What a wonderful company! Wind damage to my shutter brought them to my attention and called them…read moreimmediately. They responded quickly and was at my house within an hour. Charlie climbed up to my shutter and repaired it with new hardware to ensure an excellent repair. He even checked my other shutters to see if they were secure and not damaged. He was so thorough and informative! The repair bill was very reasonable and i will not hesitate to call them again. Their business information is locked in my phone permanently. Thank you so much!

PART 2 of Review He…read morestated that he was ready to get this job done and that it should be completed within the next 24-36 hours. On Monday, (Day 9) Charlie, sent pictures of the painted wall and stated that painting was completed. The walls were WHITE! Not the Gray that we gave him to paint the walls with. We asked if you saw that the paint was Gray, why would you paint white over the gray??/ and not call us to tell us that you needed more paint? He stated that he made an EXECUTIVE DECISION to paint everything white. (How do you make an executive decision to change the color of paint on a job without the consent of the client??? According to the tenant Charlie painted the walls white from the jump and never used the Gray paint. So he kept our paint and used his cheap paint to paint the kitchen which is why it took four coats of paint) Charlie used the wrong type of caulking on the drywall, he stated that he glued the drywall and then used nails. He didn't sand the drywall down correctly, the walls look better than they did, but you can tell that there are imperfections. His response was "The walls are painted now. If I knew that it was two colors, that would have been an extra $100. He proceeded to tell us that the majority of rentals have all white kitchens" That's not what we requested or asked him to do. Plus the paint was LABELED GRAY for Walls and WHITE for Trim. He did what he wanted to do (Executive decision) On Tuesday (Day 10) Charlie sent pictures of the floor, ceiling and walls. He was ready for the cabinets now. We took two of the 4-5 cabinets over to the rental and was going to bring the rest around 1pm on Wednesday. He stated that he preferred to have them a little earlier so that he could finish up because he had a Church event on Wednesday. We asked him if he could pick up the cabinets, because our brother would not be able to bring them until after he got off of work. He said he would pick them up around 11am (he agreed) He stated again that he normally charges 10% for travel and picking up materials. On Wednesday (Day 11) We texted Charlie and asked if he was picking up the cabinets today. He stated that he couldn't get his gate on his truck to open so that he could empty out his truck to make room for the cabinets. By this time it was 4pm, so we said we could have our brother bring the cabinets after he got off of work, which he did. Charle didn't do any work in the kitchen that day. On Thursday (Day 12) We texted Charlie and asked if he was going to be working on the kitchen today and that we had brought the remaining materials over to the rental so that he could finish the job. He asked if we had caulk as well, we stated we could bring some caulk later in the day or he could pick some up and we would reimburse him. Later, in the day Charlie texted that he had burnt through 4 tubes of caulk and spent $51 on screws and not to mention the many trips that he made to pick up materials and to the family house. I called him personally and asked him to clarify his previous text message because things can get lost in translation via text. We paid Charlie, according to the contract, we were understanding of his family commitments, trips, early departures from working on the kitchen, late arrivals to start working on the kitchen, only working 2 or 3 hours here or there in the kitchen. So, I asked him, haven't we been reimbursing you accordingly? And that he kept bringing up the 10% travel and picking up materials. He only made 3 trips to the family house, twice - to get payment & sign the contract, payment & pick up paint and the third was to get the measurements of the cabinets even though my sister sent him the diagram/ dimensions via text. I stated that we were not in breach of the contract and that I'm not understanding why he keeps bringing up the 10% travel. He said we cut that out of the contract when we countered his offer. I replied, I'm trying to get an understanding and that if you accepted the counter offer, that means that everything you had in the contract stands. You didn't specify that travel to pick up materials was not included at the signing of the contract, now you are trying to add that in. He responded that he was ready to let this project go, because working with me, my sister and brother has been challenging because we haven't been responsive (which is a lie) . I have text messages to prove it. He also stated that he doesn't argue with his clients. I was not arguing with him, I was trying to get an understanding and I feel as though, because I am a women of color he perceive me simply trying to get an understanding that I was arguing ( micro-aggression) Not to mention in one text he referred to my sister and I as "Gals" another ( micro-aggression) As I try to explain myself and line of questioning. I asked him several times if he could just finish the job and that we would reimburse him accordingly, Charlie proceeded to talk over me and ignore me as I was
