Great outcome (in my opinion). But when I get removal service of gel, acrylic or dip powder, they drill off too much of my natural nail. I told them not to last time and they said that they need to (basically making excuses). It depends on the worker because when the younger guy did my nails he did a soak off to remove and it didn't damage my nail. But now my natural nails are ugly and my toe nails keep breaking. One of the worst experiences I've had in a LONG time. Terrible quality and service. I came in for a simple dip powder service with mani & pedi. Pedicure was rushed and tech barely attempted to remove callous even though I requested the 2nd most expensive pedicure service. Then when it came time to do my mani and powder dip, not only did the 1st nail tech NOT remove all my cuticle even though she charged me $10 extra for cuticle removal; a 2nd nail tech ended up taking over and realizing that the 1st nail tech did not properly remove the cuticle (and she couldn't paint the French tip like I asked either) and in the process of her trying to actually remove my cuticles she cut me twice on two separate fingers. The cuts were pretty bad because they kept bleeding for 20 minutes. The manager refused to partially refund my service even though they did not do cuticle removal and didn't paint the French tip like I requested. Both the manager and nail tech had little empathy for the fact that they physically hurt me and then over charged me for services they didn't fully render. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. The staff and management are rude and the quality is terrible. It's sad how much nail services have fallen in the Denver Metro Area. There aren't many exceptional nail salons or technicians considering how much the prices have increased, yet the quality has fallen dramatically. read more

Honestly, If I can give this place 0 stars I would. It's no where close to even getting one star. The level of disrespect is crazy. I will agree that walk in appointments are brutal,therefore, I understand the case of rushing; however take time to atleast take careful attention to detail of the care for your client. That's not what my nail tech did. She seemed a bit rushed. As she was cutting my toenails. She managed to cut my skin and it was bleeding. Sure, I didn't give it attention because I wasn't feeling the need to be "that" person to point out her mistakes, but until she asked me if I wanted to wax my eyebrows. She kept insisting for me to do it , of course its so she can earn money. I agreed to later then, however she then kept disrespecting me by saying that, "I need it" and that my eyebrows are, "too long." She never noticed until I pointed it out. She gave me a bald spot on my eyebrow!!!! She chuckled with her manager that was next to her at the cash register. She LAUGHED!!! Also her manager attempted to charge my mother extra $ for a inexistent pedicure. It was only one. NOT TWO! She didn't even know until I pointed it out. Horrible service. It's been a while since I've gotten nails put on. I walked in this morning for a full set because my fingers were literally bleeding from my awful biting habit. I had no wait, and received a full gel set from Vinh. He faced some pretty icky challenges from my damaged hands, and was very gentle and considerate. He did a fantastic job and I'm now poised to do some much needed healing. As always, I received a massage afterward and enjoyed charming conversation. Vinh made a note of my preferences for the future. They appear to have increased their staff. They were a bit busy but I was taken immediately. I noticed that the customers around me were all eager to express their satisfaction with the place - that's a telling thing. MK Salon is a real gem - you simply can't beat the prices and quality. They were all lumpy nails. The acrylic nails as placed very very sloppy all over my finger. They were extremely thick. Just overall terrible job. The man doing then cut my cuticles 3 times. When I asked for a refund they proceeded to tell me never to come back again along with clipping my nails and then refused to file them down and just left me with what you see in the picture. read more

Very disappointed after my visit today. Tried calling to make an appointment but no one would answer the phone so we decided to just walk in and wait a little. I waited over an hour and a half, I am very patient and saw they were pretty short staffed so I didn't mind. Finally they took me in and all I wanted was a rebase and French tip. I didn't remember the base color they used on me the previous time since it was not labeled, and the guy was very annoyed and tried to convince me to do something else. After a while of him struggling to find a similar color for my base, I suggested we could do a light pink chrome all over the nail. He then used an extremely dark nail color underneath and convinced me that it would match the chrome perfectly. It came out a lot darker than I wanted but at that point I had been there for two hours and had somewhere to be after. Overall the service was really rushed because they were busy, and I left with very lumpy nails, a darker pink than I wanted, and hairs under my polish. Very dissatisfied. read more

This was the worst place ever. I got a pedicure by Lisa (the owners sister) and she literally cut my whole toe off and now it's infected and throbbing. I asked Lisa to NOT use a specific tool because it was hurting too much. She continued to use that tool after I told her not too. My sister then told her not to use it because it was hurting me. She again, didn't listen and continued to dig at my toe AFTER I told her to leave it because it hurt too much. After that she became extremely rude and didn't rub my legs or feet. She painted my toes then left and had someone else paint my top coat. This was the worst place and Lisa is extremely rude. I will be contacting the better business bureau! To the owners response, i didn't touch my toe when I got home. Lisa kept digging and cut my toe. Just because she's the owners sister doesn't mean you need to cover up. I and my sister told her multiple times that it was hurting. I complained and nothing was done. Lisa started become rude. The nail polish has nothing to do with it. You cutting my toe and unsanitary utensils and tubs is what caused my infection. Once my toe started bleeding she told me to put my foot in the water and didn't put the green drop solution to make it stop bleeding. And no I WILL NOT take this review like you asked a family member. It is very unprofessional to have told my family member to ask ME to take this review down so it can help you! read more

I rarely write bad reviews but people need to be warned. This place is unapologetically nasty. I would not go here. I waited an hour to get eyelash extensions wearing a mask and I washed my hands when I came into the store at their direction. When the lady finally gets to me they tell me to go to the room, which I have no idea where I'm going never been here before I finally find the room one of the staff are laying down on the bed and gets up when I walk in. Cool long day I get it, I stand there waiting assuming they're going to put a new sheet down or something. The lady asks me to lay down and I'm like um no. I don't care if it's a staff or a client the massage table sheets should be cleaned or changed between people like how nasty is everything else if that's a common practice at this location. What if all 10 staff rested their today plus whatever clients got services or someone had lice, f'in so ewww. Why even bother with making people wash their hands or wear a mask if your store has nasty practices. Then the lady has the audacity to say we work overtime as if I'm being unreasonable and acts like it's ridiculous I'd politely ask for something clean to be put down. I know about overtime I'm a paramedic and we commonly sleep on the cots between 911 calls if we're posting working 24-48hour shifts. I have NEVER left my own sheet on the cot expecting a patient to lay on it because I don't know what's on my uniform anymore than I know what was on the last person's skin or clothes. It's just basic hygiene microbiology 101 and courteousness to change sheets between people. read more

I made an appointment to get my nails done and when I came in had to wait 30 minutes then was told I can't get a refill and needed to get a whole new full set when my nails were all still intact. I was told it was going to be $40 and I looked down and saw that it was a dip when I asked for gel and so I asked her to change it to gel which should have put it at $35. Then at the end they still charged me 40 and didn't explain to me why and refused to lower the price. Plus the whole time I was getting my nails done she was getting up and going to do other people's nails and I was basically just getting my nails done in her spare few seconds between tasks.
