There is a large waiting room space for parents/families of dancers. The bathrooms are consistently clean. And the atmosphere in general is exactly what any parent should look for in a dance studio for their children.

My husband and I had 0 experience (not good dancers!), but George helped us to make a nice spectacle out of our first dance. We ended up stunning our wedding guests with our fancy moves. Only me and one other student showed up, and the place smelled like a sweat-fest (those ballerinas before us must have been workin' it). Teacher was casual, a very talented choreographer, and hungry because she kept going to the side of the studio to eat her dinner in between instructions. I didn't sweat (again, I think my body was tricked by the studio's aroma into thinking it wasn't necessary) but I did feel challenged by the routine. Only about 1/3 of the class time was dedicated to dancing; the rest was warm up moves, funkywalking across the floor, stretching, and ab exercises. The music choices were contemporary which was a plus. I would have liked to learn a longer routine than three counts of 8, but its all good.

They were supposed to refund me for the last class and instead they come back asking for more money. They use the most ancient payment site out there and instead of doing the research on their end first DCU confidently emailed me saying that I had not paid the tuition. Somehow their inefficiency became my problem and I was required to provide evidence of payment along with a nonchalant statement in the email saying "If I did not respond on time then they could charge me $350" AGAIN. We decided to opt out of their recital and you still get charged for all the costume. Yet another way of getting money out of people. And the way they behaved is almost like looking down for not being part of the dance recital. I wonder what they made my daughter do in class if they were choreographing the dance with rest of the class. My daughter has delayed speech and the dance teacher made such a rude comment about a preschooler on the very last day of her class saying "oh your daughter does not follow directions while dancing". Since when did 4 year old start performing at Olympian level with a speech delay? Please do not believe this 5 star rating on YELP. Only 5 reviews and all 5 stars tells that they have removed other negative reviews and manipulated the reviews.

When confronted for breaching the agreement we were met with half-truths and innuendoes suggesting the teacher in question was "inappropriate" with the students. When pressed on this, and why parents were not notified if there was an actual issue, we were told "oh no, not in a sexual way." Total nonsensical garbage it turns out. It seems Kathy now remotely "runs" the business from Florida. Whatever once was good is apparently now gone. Avoid.

One is a beginner lesson and the second lesson is for intermediate students. On Wednesdays there is a salsa lesson. Once a month there is a party where you get to try out the routines learned during the months. Dancers show up to the party that have been dancing at the studio for a long time. It is an environment where you see familiar faces. Highly recommend this studio for ballroom dancing and salsa.
