The pastries are fresh and delicious. I got the chai latte which was very amazing. Great ambiance. Great customer service. Highly recommend.

As an Allergy Friendly Foodie, I can't indulge the way I used to due to my dietary restrictions, but that doesn't stop me from recognizing a great spot like Beiler's. This donut shop inside Reading Terminal Market is iconic for a reason. The quality, freshness, and consistency are exactly what you hope for when you're treating yourself or someone else. Even though I can't enjoy them personally anymore, I still make it a point to stop in and pick them up for my son--and every time, they deliver. I also love that they think beyond just people--offering doggy donuts is such a thoughtful touch. For anyone without dietary restrictions, this is absolutely a must-visit. It's one of those classic places that represents what Reading Terminal Market is all about: tradition, quality, and that special treat you remember. Even if you can't eat them, it's still a place worth supporting--and sharing the joy with someone else.

Beiler's Doughnuts (Located inside Reading Terminal Market) 51 N. 12th. St. Philadelphia, PA 19107 Maple Bacon Doughnut This is one of the freshest, tastiest donuts I explored. The outside was soft and the inside was filled with a maple flavored cream. The donut was freshly made by hand, which accounts for its exemplary texture. The only disadvantage is that I do not live in the area; otherwise, I would have been ordering there more often. #beilersdoughnuts #maplebacondoughnut #maplebacon #readingterminalmarket #philadelphiapa

This is an Amish owned and operated doughnut bakery located in the Reading Market. They make some of the best doughnuts I have ever had. Doughnuts are light and air with fresh farm to table taste. Fillings are homemade and are what elevate their doughnuts to the next level. This is one of my favorite go to treats when visiting the Reading Market. Stall typically has a line but line moves and is well worth the wait.

These are said to be Philadelphia's most famous donuts! This is an Amish bakery that insists on making products by hand daily. Maple Bacon: Sounds intimidating, but it's the staff's top recommendation. The bacon was diced and just a small topping, not very prominent; the main ingredient was maple cream, rich and smooth, not too sweet, but very fragrant and flavorful. Glazed: A simple, classic donut, just syrup drizzled on top. Personally, I found it rather ordinary. Make sure to go early! They open at 8 am, and shortly after 9 they were almost sold out.

    Strawberry Creme Donut (~$2)

Ordered: Strawberry Creme Donut (~$2): filled with a homemade crème made with strawberry and drizzled with white icing Blueberry Fritter (~$2): donut with blueberries & cinnamon folded in and covered with glaze Aya's take: It seems like I can't come to Philly without checking out Reading Terminal Market, let alone Beiler's Bakery. We got the Strawberry Creme Donut & Blueberry Fritter. The Strawberry Creme Donut was sweet, soft, and filled with strawberry creme. The strawberry flavor was too subtle which seems to be a common occurrence with their filled donuts. The Blueberry Fritter was more cake-like, hard exterior and soft interior, and you can actually taste the blueberry. Decent but again, I expected more!

We drove 3 hours to have these donuts. That's how good they are. There was a cue on Saturday but it moves pretty quickly. Maple Bacon Donuts are the ones to try first if you've never been. Located in the Reading Terminal and prepare to be overwhelmed if you go on a weekend. Very busy and chaotic and seats are limited. Embrace it and know you have found the best donuts in all the land.

6/10 on these. Sorry Philadelphia. Stan's and Di-Rite in Chicago still get the prize Assorted Doughnuts

6/10 on these. Sorry Philadelphia. Stan's and Do-Rite in Chicago still get the prize My order: Assorted Doughnuts filled and frosted. The cake style: Missing? The crunchy exterior and tender interior that occurs when donuts are deep fried properly with minimal quality ingredients. These were a bit sad; flat on height and flavor. 5/10 Raised: These had the texture of Dunkin' Missing the lift- flat as if filled too soon after frying. And I believe they were rolled too thin. I wanted to love them, especially since I believe that they are hand cut. I'm so sorry Philadelphia. The price was affordable at $29.75/ dozen but I would rather pay a bit more for quality fillings. Fritters- great cinnamon flavor but absolutely no fruit in sight.

Yelp Review 2025 #232: Located inside Reading Terminal Market, Beiler's Bakery serves some of the best doughnuts in Philly. They are family-owned and they still handmake their doughnuts fresh at each location they have. I came here in the afternoon. Some of their doughnuts were already sold out. Nutella Creme: I've had Nutella doughnuts that doesn't taste much like Nutella because people add on other ingredients. Beiler's doesn't do that. The filling is thick and rich Nutella. The doughnut is soft and fluffy. 5/5 Harvest Apple: I really wanted an Apple fritter but they were sold out. This was the next bed thing. It has real apple and a nice filling. 4/5 Pumpkin: Since I came here in the fall, I had to try their pumpkin doughnut. However, it's not for me. 3/5 Service was quick, nothing remarkable. You grab and pay for your doughnuts and find somewhere to sit so you can enjoy them. The whole market is casual.

The donuts here are top-tier! This spot is located inside Reading Terminal Market, which is always packed--especially on weekends. Be prepared to wait in a long line, but trust me, it's absolutely worth it. My only tip: eat the donuts the same day you buy them. By the next day, the quality really drops--they're just not the same. So while you're at Reading Terminal, save some room for dessert and treat yourself. You won't regret it!

INCREDIBLE DONUTS!! this was the highlight at reading terminal market for me. i particularly loved the harvest apple donuts, they were so homey and delicious. the strawberry crème donut was also very good. the prices are fair as well. i also got their bottled chocolate milk which was surprisingly delicious and rich. when i visit philly again, this donut shop is at the top of my list to come back to!

I'm not the biggest donut fan, but had a taste from my friends who each got a donut here. They go for $2.15 each, which is a bit pricey, but they're making them hot and fresh. It's cool that you can watch all the action happening. The donuts here are classic. I tried the blueberry and apple one, which was decent. It's good for a quick breakfast, but anything in Reading Terminal Market is a bit on the touristy side.

Do they have gluten free options?

Not that I've seen on the donut side, but they do have gf treats on the other side (where the cakes, cookies, pies, breads, etc are). The gf options are closer to the door, where they make the cinnamon rolls.

    Do they make banana pudding?

They used to and still have it I think. It's on the right side of the stand with other cold stuff that is a carry-over from the Beiler's Pickle Stand days. There is also a pop-up place called Nina's on Saturdays that has a number of varieties of… Read more

Trying to go here tomorrow at like 4 or 5pm... do they make doughnuts all day long or will i be left with the scraps?

We went around the same time that you're saying and I thought the same thing. However when we got there the line was massive and they were still pumping out more Donuts fresh right out of the oven.

I got the egg tart on recommendation as well as a cheese pastry, pandan cake and red bean moon cake and everything was delicious! The cheese pastry had the softest exterior with a warm cheese filling that was savory but light at the same time. The moon cake was very rich and perfect for sharing! The pandan cake and egg tart were perfectly not-too-sweet, which is why I personally tend to gravitate towards Asian baked goods. It's a smaller but very cozy and homey interior with two tables for sitting down to enjoy your coffee and pastries. It's also cash only or Venmo, so keep that in mind if you never carry cash! It's a small bakery and a small selection but sufficient. We got the sponge bread, the custard bread, the egg tart, the pineapple bun, and the barbecue pork bun for )10.70 cash. The sponge bread is slightly sweet and very light and really quite wonderful. The barbecue pork bun and the pineapple bun were exactly as it should taste. No wonder those two are the best sellers. The egg tart is not too sweet, none of these breads are (aka high praise for any pastries ). Would definitely return! I thought the service was nice. I think there could be some challenges with English, but you could also just point!! My personal favorites are the sponge bread and the pineapple bun. So that's what I would get again. For people who love barbecue pork bun, I think you probably would want to get this.

There was one person in line at Flying Monkey. I was not in a rush so I took my time looking through their cases no one asked me if I needed help or had any questions. After a few minutes, I queued up. The cashier didn't look at me at all, and the person ahead of me had been standing there a while. Then, it dawned on me that the person ahead of me was a lovely woman in her 20s, and the cashier was trying to pick her up. Hey, I get it, so I figured I'd give him some time and he'd check in with me in a moment. However--after what must have been about 5 minutes of me standing there looking directly at him--he started taking things out of the display case so she could try them and not charging her for anything. I gave up and walked away. I would recommend Flying Monkey for attractive young women to get free, undoubtably delicious, baked goods. For the rest of us, it's a hard pass.
