I said hello, said my name, and she DIDNT say hi my name is, and I'll be doing your lashes today. We just need you to fill out this sheet beforehand. No, She was ice cold, "hi, once that girls done with the computer you'll need to fill out a form." I tried to be overly nice so maybe she would become nicer. That didn't work. She wasn't mean or anything, just not warm and friendly, As you would expect in an atmosphere like this. You come to these places to feel a bit pampered. It's uncomfortable to have someone in your space for an hour if you haven't developed some sort of friendliness...... The whole time I was filling out the form I was hoping she wasn't the one doing my lashes. Unfortunately she was. She showed me to the bed, asked me to lay down. Asked me if I'd had my lashes done before, I responded, I have. I told her how I would like them. She said okay, then the only time she said a word was when I asked a question. I felt like she should say okay, putting this on now. But maybe you guys like more of a quiet atmosphere, which if fair. It's nice though to hear what's going on your face. Again she wasn't mean, she just wasn't friendly, inviting, warm. Overall experience was that it just didn't have the feel I like when getting my lashes done. I want warm, relaxing, professional, luxury. I want to feel happy, invited. At one point I was thinking, did I maybe upset her. It was just uncomfortable. The whole time with my eyes closed I was thinking I don't like this. There were moments she was hurting me, it happens, it's ok, you know a little lash pull here and there the norm, but she didn't say a word when I would wince. Not, oh sorry, oh are you okay? Silence. Dead silent. Then at the end I guess some glue was on my eyelid and she was trying to pick it off, I couldn't tell at the moment, as I'm laying there with my eyes shut. It hurt as she was trying to get it off, I winced, she said Nothing, she gave up, had me sit up, wipe my own eyes with a cloth, which I found weird. Then said oh there's glue on your lid, it will come off later. I said ok. (I've never experience that at a spa before) It's not a small amount of money for a tint and lift. I just expected more since the reviews were so great.

I've tried all manner of waterproof, sweatproof, primers, etc...high end, low end, and likely most in-between, since age 40 (I only started having trouble at that age even though I'd worn mascara since I was a teenager). I'm 51, hot flashes and the delicate undereye area (stretches and pulls from all makeup removers, I want to minimize wrinkles) make it not worth trying and paying for product anymore. At the same time, I've always had blonde eyelashes; and, even though they are long and healthy, it looks like I don't have ANY eyelashes without mascara. I have sensitive skin as well. I decided to treat myself and have my eyelashes tinted so as to have one less thing to worry about during the hectic holiday season. I Googled eyelash tinting and was glad to find a 5-star place and read reviews praising Erin's services. Simple tinting was just $20! However, I was VERY nervous to go to a private residence/business with my eyes. Erin took my information over the phone, booked me an appointment for the next day, sent me a confirmation e-mail, and gave me directions (accepts cash & card). When I arrived, I was instantly put at ease to see an immaculately clean, invitingly decorated and welcoming personal salon located in a well kept, modern home (look for the yellow door). I was the only one there; one chair, no lines, no waiting, no curious eyes of other customers upon me and the aesthetician's undivided attention. Erin had me fill out consent forms and asked me about what I wanted, needed and expected; answering my questions with confidence and ease. When I chose my shade, Erin was excited for me. She explained the procedure, showing me the tinting product and letting me know what to expect in terms of wear, care, and performance. This was AFTER I'd already replied to her email, peppering her with questions AND she'd replied within the same 24 hours (even though I believe Google said typically responds in a couple days nd I didn't expect to hear back so quickly). We chatted a bit and I got to relax, too...under a soft, fluffy blanket which made me feel like I was going to sleep as I closed my eyes. The entire process took under 20 minutes. I'm very happy with the results...in my 20s, I'd had the same procedure done a few times at Sheraton Hotel spas in New England, paying twice as much for the same quality in a more commercial setting. I brought in a photo of what I wanted my nails to look like and Nina went to work. Sadly I don't have strong nails and 3 of my natural nails broke. I have the acrylic placed on my natural nail if possible. The longer nails had caused my thumb nail to break almost entirely off, but because I had super glued it she managed to save it and also my middle finger nail as well that was badly damaged. While we were removing the other acrylic form the other set my one nail broke off. But she added a tip to it and was able to make my nails seem less. They looked just like the photo of what I asked for. It was a great start to my new year! I would recommend to anyone. It's a great place, with kind people with great prices.
