My company is old school. We still like to use paper for everything. Screw trees, right? Only problem, we don't like to pay for the hassle of traveling with a copy guy and all his equipment when we have meetings. Read: can't afford it. Normally we're stuck with the business centers in our hotels. Have you ever had a good experience in a hotel business center? No, you haven't. And your pants are lit if you said you have, Basically, we start our meeting off on a miserable foot; angry with the hotel, angry at our ourselves, and slaving away until the wee hours of the morning to get everything printed and done. Not cool. This time around, we found an actual copy store, who knew what in the Sam Hell they were doing, and could take care of every print job we brought them. Even better, they're just a few blocks from all the downtown conference hotels. They're from Australia, so they're automatically awesome, but they also work incredibly fast and have fantastic prices. During one of my visits, I got to see one of their projects for a local restaurant- neon plastic-cut skulls for coasters! They were insane, and I loved them so much I even got to keep one. Talk about service! Every other day I was bringing them more nonsense that I needed 20 minutes ago, and I was able to get what I needed super fast, and even my weird pocket brochures were folded by one of their machines. Time AND manicure saver. No manual labor for this lady! I'm not kidding when I said I stopped by seven times. Occasionally it was just to hang out. Richard and Lisa are the best, but the real star of the KopiKats show is Trudy. Trudy is the official office mascot, and the unofficial best doggie in Miami. Also fresh off the plane from the Land Down Unda', Trudy is a chill, cuddly shepard-mix, who greets all her customers and then gives the lean, if you're invited into the circle. I'm in the circle, she leaned into my legs. Success was achieved in Miami. Oh, the conference was fine, too. But Trudy, my therapy dog for the week, is the best! We found Sir Speedy on Google. It was the closest printing company to our office and since we…read moreneeded to have brochures made we thought we would try them out. We design our own brochures so we made a pdf file, copied it to a CD, took it to three different printing companies and asked them to print a sample proof. The first company's proof was so bad and blurry, it was difficult to read the text. The second company's colors were so faded, all the photos looked gray. Both of them blamed it on our file. Then we took the same CD to Sir Speedy. We met with Dolores Torres, the Manager, and Richard Moffat, the Owner. They were extremely friendly and very professional. They were more than happy to print a proof for us and it looked amazing. The colors were perfect, the print was clear, and they used 100# paper (the other companies apparently had used 80#). We ordered 500 brochures on a Wednesday and were told we could pick them up on Friday. The next day at 10:00 AM I received a call from Richard telling me they were ready. We got them and believe it or not the actual brochures were even better than the proof. If you are in Downtown Miami or Brickell, this is the printing office to go to, and even if you are not, it will be worth the drive. We could not be happier, from now on we will fill all of our printing needs with Sir Speedy.
