I recently bought a used hard case that had a lock but no keys. I wanted to be able to lock it so I went to Gifford's. They made two keys to fit it the same day I brought it in (in less than 4 hours technically.) It cost under $12. They offer a wide variety of services including mobile locksmith stuff. Their Lyman Street location has a wide variety products like safes and door handles and such. If it locks I'm sure they sell or work on it.

And lost one of my two keys. Turns out that the manufacturer has moved on to other key designs, and finding a locksmith that carried the brand and had the older blanks available was not so easy. I left messages with a few places that were listed as authorized dealers on the manufacturer's website, including Rich's Keys & Locks. I got a pretty quick call back from Wes, a man who seems to both know and care about helping people out who get themselves into a variety of jams. Wes was not only helpful and considerate, but after determining that he didn't have the older blanks in stock either, ordered inventory from the manufacturer. I ended up with three new copies, but he ordered 10 blanks, which when I stopped to think about it is probably the minimum reorder quantity. But I had to guess about that, because he didn't offer an explanation as to why he had ordered the suspiciously round number of 10, nor did he ask for more than the usual per copy price to cover his extra cost for items he is not likely to run into demand for anytime soon, if ever. So I'm not sure he broke even on the transaction. The point being, he's a mensch, who approaches his work prioritizing solving people's problems with unspoken honor, over maximizing his own advantage in pursuit of profit above all else. Wherever I encounter that, I'm a customer for life because you can't buy integrity. It has to already be there.

Joe installed a custom built lockset in a custom built door and did a great job. He showed up on…read moretime and worked diligently and professionally. There was nothing cookie-cutter about this job as the door is a custom reconstruction in a 140 year old fire station and the lockset is also a custom job built by a blacksmith. The job understandably took a little longer than estimated and the total was reasonably and fairly adjusted for the extra time and work. Now the door functions better than before there was a lockset in it, so I could not be happier with Joe's work. I almost wish I had more doors that needed his excellent work!

I was told No! we only use our Honda key. I called Holyoke Lock Company and they said that I could get my own key and if it matched they would cut it and program it for me for $80. I bought a key on Amazon for $18 and today I went to Holyoke Lock and they cut and programmed it for $80. I would recommend them to everyone. The service was beyond great. Family run business and showed compassion to me over the stress I had gone through over losing this key. You know what Curry can do with their key!
