Captain Lee Robinson is completely unreliable. We booked a charter with him two weeks in advance and he stood us up. The charter was confirmed via phone and texts multiple times. He sent Venmo and PayPal links to pay him in advance. We showed up on pier and he did not show. He would not answer phone or texts. Captain Lee Robinson is un reliable, don't book with him. I should have read reviews in advance as it shows he had done the same thing to other people. Can't trust him, to many other trusting people in the area. read more

We are staying at the Grand and we had a time set with captain Lee. We were planning on meeting at 1:30 and he sent a pin for the middle of the bay. When we asked him where we were supposed to meet 2 hours in advance we didn't get a response. Called 4 times with no success. We drove 40 minutes to meet him somewhere that we didn't know. Once we got there he texted and the time we were supposed to launch and said he would be able to make it. Don't charter with pathetic pos. He will take your money and ghost your money. read more

We scheduled our charter with Captain Lee 2 weeks in advance. Before our trip, he was very communicative with my father about the trip details. Even going as far as discussing smoking a cigar with my father during our expedition-- of course my father bought Kuba XL cigars for them to enjoy. We were excited because he seemed to be thorough and careful about making the trip memorable for us. An hour prior our meeting time, he sent a text message telling us that his boat battery had died and if we had another date that worked for us. We responded with, "no, we are leaving tomorrow." That was it. When we called him three times, there was no answer. We drove 40 minutes to meet him at Weeks Bay Reserve. We waited another 40 minutes to give him a chance to show up before we left. There was no call, no text, nothing... he took our deposit and ghosted us. We were looking forward to making a special memory with our family and Captain Lee ruined this experience for us. I would think twice before using his service. Not calling and not showing up for a family that paid a deposit for your service is beyond poor customer service-- it is fraudulent and thievish. Bear in mind I'm a first time fisherman, so will just say we had a blast, learned a lot. And I didn't even want to go (4 hours in an open boat, no shade, no bathroom? Ha!) I really appreciated Captain Lee's patience, knowledge of the Mobile Bay area, and fish chasing skills. read more

I made a reservation to take my husband fishing with Mobile Bay Charters as a surprise while we were on vacation. CPT Lee Robinson and I agreed to meet on Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. at Weeks Bay. We had to drive an hour from Grand Bay to get there on time so we got up at 5:15 and hit the road at 5:40. At 6:45 I got a text asking if we could push it back to 9- we were at the slip! Robinson said he couldn't get bait until 8:30 unless he went down to Gulf Shores. We agreed to wait on him to get bait. At 9 I called and texted him to see where he was. No answer. At 9:30 after watching about 6 other boats head out we left. A complete waste of a morning! Don't use this guy! I wish I had read the other reviews before booking with him. read more
