I had trouble locating Mochinut because it's not its own store. They sell their mochi doughnuts inside Bing Su. My friends and I shared the ube mochi doughnut and churro mochi doughnut. I thought these were really good, but I didn't really taste the ube or the mochi. They were light and chewy. $3.79 for one tiny doughnut also felt steep, but I understand it is a specialty doughnut. read more

Went to the Bellaire location and fell in love with their mochi donuts and was so sad I didn't have the forethought to buy a box to take back to Austin but looked it up and lo and behold they do have a location in Katy on the way out!! So excited! Got there and realize they have different flavors which is ok. Got couple boxes to go. And idk they weren't as good as the Bellaire one. Not sure if it she flavors but the texture wasn't as mochiish. Still good just not as wow. Took the boxes home and yeah these donuts must be eaten fresh or something. When not fresh some tasted like regular donuts. If we heat it up a little it got better but still not like the Bellaire ones. So yeah. About disappointed with this location. The doughnuts were super good! Much chewier than regular doh's which I was a big fan of. (: Also tried the potato mozzarella corn dog thing, HUGE fan of thaaaat with the hot Cheeto dust! First time trying mocha doughnuts so I don't really have much to compare to. The doughnut itself was delightful. Nice and chewy and light. Now, the frosting was a big disappointment. It was labeled "pandan" but there was nothing pandan about it. The frosting was vanilla with a sprinkling of coconut. Huge letdown. I was fully expecting pandan. Oh well. I loved the donuts they were very soft and fresh my favorite is the churro. The chocolate was a bit too sweet for me personally. The boba on the other hand was extremely hard and tasted old. I haven't tried the one in Bellaire yet, but I think this Mochinut is pretty solid. It's not Mr. Donut in Japan, but it's way better than certain other places that sell "mochi donuts" in the Houston area (would give it a 3.5 star if that were an option, but since it's not, I'll be generous and round up since my taste buds were not left extremely confused). They only have a few limited options here, we tried the nutella and the churro flavors. The churro was really good, just the right amount of sweetness atop mochi chewiness. Nutella was pretty tasty too, but just a little heavy (I would not be able to eat one by myself, ended up splitting it with 2 other people). I do feel like mochi donuts we got weren't as fresh (we went around 5pm on a Saturday), which did detract a little from the overall experience, but I'm still very happy with this find and will be back for my next mochi donut craving. read more

Ive never been to this place before but my boyfriends mom said she loved it. i came here and everything looked so good i couldnt decide! i chose the fruity pebble donut and it was delicious. my boyfriend got a matcha donut and the matcha is bery strong but good. i really recommend anything w strawberries! there strawberries taste so fresh and amazing! ill definitely come here again when im in the area! read more

Okay I'll start with the good. Service is friendly. Place is cute and clean and boba is good. Now for the bad. I've been here twice now and each time gets worse. Mochi nut needs to remove their products from this store. They are not doing it justice. For 1 I couldn't easily figure out it's a mochi nut until I walked the shops and looked at yelp photos for reference. The first time I came in here the mochinut donuts tasted so old and did not have that "mochi" bounce you get with these. I also had a milk tea and it was just too watery. I usually give a place more than 1 try unless it's horribly bad. I've worked in food, sometimes you just have a bad day. Second time around the mochinut donuts were soaked in oil. It's as if they left them in the fryer far too long. It was like eating mochi drenched oil. The frosting on them was far too thick as well. Mochinut does not do a heavy almost cake thick glaze or frosting. These are supposed to be light and bouncy with a thin layer of glaze or frosting. Again I ordered the milk tea. I wish I had taken a picture because that was the darkest milk tea I've ever seen. Thought maybe they gave me a brown sugar one. Nope it was milk tea just super concentrated and WAY too sweet for milk tea. It's like they knew they over concentrated it and tried to make up for it in sugar. Unfortunately I wont be back to this location 2 times is enough at this point. read more

mochinuts are perfect, kinda crispy on the outside very soft and chewy on the inside, i recommend the churro one. however the boba tea is why i gave the place 4 stars, the tea itself was good, but the boba was way too hard, they rlly need to boil the boba longer read more
