Great location with great food. We haven't eaten inside much but it's nice and clean with a modern/industrial vibe. The pickup option from the app is great and we use it quite often to save a lot of time. Super convenient. The best part of this place is the customization. There's probably 40-50 different toppings you can say yes or no to on your pizza to make your perfect creation (at no additional cost). I also love they have options for gluten free crust and dairy-free cheese (just be warned, the cauliflower crust does have dairy, I found that out the hard way). The staff can be hit or miss. Sometimes they're awesome and friendly, other times they can be in their own world and a little slow to get your order out. I've also noticed that depending on who's working, the pizzas can be bountiful and delicious, or sad and sparse. Would love to see it on the fuller side more consistently. I go to MOD pizzas quite often because they offer dairy-free cheese and I can customize my individual pie with all sorts of wonderful veggies. They're a popular franchise so the workers usually are kind of in a rush, but on this visit at this store our pizza specialist, Paul, was completely attentive. He took his time making our pizzas, was friendly and personable, and made the best MOD Pizzas we've ever had. My wife and I sat out on the patio to eat, and Paul came out to make sure we were satisfied with our order. We opted for one of their already made pizza which was the Calexico, it had chicken, jalapeños, buffalo sauce, red sauce and cheeses. The lady working the pizza line recommended that we added bacon so obviously we werent opposed to it and it was a delicious add on. For salad they had 3 sizes (mini, mod and mega) we got the mega since it was for the 2 of us and I would say it definitely feeds up to 4! I like that they were pretty generous on toppings that you asked for but What I didn't like was the topping options. Usually I go to the machesney location, it's always perfect... the one time I went to this location my pizza was gummy in the middle and obviously burnt on the edges ( I'm assuming the oven was too hot). We went to MOD when it was newly opened. We had to order in the parking lot because they were not letting anybody into the building because of plumbing problems. They didn't really want to explain to us though. So we sat in the car and waited for our pizzas. I got a vegan pizza with the daisy cheese. MOD Pizza is my new favorite pizza place in Rockford. I just discovered MOD Pizza a few days ago and I've already ordered from there twice! I live the super thin, crispy crust and the mildly spicy sausage is the best in town. The range of toppings and sauces are second-to-none. This place is fast! They can make any pizza you like in under 10 minutes. The good thing is that for a fixed price, you can personalize your pizza with any sauce and toppings you want, and don't have to worry about extra toppings being an extra price. The downside is that they really put the toppings on sparingly, so you have to keep telling them to put on more. Also, the crusts are pre-made, so to me the middle tastes a bit undercooked when going through the brick oven. That being said, I like the thin crust because it doesn't fill ypu up and make you feel uncomfortably full like regular or thick crust pizza can.
