Pulled up and was immediately greeted by a friendly worker. 2 questions: What are you dropping off? From what address did the items come? Then a 'thank you! Please proceed.' I laughed and said, 'I'm a first timer, where/how do I proceed?' 'Oh! My bad! Again, welcome! You will drive around the horseshoe and workers will direct you to the front. You'll put the car in Park and turn the engine off. Remain in your vehicle. Open the back of your vehicle and workers will remove the items. When they are done, they will let you know to close the back, start the car, and proceed safely out the facility. Thank you and have a nice day!' The hard drives already removed and I finally loaded them in my car and took them to the E-Waste LA. The location is on the corner and you turn into a little alleyway and park. I put my hazards just in case and I walked into the little area where the shop is. I didn't see anyone but the Ring loudly said "hi you are being recorded" and that's when the kind owner came out. I told him what I had and he brought a trolley to my trunk and helped me unload. He sad thank you and then he took them. I didn't have any charge for leaving them. I know if I had hard drives in the computers he would have been able to destroy them in front of me for a small fee each. I read other people's reviews that they were charged for some things they dropped off, I'm not sure what would warrant a fee. At the shop i saw all kinds of things like old tvs laying there. It's nice knowing that this stuff can avoid the landfill and hopefully they can recycle the parts or dispose of them safely.
