Good place, great ambience, and quality food. This restaurant has it all. It's a semi-upscale dining experience but without the complication derived from elaborated dishes. Is the kind of place that you can come for a work related lunch, for after-work drinks, with the family or with a date. So, it's very convenient. The dress code is casual, but not extremely casual (no sandals). The personnel is well trained and extremely attentive to all your needs. So they already have five stars in my book. The food is great and consistent for a restaurant chain. Also the flavors are spot-on. Exactly how northern Mexican bbq should taste. Lots of coal, smoke, and spices! My recommendation, try all their fillets and taco variety. Dot waist time on salads here. They only have two options anyway. This and excellent place for tourist that what to savor more upscale taco flavors. The quality of the ingredients is adequate for what they are serving. Perhaps the only downside is their desert menu. Believe me, we tried several and some how keep longing for something better

My uncle brought us here for dinner and it was sooo good! We made a reservation ahead of time. They took our temperatures and had to go through a sanitation cube prior to entering. Menu is via QR code. We ordered a few appetizers like Camarones Chiguili, Pulpo a las Brasas y Chicharrones de Rib that you cooked using a hot rock. For our main meal we ordered the Tomahawk and Rib Eye Añejo to share. The meat was absolutely amazing! It was so good that I forgot to take photos. In regards to drinks, well they were all amazing! I had a few Sangins and mixed drinks with whiskey. The mixologist will come by the table and talk to you about what they offer. We finished the night with a brownie dessert.
Such an elegant and cool restaurant that's distinct. Mochomos is an upscale steak house that is very well designed and is filled with happy people and 80's music. And shuffle board. Great service with very friendly staff who are eager to share their many opinions. The bar is very complete as is the wine list. The food is excellent. Steaks are some of the ets you can find in CDMX. The tuna tartare was great and full of avocado. The goat cheese sauced cauliflower is amazing as is the shrimp! And the side sauces are awesome. Groovin through dinner .... read more

Muy buen servicio y muy atentos. Todos los platillos de ordenamos estaban muy buenos pero la especial de mariscos no estaba nada buena. Aparte de eso, lo demás estaba muy bien y los precios razonables para un restaurante de esta escala. read more
Five stars down...this place is amazing. And the food isn't that bad either ;). Actually the food is exquisite! This is certainly one of those places...um...how would one say...I believe Marilyn Mason said it best..."beautiful people...the beautiful people"! Wow. Everyone looked like they were a cut from Vogue or GQ...crazy really. The food though, was truly truly incredible. We actually went two nights in a row - if that tells ya anything. Just poke through my photos and decide yourself. Viva Mochomos! Well done! read more

Cool spot for flashy people. Food was decent but ridiculously overpriced. My fish was definitely not worth $25. I had a few bites of other plates and they were pretty good overall. You could almost taste the fanciness. The drinks were good as well; I had a few Old Fashioned's and they were yummy. This is mostly a place to see and be seen. Everyone has that "I'm better than you" type of attitude. Funny, on the way out of the plaza this new money family all dressed up in loud Ed Hardy-ish clothes and full of bling steps out of a fancy SUV and they definitely didn't look like bankers.... you do the math. read more

Food, cocktails service and ambience were excellent. I came to Mexico City because I heard the service was so special. I did not find it until I came to this place. The food was excellent even though my friend' food might have been better than mine. The drinks are great, but the best thing about the place is the way you were treated service the way it should be. They like to slam a lot of dishes and it's a lot of fun to watch. Kudos. read more

Came here on the recommendation of my cousin who lives in CDMX. Good food and attentive service. Its it pricey, yes...but compared to expensive steakhouses in the US its reasonably priced (ie: Ruth Chris, Peter Luger). Appetizers, alcoholic drinks, 3 entrees, sides, salad, and dessert all under $200. And we were completely stuffed. What really stands out is the service. That in my opinion is priceless and worth every penny. read more

Good food, but overpriced and service not up to par for a Mexican restaurant of this level. I'm not a fussy order-er but I asked if one dish could have the sauce on the side and the waiter looked at me like I had three heads. Also, the patio/terrace is indoors for those who are looking for open air. Pretty decor and fun ambiance. read more

This place is freaking incredible. Rockstar check. VIP check. Andrea at front door taking care of you check! Ask for cabana you won't regret it. Have to be ready to spend money but with the conversion rate your a boss. Check. This place with the exception that it gets soooo busy after 10pm when Mexicans have dinner your good. Buy hella drinks around 9pm get a place and people watch. You will see from the most stuck up to the most under the water people with money. Take your pick. I would rather be know as the person with $10m and nobody knows than the ass that is shouting for attention and be with 100k. You get both. Be HUMBLE and watch the people who need attention and chuckle. read more

I had an amazing experience at Mochomos in Mexico City. The staff was extremely warm and courteous towards us. We did not speak Spanish and they were extremely accommodating of that as well. The food was seasoned and cooked beautifully. The mezcal cocktail we ordered was absolutely delicious. Jorge, Serge, and Daniel were our servers and they went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and special. I would definitely come back and recommends others to visit! read more
