Went here on day 8 of a 10 day sightseeing road trip. Perfect timing. 6 pools of different temperatures. We circulated all pools for maximum benefit for 2 hours. Clean and soothing atmosphere. People are quiet so really calming vibe

A hidden gem! After 2/12 weeks in a camper this was perfect. We each got a massage too, so got unlimited soak time. A 3 hour soak is only $29! A variety of pools at different temps. Very beautiful space with attentive staff nestled in a lovely corner of Hot Springs, SD. Worth a drive from wherever you are visiting in southwestern South Dakota.

I'm not kidding when I tell you the entire reason I wanted to spend the summer in Hot Springs, SD was for THIS place! And yes, they know my name as I'm there about 3-5 times/week. ‍ My FAVORITE part (besides the epically relaxing "soak" experience) is the fact that it's 18+. No. Kids. Allowed. Sorry for the upset families, but the fact is you can still enjoy the springs at Evan's Plunge down the street. THIS place is reserved for the quiet rejuvenation for stressed-out adults, and I for one welcome it as often as possible! As adults we're often overworked, stressed & can't escape young members of the family. But Moccasin Springs offers a haven to revive you at the soul level. And don't get me started on the restaurant. I loved Buffalo Dreamer (which is now a pop-up across town inside The Space in case you're wondering where it went), but I also love The Mercantile... so when I read that The Dragonfly restaurant inside the springs spa was run by the same owners as The Mercantile, I got excited! They've got incredible gluten-free options... including flat bread!! And their on-brand custom kombucha is amazing as well. There's more than just soaking here too... the massage therapists are amazing, the salt room is healing (especially for sinus issues & allergies!) and they also have an infrared sauna that's new this year. They have other spa services as well and I just want to do them all! If you're 18 or older and need to recharge, spend a few hours here. You won't regret it.

Grab a noodle and float around

Just what we needed after a flight. We booked our passes the night before. They were showing only 10 of 30 sold. When we got there they were sold out so it's a good job we did. A lot of last minute walk ins I guess. The pools were great and we moved around quite a bit. There are noodles to float on for the bigger pool which was nice. Bathrooms are close by. Yes people will talk even when it says whisper....because they just cant help themselves but at least there were no children there. It was pretty quiet on the whole. There was some piped spa music around one of the pools which we did not mind, it was not smooth jazz as someone else indicated. All in all money well spent, we did 2 of 3 hours for the soak. There are sunloungers around the pools which get taken pretty quickly with towels but no people....because they are all soaking.

Very friendly staff and easy check in. The baths were nice however lots of algae in the water also there still a lot of construction going on which doesn't look that nice . The shower cabins are nice just nowhere to put your stuff while Changing not even a toilet lid to close.

It is just like any public pool. Locker rooms. Pay at the door. Life jackets to borrow! The water feels fantastic. We went for our son (who was 5 at the time), but he went down the big slide once and refused to again. But I went down it nearly half a dozen times and had THE TIME OF MY LIFE! I have NEVER went down a giant water slide - always too self-conscious as a kid. If you go, whoever you are, let yourself have fun! For thousands of years, the Lakota Sioux prized the natural warm water springs, the "Minnekahta," in this valley. In 1890, local businessman Fred Evans built Evans Plunge over the site of numerous sparkling springs and one mammoth spring of mineral water and made Evans Plunge the Black Hills' oldest attraction - older than Mt. Rushmore or Crazy Horse.

The staff was helpful and we had a good time overall. They have a kitchen (it looked closed, but…read morewill cook anything on the menu if you ask), gym, and spa. The fee for the pool was reasonable and also covers access to the hot tubs (one was down when we were there) and saunas. People of all ages were there. There are ring you can use to swing across the pool and a few slides: kid size, a very fast slide, and one that has many turns. We went in the winter time, so the outdoor section was closed. I suspect the place is a lot more fun in the summer. If you happen to stop by Hot Springs, it's an interesting place to check out. They had a AAA discount. Be sure to bring your own towels and swimsuits. I did have a minor issue with one of the lockers not working (took my quarters but wouldn't lock), but I was able to resolve it easily at the front desk.
