Pretty good pastries but super busy and very little seating. We stopped here twice today - first because we wanted a late breakfast and second because we forgot something at kinokunya and decided to get a treat Overall it was a fine experience but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here Parking: The parking lot is deceiving large. We had no problem parking at 10am but when we came back around at 5pm we couldn't find a spot anywhere. Selection: There's a pretty good selection with quite a variety. Some of the more cream based ones were way too sweet for me. Big fan of the match one ! The layout of their shelves makes it a bit hard to take in all the options before the people behind you in line start squeezing your forward. Line: Speaking of the line - it gets super packed ! It does flow pretty quickly but the whole place was full of people both times we came in. Drinks: They have a good selection of coffee, tea, and Boba drinks as well. I had a milk tea Boba which was pretty good Seating: We didn't really have anywhere to go eat our breakfast so we decided to sit there. There were about 6-8 bar seats at the window. They weren't too comfortable and the place was so busy I wish we had somewhere else to enjoy our food. Overall it was a fine stop but I doubt I'll be back for a while.

I was in Katy Asian Town for snacks and thought to stop by 85°C Bakery Café at Katy Grand for a quick grab before a long drive home. First thing I saw was the Buy 3 Get 1 Free moon cakes with a pretty red box. But there was only one flavor of moon cake. So, I asked an employee about the other flavor. Reply was "sorry we don't have any more red boxes." What? Then, you need to take the sign down or put a note saying no more boxes. I was not very happy at that point. I didn't feel like to buy anything anyway. It took awhile to park in that narrow parking lot. The day was windy and cold. I bought a small cake for the road. That was all.

Personally, 85 degrees is just okay to me. I only go if my dad has rewards or when they're having a good promotion. They do have a lot of selection from their bread to cakes to drinks though. My go-to items are the tiramisu cake and sea salt coffee, both of which are not too overwhelmingly sweet and have a nice creamy taste. I don't care too much for their bread oopsssss, but I know some friends who absolutely love them! Parking lot is big, but it can fill to the brim during the busy hours with all the other food spots there. Service is always good!! They have minimal seating inside, as there is only a small long table that lays against the windows.

Best place to get savory and sweet snacks that can be enough for meals. Plenty of selections. Kiosk available but cashier are fast and kind like Lauren, which makes experience pleasant. The store is clean and organized. There is appropriate sitting area if you like to enjoy and relax.

I enjoyed this bakery very much. The prices are amazing and I wanted to get a ton of treats to take to a friends brunch and these were perfect. I like how light and fluffy a lot of goodies here are and never overly sweet. The cases and displays are clean and the check out process was super fast and easy. The coconut cream roll was an instant favorite. There is plenty of parking. Inside there are counter height tables along the outer edges for seating and some lower set tables toward the side to enjoy your treat in house. We got them to go and they put all the treats in a nice box for us. Very good service! I will continue to come back here for a long time to come.

I was looking for a mango cake and visited Paris Baguette before stopping by 85°C. There, I noticed an 8" mango crème brûlée cake priced at $39. Curious about the filling, my husband asked a staff member--a young Asian man with glasses--what was inside the cake. Instead of a helpful response, the worker seemed annoyed and replied, "What do you want to know?" We were taken by his attitude. It was a simple question about a cake, and there was no reason for rudeness. Rather than engage further, we decided to leave. With plenty of other bakeries just minutes away, there's no need to tolerate poor customer service. For reference, I previously made a purchase at 85°C's Chinatown location years ago but wasn't particularly impressed with the quality. Unfortunately, this recent experience didn't encourage me to give them another chance in the future. I ended up getting a mango cloud cake $47 at Tous les Jours which was only 2 minutes away inside H mart.

We love 85 degrees! My daughter wanted her cake from here this year. She's not a fan of super sweet cakes and this was perfect for her. The presentation is always so nice too! I always get a Vietnamese coffee when I come! However, if you're not a fan of extra song coffee then you probably shouldn't get it from here. They have one of the strong Vietnamese coffees I've had in Katy Asia Town.

Grab a cake to celebrate my sister's birthday. The cake was red velvet. It was very moist and perfect sweetness. One of my favorite bakeries to purchase and give as gifts.

There are soo many options to choose from! We bought several items but had the blueberry cheesecake first and it was delicious!!! The Vietnamese coffee is also great! Service was fast and friendly! Will definitely bw back when we are in the area!

The pastries are delicious!!! My favorites were the Mochi Egg Tart & Raisin Milk Bun. Everything is individually wrapped, so it's super easy and quick service. The items stayed fresh for a couple days, too. I'm so glad I decided to stop in here!

My mom lovessssss 85 degree bakery. They have many locations in California too. My mom loves the regular coffee here and all the different pastries they offer. I got the mango strawberry smoothie because I was craving something sweet! The smoothie is huge and sweet - not the refreshing vibe I was going for as it was more on the dessert side but it was still yummy. This location has 2 gender neutral bathrooms in the back. They have 3 tables with big chairs for you to sit and enjoy your goodies at.

One of the best bakery places. Loved their sweet and savory options. Their desserts are lighter and very balanced sweet, which I'm very particular about. Off course with no compromise on taste, everything that I've tried taste delicious. The savory food are delicious too, however often times they are cold and hence, feels like not fresh. Would be good if they could store it warm or warm it up for those who wants to eat there. Have been enjoying their hot and cold drinks too. They have a tight limited seating area. During peak hours, people wait for someone to move out. Its a nice spot where people wants to sit there and have a quick bite. Unfortunately, their tight seating space doesn't allow that. Would be nice if they could add few seating options outside.

    Masks are still mandatory here

85C bakery has always been my fave since I was first introduced to it in Cali. Their egg tarts are the closest to the ones I've had at a bakery in Sydney. The cream cheese buns and milk buns are good, too. I tried the garlic cheese bread, which was absolutely delicious. I'd buy more of that! It would pair well with Italian food or by itself. The bread is slightly sweet like a Hawaiian roll. I saw an elote bread and was intrigued but didn't buy. I think I would eat the elote on top first, then the bread. Oh, another go-to is the sea salt or sea salt caramel iced coffee. The lines here weren't long, but the parking lot is busy cause of the other restaurants nearby like hot pot. Masks are required to enter for now.

    When you guys are reopen?

    Katy Grand was reopened 8/5!

Do you have an ETA on the reopening?

As of right now, we are hoping to reopen in July.

So, this originally said it would reopen in March 2021, but now it says May 2021. Why did it get pushed back?

We are working our fastest to get it re-opened. March was just a tentative timeline from when we first closed.

Is this store out of business as of April?

It's not out of business, still temporarily closed.

Why don't reopen earlier than March 2021? All other locations in Houston have reopened. Really want my favorite cafe in Katy, too!

We are sorry we can't accommodate you at this time. It was just a company decision. We can't wait to be serving you Fresh Bread in the spring!

Is this location ever going to reopen?

Yes, we are hoping for early March.

I have a ton of younger cousins who are always working with an allowance budget, so finding somewhere that can actually appease their appetite without breaking the bank is not easy--especially if you're feeding 10+ kids. MeetFresh's $15 giant desserts are truly the king of both budget and flavor. I cannot stress enough how much of a hit this place was the first time I recommended it to my cousins. Whether I'm with them or not, they always make a point to stop by whenever they drive into Houston from College Station. For that reason alone, MeetFresh holds a special place in my heart. It has given my large family a fun, worthwhile experience time and time again. On my most recent visit, we had a friend flying in from Chicago, so we brought him and his girlfriend here. We collectively ordered the Taro Mochi Milk Shaved Ice, and wow--if you're a fan of Chinese herbal flavors, this is the dessert for you. I usually stick with the mango or strawberry fruit dishes, but this one reminded me of Sâm Bổ Lượng, a Vietnamese chè/sweet soup. The flavors were earthy, comforting, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. I genuinely could not stop eating it until the very end, when all that was left was a puddle of melted ice and mixed-up dessert "schlop" -- LOL. Truly, thank you, MeetFresh, for being such a great place to gather, share, and enjoy dessert without needing a huge budget.

Would be very careful because they don't mark all of the dishes correctly - some things with almonds still do not have the nut allergy marking. Time-to-Order: 5 Minutes We went with a red bean milk shaved ice dish with mochi and happily shared it among five people. The space is great for hanging out. Would definitely come back.

The cake tasted old and stale like it had been sitting in the store for days. The cream was hard instead of soft and fresh, and the cake itself was dry and unpleasant. It honestly felt like a display cake rather than a fresh cake made for customers. It was upsetting seeing the kids excited for cake and then unable to eat it. For the price paid, this quality is unacceptable. I would avoid this store if you care about freshness and quality.
