SCARY!!!! They close earlier than 5pm. I went there around 4:45pm yesterday and it was my first time. I saw 3 guys talking inside the fence and there were small openings to the fence. So I unloaded all of my bags, and walked in thinking that they work there. I said hi and they said hi back but they don't seem like they are going to help me so I asked if this was the recycling center. One of the guys said they are closed and he walked towards to me. As he got closer, I figured he is under influence of drugs or alcohol very heavily. He could barely talk... He kept rambling about something and asked me what day of the week it was. I believe homeless people just sit there and drink there after they close.... or maybe they are workers there. I don't know. I went back today during the day and they were open. I didn't see tge guys I saw yesterday. The guy was not very friendly like everyone said. He kept talking to another worker in Spanish while calculating my bottles. If you go tgere, go there early. Not so close to the closing time. It's not ver safe especially for girls. Not to mention that it is behind the liqur store and not facing big street. If something happen, it can't be seen from the street. read more

Found an alternative on the parking lot behind Lucky 7 liquor store on the corner of Vanowen and Aura Ave. I can't find any info about these guys online but there are there consistently on weekdays before 5pm. read more

Great recycling place. It's cleanish as far as recycling centers go, parking is easy access to the sorting area. You can either bring your bags to the open sorting area or bring the baskets to your car. The scale is at an angle so you can see the weight. The employee says all the calculations aloud so you understand the amount of money you'll get for the weight of recyclables. I would definitely recommend this recycling place. One thing, It's a little hidden, and is located in the back area of the Thai restaurant off of Roscoe. You can also enter through the back entrance off the residential street. read more

Your typical recycling center, except that the employees are helpful and friendly and without the awful odor that comes with it. Not to mention you get a very fair amount of money for your recycling. We did have to wait in line, but it moves very quickly. Definitely a good recycling center. read more

This center was really clean. The worker was friendly to me although he spoke in a less than professional way with his family member who works with him I guess. Man these guys closed on me at 4:45 NEVER again will I ever go to this place and don't go to the Stop N Go recycling either. They did the same exact thing. the guy there was friendly and helpful. explained to me how, if you have A LOT of bottles to recycle, you need to separate the clear bottles from the brown, and those from the blue/green. also, beer bottles w/CRV are separated from the hard liquor bottles that are non-CRV. there was no wait when i was there wed. afternoon. read more

This establishment states it is open 7 days a week; this was my first time going there. Online said it would close at 3:00pm on New Years EVE, but it closed 2:00pm instead. I'm okay with that, but their neighbor suggested I telephone them. Well, guess what, the posted sign at the site had the WRONG number on the post, and the online site ALSO had the wrong number. We used to recycle at the replanets at Ralph's which were hit or miss but gave the most money back. Now that they are gone we stumbled upon this recycling behind a strip mall. Super easy and fast. Just separate your items in the bins and they weigh and give you cash on the spot. read more
