I love me some delicious donuts. I ordered a half dozen donuts for $10.75. What a great idea this was. I have no idea what all I ordered, but I got 3 classic ones that you can get mostly anywhere, and then I got 3 wild ones at the choice of the worker there helping me out. I have to say, I really just prefer classic chocolate icing, or caramel icing regular donuts. The crazy ones with all the toppings and fillings are just weird to me. Krispy Kreme remains as always the GOAT of all donut shops, but I do like trying new spots. Certainly worth stopping by if you're craving a donut. read more

This bakery sure does get a lot of foot traffic. Located towards the front in a corner, you can find a line wrapped around a few other booths. The line does move pretty quick. I recommend looking at a menu or doing research ahead of time so you have an idea on what you would like to get. I opted for a few items to include some rolls. Everything looked delicious. Now those donuts.... don't skip on them. The can sell out so get there quick. They had many different offerings, toppings and filling. They had many items from cakes, pies, breads, donuts and more. Service was fantastic. They were all working hard, and got things moving fast. They were taking orders left and right. The cost was on point for what they offer. read more

Every time we visit Philly, this is a must stop. No one makes better donuts. They're always so delicious and just melt in your mouth. My husband is a plain Jane so he primarily likes glazed. He will also sometimes eat a glazed with vanilla on top but that's it. I'm the told opposite. The more loaded and frosted, the better. No matter what kind of donut I get there, the donut itself always keeps it shape and flavor even a day later. The peanut butter cream is my all time favorite. The peanut butter is ooey gooey goodness. My second favorite is the apple filled. The apples are so Fresh and delicious. If you go to Reading Terminal, you must go there. I dream of these donuts. read more

Beiler's is amazing. A lot of different options for donuts. I got the peanut butter crème and peanut butter chocolate, both were to die for. The crème was smooth and fluffy, went well with the soft dough of the pastry. Service was fast. The queue moved at a fair pace and it was worth the wait. It's busy and loud inside Reading Terminal Market but that adds to the fast pace vibe of Beiler's. read more

As an Allergy Friendly Foodie, I can't indulge the way I used to due to my dietary restrictions, but that doesn't stop me from recognizing a great spot like Beiler's. This donut shop inside Reading Terminal Market is iconic for a reason. The quality, freshness, and consistency are exactly what you hope for when you're treating yourself or someone else. Food: Some of the worst doughnuts I've ever tried. Don't waste your money and calories on this spot. Federal Donuts or even Dunkin Donuts is better than this place. Service: Staff weren't that friendly and welcoming. Ambiance: This is a food stand located in Reading Terminal Market. The place seemed popular with a constant long line, but I was highly disappointed. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place and won't be returning. read more

These are said to be Philadelphia's most famous donuts! This is an Amish bakery that insists on making products by hand daily. Maple Bacon: Sounds intimidating, but it's the staff's top recommendation. The bacon was diced and just a small topping, not very prominent; the main ingredient was maple cream, rich and smooth, not too sweet, but very fragrant and flavorful. Glazed: A simple, classic donut, just syrup drizzled on top. Personally, I found it rather ordinary. Make sure to go early! They open at 8 am, and shortly after 9 they were almost sold out. read more

This is an Amish owned and operated doughnut bakery located in the Reading Market. They make some of the best doughnuts I have ever had. Doughnuts are light and air with fresh farm to table taste. Fillings are homemade and are what elevate their doughnuts to the next level. This is one of my favorite go to treats when visiting the Reading Market. Ordered: Strawberry Creme Donut (~$2): filled with a homemade crème made with strawberry and drizzled with white icing Blueberry Fritter (~$2): donut with blueberries & cinnamon folded in and covered with glaze Aya's take: It seems like I can't come to Philly without checking out Reading Terminal Market, let alone Beiler's Bakery. We got the Strawberry Creme Donut & Blueberry Fritter. The Strawberry Creme Donut was sweet, soft, and filled with strawberry creme. The strawberry flavor was too subtle which seems to be a common occurrence with their filled donuts. The Blueberry Fritter was more cake-like, hard exterior and soft interior, and you can actually taste the blueberry. Decent but again, I expected more! read more

6/10 on these. Sorry Philadelphia. Stan's and Do-Rite in Chicago still get the prize My order: Assorted Doughnuts filled and frosted. The cake style: Missing? The crunchy exterior and tender interior that occurs when donuts are deep fried properly with minimal quality ingredients. These were a bit sad; flat on height and flavor. 5/10 Raised: These had the texture of Dunkin' Missing the lift- flat as if filled too soon after frying. And I believe they were rolled too thin. I wanted to love them, especially since I believe that they are hand cut. I'm so sorry Philadelphia. The price was affordable at $29.75/ dozen but I would rather pay a bit more for quality fillings. Fritters- great cinnamon flavor but absolutely no fruit in sight. read more

Yelp Review 2025 #232: Located inside Reading Terminal Market, Beiler's Bakery serves some of the best doughnuts in Philly. They are family-owned and they still handmake their doughnuts fresh at each location they have. I came here in the afternoon. Some of their doughnuts were already sold out. Nutella Creme: I've had Nutella doughnuts that doesn't taste much like Nutella because people add on other ingredients. Beiler's doesn't do that. The filling is thick and rich Nutella. The doughnut is soft and fluffy. 5/5 Harvest Apple: I really wanted an Apple fritter but they were sold out. This was the next bed thing. It has real apple and a nice filling. 4/5 Pumpkin: Since I came here in the fall, I had to try their pumpkin doughnut. However, it's not for me. 3/5 Service was quick, nothing remarkable. You grab and pay for your doughnuts and find somewhere to sit so you can enjoy them. The whole market is casual. read more

The donuts here are top-tier! This spot is located inside Reading Terminal Market, which is always packed--especially on weekends. Be prepared to wait in a long line, but trust me, it's absolutely worth it. My only tip: eat the donuts the same day you buy them. We drove 3 hours to have these donuts. That's how good they are. There was a cue on Saturday but it moves pretty quickly. Maple Bacon Donuts are the ones to try first if you've never been. Located in the Reading Terminal and prepare to be overwhelmed if you go on a weekend. Very busy and chaotic and seats are limited. Conveniently located within Reading Terminal lies one of the best donuts I have ever had. From their sweet and savory maple donut to their delicious nutella creme donut, all of their flavors will leave you craving more. I personally really enjoyed the maple bacon flavor. INCREDIBLE DONUTS!! this was the highlight at reading terminal market for me. i particularly loved the harvest apple donuts, they were so homey and delicious. the strawberry crème donut was also very good. the prices are fair as well. i also got their bottled chocolate milk which was surprisingly delicious and rich. when i visit philly again, this donut shop is at the top of my list to come back to! read more

It's cool that you can watch all the action happening. The donuts here are classic. I tried the blueberry and apple one, which was decent. Ordered the shoofly pie, peach and blueberry pie, coconut custard pie, and chocolate mousse pie. Pickup was easy since I placed the order ahead of time. I just went past the donut line and gave my name to get my order. The shoofly pie is really interesting because I've never had a molasses pie before but it's pretty good. It's really sweet so one slice is enough but the crumbles on top help a bit. I could really taste the molasses so for my first time, I really enjoyed it! The peach and blueberry pie is tangy and fruity. I taste the blueberries moreso than the peach but with the crusty and outer pie shell, the fruity flavors get rounded off by the chewy pie. It's a really good fruit pie and I can't wait to taste the others! The coconut custard pie was by far my favorite. Coconut shavings on top of a creamy coconut custard. What's not to love? I'd 100% get this again. The chocolate mousse was good but we thawed it too long so it didn't hold up too well. If you like chocolate, this one is definitely for you. Next time, I'll have to get some donuts too! read more

Came here Monday morning a little after they had just opened. The donuts were so fresh and there were so many options. Got an apple fritter and a sugar donut. The bread was very soft and fresh. I liked how small the fritters was, it fit in the palm of my hand. The employes are all really nice and attentive. Great stop in the reading terminal. read more

The best donuts in Philly (and perhaps even the world??) I'd heard amazing things about these donuts and had to try them for myself. They're at Reading Terminal market (beware, not open on Sundays which I tragically discovered one weekend). There's often a line but it moves fast. I tried an assortment of flavors and they were all amazing - the Oreo Crème was probably the most unique/yummy! The dough is so chewy and yet airy, in the best way. Will be back! read more

There is a lot of different flavors to choose from! I really enjoyed the vanilla sprinkle, the glazed and the apple fritter. It was fluffy to the touch. The ratio of icing was ideal. We split a box of 6 donuts amongst 4 people. It's at Reading Terminal, and note that they don't open on Sundays. The waiting line will be quite long, but the waiting time will be short.There'll be a line to wait, but the line will move fast. They appear to be in constant motion. I highly recommend these donuts! read more

Quality "fancy" donuts at a reasonable price. We got a half dozen variety (~$9) of the following: apple fritter, oreo crème (FIRE), glazed cake (??), regular glazed, apple, and powdered jelly. If you have a sweet tooth, you will LOVE the oreo creme (I did). The fritter was delicious as well (never met a fritter I didn't like), as were the remaining donuts. There were a few empty trays (forgot the flavors) we wanted to try, but if you want to sample tasty ones, I'd recommend choosing the kinds with only a few donuts remaining! read more

The donuts were unfortunately subpar. I was super excited to get them at the Reading Terminal Market, and they looked really good, but I didn't love how most of them tasted. The glazed donut was pretty good, and the only one I would maybe consider getting again. It was super soft and chewy, like a mochi donut. The apple cider donut tasted okay but it was dry. The apple fritter was also leaning towards dry. The boston cream was soft but I didn't like how the donut tasted. And for the caramel apple donut, I didn't like the taste of the filling very much. They have dining areas to sit down and eat, or you can eat your food while walking around. Either way, it was the place to be. I can see people spending their entire day here, and absolutely loving it :) They have AC on inside and you just can't complain. I visited three places: Fox and Son, Miller's Twist, and Bassetts Ice Cream. At Fox and Son, I tried their veggie cheddar jalapeño plant-based corn dog, which was yummy but very messy to eat. The pretzel line at Miller's was long but moved pretty fast. I got a regular pretzel and was mind blown at how fresh, soft, and delicious it was! Lastly, had to grab some ice cream to stay cool in the heat. The nice gentleman allowed me to sample two flavors before I decided to get a scoop each in a cup: English Toffee and Butterscotch Vanilla. I really enjoyed the crunch in the English Toffee. It felt really good eating it outside in the heat.

The pandan cake and egg tart were perfectly not-too-sweet, which is why I personally tend to gravitate towards Asian baked goods. It's a smaller but very cozy and homey interior with two tables for sitting down to enjoy your coffee and pastries. It's also cash only or Venmo, so keep that in mind if you never carry cash! I look forward to visiting again and trying more items!

They have a small bar seating where you can eat your food next to boxes and boxes of supplies/ ingredients. So, if that's not the ambiance you're looking for, take your food somewhere else. I enjoyed my sweet tofu with tapioca. It hit the spot. They have beef noodle soup and other Taiwanese dishes, snacks and desserts. I didn't get to try them because I had a heavy lunch.

The look and smell of the donuts makes me want not one but three, but I know that if I did that, I'd be fat as a house. The attention to detail on the little things really count and do get noticed. Take a look at the caps on the cups. Other restaurants can learn from this. Whatever caps they use on their fountain drinks... it's a phenomenal cap that won't pop off even when you squeeze the cup real hard. The branding on their cups, bags, and all around the store are sensational. Solomonov's team has done a great job on the logo. Now, I will say that there are some people who prefer the other type of donut - the fried dough donut - versus Federal Donut's cake donut. I sometimes flip back and forth between the two, but you can't dislike cake donuts. Each "Fancy" or "Classic" donut is like a little Bundt cake or cupcake. If you don't like cupcakes or Bundt cakes, you have no soul. Believe it or not, you can order a salad from Federal Donuts. There are two offered, but the stars of the show are the chicken sandwiches and the donuts. Go get them today!

Hey, I get it, so I figured I'd give him some time and he'd check in with me in a moment. However--after what must have been about 5 minutes of me standing there looking directly at him--he started taking things out of the display case so she could try them and not charging her for anything. I gave up and walked away. I would recommend Flying Monkey for attractive young women to get free, undoubtably delicious, baked goods. For the rest of us, it's a hard pass.

I don't even words to describe . I don't know how they're doing what they do. Normally you eat a donut it's amazing and then it sinks in you . Here you can have three and they're as light and airy as they are packed with flavor . It's some kind of Amish magic. They have to be the best donuts inhave ever had . I make the two hour drive from New York City just for a dozen of these. Filled with the most incredible fillings I couldn't even tell you where to begin. The peanut butter filled are insane . The cookies and cream , caramel, Elvis , it's just the bottom line is nothing is bad . The lines get long and let me tell you the lines are worth it . You will not be disappointed and you will never understand how these people make what they make . Kudos to the Amish . They have this down to a science the rest of us will never have . We made a stop at Beiler's Doughnuts in Philadelphia just inside the northwest entrance of Reading Terminal Market and it was absolutely worth it for a sweet treat. Food: We tried the Key Lime, Caramel Apple, and Strawberry Cream doughnuts -- all were rich, flavorful, and incredibly fresh. They were a bit heavier than expected, but still absolutely delicious and satisfying. Service: Even with a long line, the staff kept things moving quickly and smoothly. Everyone was friendly and efficient, making the experience feel easy despite the crowds. Aesthetic: Located inside Reading Terminal Market, the shop itself is mostly grab-and-go, but the display case filled with colorful doughnuts is eye-catching and fun. No matter what the flavor, there is NOTHING better than a warm fresh doughnut!. Just ask the girls behind the counter and they will tell you. I ordered a dozen because I couldn't choose. They have so many delicious concoctions! I loved the one with Fruity Pebbles on the top as well as the maple bacon doughnut with bacon on top. The Elvis doughnut was delicious as well. I seriously can't emphasize how great they all were. I even got an Easter Peep doughnut! Beiler's gets hyped a lot, and for good reason. They have a great selection of flavors, so there's something for everyone. I've enjoyed everything so far, but I am partial to the Apple Fritter and Oreo Creme. I don't know how they do it, but the donuts are extremely light and fluffy - the creme especially will evaporate in your mouth in the best possible way imaginable. At $11/dozen you're paying less than a dollar per donut so it's very low risk to try everything they've got! The line can be very long depending on the time of day, but the staff is efficient. Besides, you get to check out the behind-the-scenes as you wait. read more

A minor wait to be seated scored us a roomier table. Classic ingredients with a fresh interpretation were the order of the day. Tasty spaghetti with clams not your traditional Vongole, my salmon with greens was a tad salty but had a perfect crisp outer layer. Chilled corn soup with crisp gnocci was tasty. Would have liked the gnocci to not be as doughy in flavor but an interestiing interpretation. Reasonably priced wine and our wine selection married well with the flavors of our food selections. OMG. Once I had the revelation that we could serve Beiler's donuts as our wedding dessert, there was no turning back. Via Facebook, we corresponded with Beiler's a few times, and they accommodated our every request. They found someone to deliver 20 dozen donuts to our venue in Old City. Our guests were over-the-moon about their choices (salty caramel is still my all-time favorite!) And we saved hundreds of dollars by going with Beiler's, (which really is our first choice in dessert), over a cake or cupcakes. Best wedding decision I made! read more

We stopped to bring my Aunt Tootsie goodies. She was sooooo glad we did! Everything looked so good and the girls working there were so nice. We got delicious chocolate peanut butter cup cookies, so buttery. We bought chocolate chip cheesecake, blueberry cheesecake slices and a slice of German chocolate cake slice. On the way we couldn't resist eating the small fried hand size apple pie. So good. The crust was the best I've ever had. It would be so good with coffee. They had a huge delicious variety. read more

WOW! BEST DONUTS EVER!!! Donuts are definitely my weakness....saw the long line and thought, "These must be good" and they payoff was worth the wait! I'm terrible with the names of the donuts but they had an apple filled donut with white icing that was the best. We also had the Key Lime, Lemon, and several others and it's almost impossible to pick a favorite. I first heard about Baler's Bakery on Bobby Fay's Throw down. The cookies here can be a meal in themselves if you don't mind lots of crabs. The chocolate peanut butter are out of this world. The price is a bit high, but you can easily share a cookie. There is really nowhere to sit in the bakery which is downstairs off the street, so don't plan to eat here. Take a long walk on the Upper West Side and then treat yourself to one of these decadent treats. read more
