a span of 2 weeks since our original plans of who would watch Chloe fell through. During the trip, Cassandra and Alisha were AMAZING! We received email updates with pictures after every bedtime visit (we chose 3 visits a day with just one update but you can customize to however you want!). Those pictures and updates are what got us through the week! It was great because the girls not only cleaned up fuzz and animal pieces from her toys, but also helped clean the containers that had her food in them. During that week, Chloe was on a special diet of chicken and rice as well as medicine and a powder probiotic. the girls did WONDERFUL with managing that entire situation. Jessica, the owner was also beyond amazing for getting back to us so quickly when it was the day before we left for our vacation and she had to be put on all of this medicine and special diet. This company was amazing and we will most definitely be using them again in the future and going to be requesting the same 2 girls since Chloe loved them so much! The front desk employee was friendly and enthusiastic about showing me how to use everything. This was $15 per 20-min slot. I ended up paying $45 for an hour and a half (it took me 1 hr to blow dry my doodle). It was my first time ever grooming the pup on my own as a doodle can be very labor intensive, but Sit Pretty made it very easy for me to do it and helped me out every time I had a question.
