It's a quirky little place that has a one-alley drive-through and a walk-up window and no dine-in. Why did I say alley? Because it looks like a one-alley oil lube place. So much so that to this day, folks drive through and ask how much is an oil change even though all they have is great food and a few sundries! I think it's partly related to their name! So how did they reinvent themselves? Up until about two years ago they were famous for selling case beer. You would pop your trunk and a guy would drop the case right in. You never had to get out of your car. For some reason they quit selling beer to focus on other things. Up until about a year ago they had great food but no fries and this was a major complaint they had to deal with. They fixed this and now they have huge portions of wonderful, glorious skin-on fries! So now you come here for fantastic breakfast sandwiches, great burgers, pulled pork sandwiches and fries. Of course, drinks. On my last visit I ordered a cheeseburger and fries @ $8.87. I'm embarrassed by the picture as there was a huge, juicy, hand-formed burger under there! There were even more fries, but I scoffed some down on the way home! So, you can blow through here for breakfast or lunch and have a great sandwich and patronize a local business at the same time! It doesn't get much better than that!

Folks kept telling me about the amazing Chorizo Breakfast Burrito, so I finally stopped in the morning to give it a go. This is that story. Arriving- It's on US Route 27 South and you can't miss it as the restaurant name is emblazoned on the canopy. See my picture. Parking is easy and if you have the need there are two handicapped spaces around the back near a second entrance. Ambience- The convenience store/restaurant is in the back and kind of combined. There are acres of cooler doors with every drink you can imagine including beer & wine. Just grab what you want to drink with your meal. Don't worry, you pay when you're finished. There is a bright and spotless dining area with a bunch of tables & booths. See my picture. Pro Tip- I'm a gringo and if you are also, you will be in the minority. Don't panic, you'll be made to feel very welcome! Food- This is an order at the window kind of place. There are some menus on the wall but not everything is included. Just ask. So, I asked for the famous Chorizo Breakfast Burrito- "Small or large? Small please." "Would you also like Beef & Cheese? Hell yes!" "Here or to-go? Here please." "What color sauce? Red please." Less than five minutes later it was ready and plated beautifully. Not too shabby for a gas station! Pro Tip- They make their own tortillas year daily! OMG I was in love! It was piping hot, and the aroma was incredible. It was very dense in a good way. This was the small and it was very filling. The chorizo was wonderful and spicy so expect that. I could also taste the melted cheese. It was one hell of a breakfast. The large size would have been too big for a morning meal for me. It was $5.99 and I'd added a Starbucks drink out of the cooler. But wait, this is a gas station review! Read on. Walmart is in bed with Murphy's. You can see them in front of hundreds of Walmart's. How do you take advantage of this? Double-Dip #1- Assuming you patronize Walmart, buy yourself a membership. It will cost you less than $100 and comes with tons of perks including gas discounts at Murphy's. How do you get the $? You tell the gas pump you are Walmart member by scanning a QRC code or punching in a code available on the Walmart app. See my picture. Double-Dip 2- Walmart is also in bed with Capital One. Get yourself a Walmart credit card. It has no fee. Pay for your gas with this card. So how much can you get Steven B? Depending on the deals going on I get at least 10 cents a gallon and sometimes up to 15! This can really add up over a year to some serous $$! Note, I believe the amounts might vary by state. The gas station itself is top notch. Up-to-date pumps and often the best price intown. The convenience store is spotless. I'm changing my rating from 4 to 5 stars!

I am very disappointed with the way Walgreens handled my father's prescription. Despite state law…read morein Florida allowing a licensed doctor to prescribe medication regardless of where in the state the patient is located, Walgreens refused to fill his prescription. The reason given had nothing to do with medical safety or legality, but rather personal feelings. A pharmacy's role is to follow the law and ensure patients have access to their prescribed medications, not to let personal biases or emotions get in the way of patient care. This situation caused unnecessary stress and delay in my father receiving the medication he needs. Patients should be able to trust that their prescriptions will be filled as written by their doctors, especially when state law is clear on the matter. Walgreens needs to remember that pharmacy services are about patient health first, not personal disagreements.

This fine location is my closest for now, but they are building a new one in my teeny tiny town as I type this. Arriving- Directly on US Rout 27 North so easy peasy. As with most Wawa's it's very busy so slow down and be careful when you park. While you're there, take advantage of their two free air machines for your tires. They're famous for that! When you park, take notice that many close-in spaces are numbered. Ambience- Boatloads of gas pumps with good prices. Not always the best gas price but close and the great food makes up for it. Inside it is bright and cheery and clean. It's 99% take-out so don't plan on sitting inside. The App- I think it's great and I especially like Curbside Pickup! I like it so much that I rarely go inside anymore! Just park in a clearly numbered spot! Customer Service- I'm usually doing Curbside Pickup so it's just one delivery person. They are almost always on time and often a little ahead of the time specified in the app. I have never had an incorrect order. The delivery person is always friendly so five stars. Food- So, every kind of drink you can imagine, and an amazing choice of sandwiches along with pizza. Today I ordered a Classic Roast beef Sub with extra beef and an Iced Coffee which set me back at about $14. The choices available for your sub are more than in most places. I love that they have sweet peppers! It was cheerfully brought out to my car in about 12 minutes. It's delivered in a nice, reusable bag. As you can see from my pic this was a solid sub.
