Besides the beautiful location (overlooking the first tee), the place is immaculate, the food is wonderful, and the owners (a husband and wife team) are just charming! The drive is about 15 minutes due south of Lancaster and we have enjoyed numerous breakfasts at this lovely locale. It never disappoints and would be well worth your time to pay them a visit! The most expensive item on the breakfast menu is only about $7 and with a pot of hot coffee, left at your table, you'll quickly be savoring the food and the view. So, whether you're dining inside, or on the patio... give Tanglewood a try. You'll be happy you did!

The Gil Hanse designed course played much more difficult than the course rating. The hilly terrain yields many blind tees shots and obstructed shots to the greens. There was much movement on the greens-some of it not quite fair. Hanse developed this course after Inniscrone in southern chester county. That course was a controversial layout and Hanse surprisingly repeated some of the same (mistakes) here. Overall, a must play course that will have you shaking your head.

The staff upon arrival quickly meets you at the bag drop or if you're like me, missed that sign and they ran out to me at my truck. The clubhouse looks french country which makes sense, and the high ceilings of the men's locker room are incredible. The pro shop is stocked with premium brands and even Johnnie O gear which is cool! The course was playing a lot longer for us that day since it had rained a ton the day earlier but the conditions were superb. Tees, fairways and bunkers especially were spectacular. The rough was rough and when I got way off line it got rougher but that's expected based upon where I was! Greens are immaculate. I will say that the practice green on our day was quicker than the course greens, so that took a hole to get used to. Playing the tips left us with some serious challenges out there. Don't let the card yardage of just shy of 6600 fool you, it plays closer to 6900 because of the uphill plays to many greens. Also, if you don't score wel your first time, it's because of the greens, they take a little knowledge that none of the guys in my group had but thankfully we had a caddy to really help guide us! We're all long hitters in our group and he adjusted for our distance admirably once he saw it fly, I think our caddy was an asset to our enjoyment of the day! So why not the 5 stars you're wondering? Well, once we were all finished it's time for drinks on the fabulous outside deck overlooking 18 green, and our bartender seemed seriously disinterested in our party of 8. I ordered a pulled pork which was very good and very fresh but was more of an italian beef style with peppers and onions and spinach, I think it was spinach, I didn't read the menu unfortunately but was told that this was a quick sandwich. The views were great, the course was fabulous, the outside services was fantastic, but the last interaction we had was with a seemingly grumpy bartender and that tarnishes an otherwise special day.

We banned ourselves…read more After playing an ok 9 hole round we were approached by the "pro shop" kid. He asked us "which one of you told our course bounty Hunter" or whatever his bogus title is "to go F himself?" We're like, "what?" The bounty Hunter approached us twice on the course, once to ask how many holes we were playing bc we started late and if we saw a blue cell phone. We told the power hungry boy that we wanted the bounty Hunter to come and confront us bc we were wrongfully accused and he said we were banned from ever coming back. After waiting 5-10 min we decided to say screw this and go inside to see where the Hunter was. The boy said he should be back soon and I said we weren't waiting and that were never coming back again. He said that the Hunter may have written down the wrong cart number but now I say they CAN go F themselves. Never returning.

The course itself is relatively easy, but can offer challenges to golfers of all skill levels. 10/10. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

We checked out Tiny Tee's Village at Village Greens Mini Golf today, and it was such a cute…read moreexperience for little kids. All of us got in for $22.50 total, which was an amazing price. Each child was $7.50, and I didn't have to pay. There's also a local discount, which was a nice bonus if your local (Central PA) . The best part is that your kids get wristbands for all-day access, so you can leave and come back later. The wristbands were convenient, but not every kid loves wearing them. One of mine tried to pull theirs off, so that's something to keep in mind. The entire village is set on turf, which made it feel clean and easy for kids to run around. There are around 10 little houses, all filled with fun, imaginative play setups. Things do get a little mixed around from kid to kid, but it didn't take away from the experience at all. There isn't much shade, and on a hot day it definitely makes a difference. We stayed for about an hour, from around 11 to 12, and that heat was the main reason we left. Food and drinks aren't allowed inside the village for kids, but parents can walk around with coffee, which is a plus. There is a food and drink stand on-site if you want to grab something. The setup overall is super convenient. Bathrooms are right there, and you pay at the main mini golf area when you arrive. There are also extra outdoor games included, like giant checkers and tic-tac-toe, which added even more value without extra cost. Parking is easy with angled spots, and when we went it wasn't crowded at all. The location is also perfect if you're already exploring nearby spots like Choo Choo Barn, Strasburg Rail Road, or Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. Everything is within about 10 minutes. There were a few bees and wasps around, which is expected for an outdoor space. It wasn't overwhelming, and it didn't interfere with play. This would be a great spot for playdates or casual meetups. The price is hard to beat, and it's an easy, fun outing for younger kids. I'd definitely go back, just aiming for a cooler day next time.

The golf course is gorgeous. It's like playing mini golf in a forest which is awesome. There are…read moreholes that are surrounded by water so when you hit it, it has a big chance of going in the water. That wouldn't be such a problem if the bins that are at like every other hole that say "extra balls" don't have any golf balls them. I know it's a popular spot but I wish they had a little more management on the capacity to make it so that you don't have to wait literally 10-15 mins between every other hole. Other than that, great spot unlike most courses.
