    Vietnamese coffee donut

First time visit to Mochinut. The donuts are not your typical deep fried donut taste. Mochinut has a variety of donut flavors. I tried the Vietnamese coffee donut. The donut was light and the perfect amount of icing. I didn't really get the coffee flavor, but tasty nonetheless. Mochinut's slogan is more than just a donut. They also offer milk tea and rice hot dogs with interesting flavors.

After seeing these donuts all over social media, when I happened to walk by a Mochinut store I had to try one. I got the pistachio flavor. It had a thick white chocolate type icing which was tasty. The donut tasted like a fried rice cake. Definitely tasted the oil. It was good but not crave worthy for me. Strawberry funnel cake seemed to be the most popular flavor. Cute concept, but I'd rather get my deep fried calories from a dessert I truly love.

A very different option from anything close to us, but... The Mochinuts were very good. I do think they are a bit pricy, but they have several options and for the half dozen we bought, all were good. We brought corn dogs too, at a decent price in my opinion. The hot Cheeto half and half was decent, the potato was ok, but honestly the regular dog with mozzarella as the best; that cheese pull!! All in all, it's ok. If you're looking for a fun alternative to a donut, here it is!

Decimated! The last mochinut and the battle for taste ownership begins.... Cookies and cream

Oh yeah...... this is the place! Mochinut is like a doughnut but way lighter and with great flavor toppings. I was impressed by the texture and lack of density, a nice change from the traditional doughnut. My favorites were UBE very good, coffee and cookies n cream. I tasted a hint of coconut in the UBE and it was divine. I'm dreaming of that purple UBE right now and need to go back for more. My regret, not buying like four dozen. We only got a half dozen. We were all battling for these luscious pearls!

Went to Mochinuts in Newark First time. Service was great and very helpful. Line was to the door and the experience was worth going back.

I've always been a fan of mochi donuts. So I was quite surprised to see one open in Newark on Main. They have been actively promoting on social media platforms and I decided to pop up on their soft opening. Donuts are soft, pillowy, with a chewy texture and very light outer crisp. Not overly sweet either. I think they are rotating flavors because I didn't get to score on the ones I wanted from the options they had posted online. Their boba drinks were ok. As for the Korean corn dogs, wasn't a big whoa for me. All in all. I enjoyed the donuts. A bit pricey as they are priced $3.50 each. Staff are nice. However, could use a good wipe down as every table had tons of crumbs. Oh, kudos on the packaging too. The ones in Virginia and Philly I went too didn't have that! Grand Opening date is 8/22/23

I just want to start by saying their food and drinks are really good and I definitely recommend! But I ordered a box of 3 donuts and I only got to, and those things are pretty pricey. I don't know did you guys forget to put in there or did our delivery person ate it (not trying to accuse anyone) but I am disappointed so please next time double check your orders.

Half and half corn dog with French fries

My friend loves unique foods, and when I was visiting her, she asked if I'd ever had a Korean corndog. I hadn't but was intrigued by the description: you can get a hotdog center, cheese center, or a half and half. Whatever you pick for a center gets fried up and then, if you're brave, you can get it covered in ramen, hot Cheetos, French fries, or crunchy cereal (which I think may be cornflakes?). I decided to go all in, so I got a half and half (top half is a cheese center, the bottom half is a hotdog center) with the French fries outside. My first impression? It was a surprisingly large portion. For like $6-$7, I wasn't sure what the size was going to be, but Mochinut said "we believe in generosity." Second, it was an adventure to eat! Because of the size and the French fries on the outside, it was a bit messy to eat, but I just ate it over the to-go container, and that largely did the trick. I also took advantage of their wide range of sauces, so that probably didn't help the messiness. I really liked a sweet chili-type sauce they had and I also got ketchup (classic). Third, it was honestly such a fun food idea! Like, is it healthy? No. Is it something I could eat regularly? Probably not. But was it really yummy and a fun treat? Absolutely! The cheese was melty, the French fries were crispy, the hot dog was good, and the whole thing was surprisingly non-greasy. We also got donuts (because we just said goodbye to health for the evening). We got 6 donuts and tried a bunch of flavors: churro, ube, black sesame, cookies and cream, something with coffee, and some s'more variety. The donuts are super cute and because of the shape, they're perfect for sharing (the little sections tear off easily). It was my first mochi donut, and I quite liked the light and chewy texture, but mochi isn't everyone's cup of tea. The flavors were interesting, but every single one was an absolute sugar bomb. Even the black sesame one was overpoweringly sweet. I guess that shouldn't be surprising for donuts, but it was a bit too much for me. Everything was very fresh though and the service was very good. I guess I would classify the food/donuts as sort of novelty items, so not sure if I would return regularly, but it was definitely a fun visit. I didn't try it on this visit, but my friend also said their boba wasn't her favorite. So if I could, I'd probably give this place a 3.5 stars, but sadly Yelp only allows full star picks.

I really wanted to like this new joint because it had a very intriguing fusion concept going for it but everything I tried seemed to be so greasy it was hard to finish my meal especially the dog. The mochinut was fresh and light textured dough; however, the frosting was very dense and didn't fit the concept. The brown sugar boba tea was mostly sugar from the boba and then straight milk no tea flavor. Hopefully it's just kinks in the formula but this visit definitely missed the mark and we won't be back.

I got the box of the donut pieces. Pretty disappointed. The donuts are soggy and some are plain donuts, nothing on it. I got this so I can try a few flavors not eat a plain donut. The pocky and biscoff in here were soft. The matcha one doesn't have a good flavor.

Where do I even start...... because let me tell you this was the biggest disappointment I've had this year I didn't even want to give it one star not even a quarter of a star. It was busy to be expected with it being the weekend a new spot in bum DE and college kids were getting dropped off at the college near by... CUSTOMER SERVICE ZERO no one was nice or even welcoming, when I asked the guy about the milk he told me it was lactose free but since when is whole milk lactose free??? I ordered $40 worth of things, two hot Cheetos hotdogs ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. They put this Sauce on it that makes it soggy and unappetizing I couldn't even stomach taking a second bite and my stick was dirty as hell raw batter dripping sauce finger marks from the working who was making them. The drinks we got one free and they both tasted like straight cow milk. I don't know about y'all but I'm an Almond or oat milk girly. The donuts UNACCEPTABLE dry frosting was over powering af and they didn't have freshness to it at all. Now this is what took the cake for me the workers again were not only rude but very very unsanitary. One kept touching his hat and making drinks then touch donut's, the lady making the hot dogs didn't look like she changed her gloves in years and the the worst of them all. The girl in the picture eating her hotdog while working like what even is that I should have asked for a refund the moment I saw that but I wasn't trying to be that person. They will not receive not even a ounce of my coins.

I have been on the hunt to find and try Korean hot dogs in this area for a long time and this place did not disappoint! I originally thought that this place was just for mochi donuts but after seeing an ad I found out they have the hot dogs as well. I decided to get a little bit of everything and try some donuts, an all mozzarella original, a hot dog potatoe one and the flaming hot Cheetos one. They all came out super fresh and crispy even though we came later close to their closing time and the donuts tasted just as fresh too. Their bubble tea was cute to look at but just ok in taste but the other stuff is what you really need to try anyway. Prices were reasonable considering the times we're in and definitely a whole meal by itself because they are very large. So if you're in the area or looking to try these definitely stop by and check them out!
