But the difference here is the kindness, warmth, and dedication of the pharmacy staff at this Walgreens location. I was unexpectedly in SoBe for a few days due to weather-related flight delays and had run out of my prescription meds. My doctor called in my prescriptions, but some info was missing. The Walgreens pharmacist, Dr. Jorge, went above and beyond to help me troubleshoot - both in person and on the phone, calling my doctor's office multiple times, and filling the prescriptions 10 mins before the pharmacy closed last night, before I fly home today. Dr. Jorge did this while triaging a crush of other incoming customer requests. He took a personal interest in helping me, and I deeply appreciate his dedication. In addition, this Walgreens pharmacy is so busy that it feels almost like an ER. Yet as I stood in line, I watched the pharmacy technician greet each customer with warmth, listen carefully to concerns, and efficiently resolve issues. I was very impressed with her ability to stay even-keel and exude positive energy in the midst of such a busy practice. Highly recommend.

They do not sell alcohol though, you have to get that somewhere else. I will say that they have tourist prices. I paid almost $15 for 5 drinks. The prices were not listed on any of the items that I purchased, which I found odd. Anyway, this store served it purpose and I got everything that I was looking for, to hold me until I got to another store the following day. They do take credit/debit cards here and there is an ATM inside as well. This place is a decent spot to get some quick snack items and drinks for those staying in a nearby hotel. It benefits from being the only shop of its kind in the immediate area and in walking distance. I am not sure how this convenience store would fare against any competition, but as it stands now, it is just convenient for those nearby and do not have a vehicle.

The prices weren't too bad, considering the unique selection of snacks and drinks. This would be a good place to stop for goodies for a beach day. First a visit for sunglasses. There are any number of shops on Collins where you can buy sunglasses but I found my favorite pair here for a cool $20. I also picked up some mouthwash and antacid. Then, after trying to read a book at the beach, I realized that with my new contact prescription I needed my first pair of reading glasses (RIP my youth) so I stopped back in to check out their selection. Not bad! I got a cute pair of Foster Grants. After a day at the beach I got a little pink and needed some aloe. Popped back in for that. Each time I browsed a bit. Picked up some make up during my aloe trip, as well, thanks to their dedicated beauty area. The shop itself is a bit dingy, though the products are in good shape. It's also huge! With a bit of grab and go food available alongside snacks and even some booze. Also it's 24 hours which is a bonus! I definitely could have found most of the things I picked up cheaper if I had remembered to grab them before getting to my hotel but alas, my memory did not cooperate. So I had to take the L and the tourist upcharge. But luckily I got everything I needed!

They have luggage, groceries, produce, clothing, hats, and so much more. They know their market and audience and cater to them. The checkout lines moved smoothly, the cashier was friendly, and I was able to redeem some Walgreens cash I had for my small chips and toy purchase.
