A cappuccino for my partner and a Turkish coffee, medium sweet, for me. We had that every morning and by the fourth day didn't need to order as the waiters already knew. The evenings were a totally different proposition. Years back we always had cocktails upstairs before dinner. So we thought we would give it a try. The main floor is set out for meals in the evening but, thoughtfully, the bar area has seating and standing areas for just drinks. Unfortunately the drinks aren't very good now. My vodka martini full of crushed ice watering it down. We went once but won't go again. Thank goodness for The Jade Bar. It has taken over.

The Secret Garden is exactly described. Comfy area for a pre-dinner drink even though it took a little training for them to understand vodka on ice, vodka on the rocks. The Turks have a wonderful ability of remembering faces, people, orders etc etc. Meals, in this restaurant are taken under the shade of various plants which make a wonderful foliage ceiling. Food is traditional Turkish cuisine. That makes a nice change from Turkish cuisine moulded to our tastes. Service is very friendly but professional. Wines are reasonably priced and we really loved Turkish wine. Can't get it at home. For the children, animals run around the floor. Chickens, rabbits, tortoise........a fun place. So, people, if you want a break, hunt out The Secret Garden and give them our regards. You will not be disappointed.

Baba Dondurma is located close to the city center of Fethiye. It is family owned and operated by a…read morehusband and wife. All of the dondurma is made upstairs with handpicked locally made products. I visited Baba Dondurma after a local highly recommended the shop. Entrance of the shop boasts a selection of about 12 different dondurma flavours. Each flavour is specially made weekly. The inside of the shop is filled with smells of cinnamon. You can find the wife making homemade cones. There are a few tables so you can enjoy your dessert while sitting. The flavours are absolutely incredible. During my visit, I tried the melon, banana, and cherry. The owner also brought me fresh coffee dondurma to try- and honestly, it was fantastic. I met with the owner personally and he said that he hand picks all of the ingredients. This is what makes the dondurma so delicious! Overall, if you're in Fethiye, you need to come here. This is the best dondurma in Fethiye and perhaps in all of Turkey. Try the coffee flavour!

Just view it before entering, it is on the outside in the icebox. Never hurried which is unusual for the Olu strip, the table could have been ours for the night. Nothing worse than not being able to enjoy the flavours and then a break between courses. Gives time to go back a few decades and talk to each other. Something that had been lost with mobile phones. This restaurant is quiet, even though it is on the main 'drag'. Love the place and, if you like seafood, don't walk past, give it a go.
