Arriving- They are directly on Main Street in teeny tiny Avon Park so they're easy to find. Mostly street parking here. Ambience- Lots and lots of stuff that's kind of sort off arranged by type. For example, custom sounds systems are in the same area. It can seem a little cluttered but it's clean and decently merchandised. Customer Service- I've never had a problem. There's a bunch of stuff that's fairly technical. So, if the person you're talking to doesn't have the knowledge, they'll quickly get the person who does. Products- I call the Toy Store Level #1. All the little stuff you seem to need like trash containers, sun blockers, seat covers etc. On my last visit I purchased a perfect, cushioned, steering wheel cover! See my pic. Level #2- Customized sound systems. Folks into that stuff will drool here with professional installation readily available. Level #3- Pickup truck customization. Everything your heart desires and more. Level #4- Tires and general maintenance. Catalog- Plug in the make, model and year of your wheels into their website for a targeted search to meet your needs. Read on- Arriving- They are directly on the Northbound side of US Route 27 and a snap to find. There is a more than adequate private parking lot with two entrances and excellent handicapped parking. What more could you ask for! Ambience- Spotless, well lit, and beautifully organized! The App- It' solid and the usual deal. Sign up for notifications of deals etc. Product- The stuff in retail packaging is, as typical, serve-yourself. I don't come in often enough to learn the store, so I just ask where something is located. It's never a problem. Of course, they have a large stockroom where they have thousands of parts that are not in retail packaging. Customer Service- I'm always just blown away with how good they are! I needed some new windshield wipers. I gave the very nice lady the make and model of my car. She pulled up many choices on the computer screen. I chose Rain-X, and she retrieved them for me. I asked if she would put them on for me and received a smile and a quick "Of course!" She placed a towel on the hood of my car to protect it as she laid down the old wiper blades. Just wow! I was in and out in 10 minutes with a smile on my face! Conclusion- I was the 1st to review these fine folks 9 years ago and have since visited many times. It is spotless and well organized. Customer Service- I received a friendly greeting by the young employee who was the epitome of customer service. I couldn't have asked for more. Performance- I needed two items and they were found in a minute or so. The price was competitive, so I cashed out and I was out the door. - 10 Star Steller service! -…read more Sooo, I'm in my MickyD's parking lot sipping on my 99-cent breakfast Iced Coffee and my car battery died! As this is a PG rated review, "Oh crap!" I needed a new battery. Customer Service- I called these fine folks, and a very nice employee told me that the owner Matt would be there to help me within 15 minutes! That's right, the owner of a business that's been in operation since 1958 was coming to help! He showed up in less than 15 minutes, jumped my car within seconds, and explained where and how to park my car at his place. Very efficient staff checked me in and took my keys. Ambience- I plunked myself down in a comfortable chair and noticed the very nice couch and flat-screen tv. Within minutes Matt came out and quoted a fair price and said it would be done quickly. Rest Rooms- At one point I headed for the restrooms and laughed out loud and the sign on each door! See my picture. Now I know why the men's room was eat-off-the-floor spotless! I didn't check the lady's room as I didn't want to deal with the screaming that would ensue! Wait Time- In less than 45 minutes my name was called, and I was out the door. That is nothing less than spectacular! My tire pressure light had lit up recently and I noticed that they took care of it without asking. Nice! Walked in with one gentleman at the counter and 3 people behind the counter. Stood there for a couple minutes and the lady asked if I had an appointment, I said no I was hoping to make one and she turned away and went to her computer. I was taken back. Customer sneezed and everyone said bless you and I said "sorry, I don't have the credentials." (Got a laugh from everyone) Stood there another 5 minutes after the only other customer went to sit down. Then I went and sat down. More people came in and I started openly asking who their best competitor is as I've been here for 15 minutes and haven't been helped. Scared me that no one had any recommendations. Then lo and behold I was pointed at and called on. Felt like the price is right and ran to the counter. Asked them who their competitors were as I'm not sure I have confidence that this is the right place for me. They all looked and the lady looked at me and said I didn't know you needed to make an appointment and I said yeah. When you asked I said "no I don't have one but would like to make one" and you walked away. Great costumer service. She was apologetic. But the first impression and confirmation from what my buddy experienced was done. I chose a tire and set up an appointment for an alignment and rotate of tires. But I'm scared if their workmanship is twice as good as their front office staff I would be lucky to have 30% of the lug nuts even on the vehicle when I pick it up. What would you do? I really want to use a local small business. But wow, just wow. I expect this kind of treatment from Firestone or discount tire. Not a locally owned business. Ambience- This is an older building, but they keep it in nice condition. The waiting area is better than most with plenty of coffee and bottled water. A nice flat screen. The men's restroom is spotless. I can't tell you about the woman's restroom as I wanted to avoid all the yelling and screaming that would ensue! Pro Tip- There is decent password protected Wi-Fi and also a Xfinity Hot Spot. Outlets for a charger are a little tricky. Customer Service- Everyone that touched me was universally pleasant and courteous. There was a little confusion between my car and another and I received multiple genuine apologies and a nice discount on my bill. They are very popular and with that comes they are extremely busy. When you go here it will help if you think of it as two places. A tire shop and a mechanics shop. They sell a ton of tires and move customers in and out with efficiency. While I was there, tire customers were waiting about 45 minutes for their turn in a bay. If you need a mechanic as I did, make an appointment. If needed, they will accommodate you with a ride home or even to a local watering hole! The Work- Always top notch for me. I have a ton of friends that swear by them! Their pricing always seems to be fair. In this town they are the first stop for many folks if you need tires or a mechanic. Conclusion- If you need tires, they are a solid choice. They are also great if you need a mechanic, but you may need to wait a bit as they are a victim of their own success!
