After surgery, I developed a seroma and have had severe pain, pressure, and ongoing issues that never should have been brushed off the way they were. I understand no surgery comes with guarantees, but there is a huge difference between a known complication and a doctor who does not meaningfully deal with it when it happens. What has been most disturbing to me is not just the outcome, it's how little accountability there has been. I spent nearly a year trying to handle this privately and reasonably. I asked for help. I asked for resolution. I asked for my records and contract. What did I get? Five photos and a letter basically telling me that he might consider a partial refund only if I removed my review and agreed not to say anything further. That told me everything I needed to know. At that point, it became very clear that Dr. Goldschmidt seemed far more concerned about his reputation and online reviews than about the actual patient sitting in front of him dealing with pain, complications, and a failed result. And yes, I am now looking at revision surgery elsewhere. That is not a small thing. This was not cheap. This was not minor. And this has affected me physically, emotionally, and financially for nearly a full year. Patients deserve to know when a doctor appears more focused on controlling reviews than taking real accountability when something goes wrong. If this is how complications are handled behind the scenes, I think that is deeply concerning, and I do have to wonder how many other patients have been treated this way after the fact. Last April, I had a lift and augmentation with Dr. Goldschmidt, due to me not being happy with how they looked, and I am super happy with the results! This is your body, your temple! Why trust it in the hands of a mediocre surgeon?! Best believe, every single time, I went to the office, I was treated with kindness, and the utmost respect. Oh I almost forgot! Nice guy (and a surgeon?) Does not compute. But it's true!…read more Dr. Hendrickson is the section head of hand surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. He's cross-listed between ortho and plastics and is extremely busy and highly regarded. In my experience both personally and professionally, such physicians typically tend also to hold THEMSELVES in pretty high regard. Not Dr. Hendrickson. This guy is actually a real person who treats others as such. He recently screwed Sean's hand back together. After surgery he and his nurse came out, took me to a private area, and spent at least 5 minutes talking to me about how things went, what to expect, and what to do if there were problems. I was watching other surgeons meet with other families. Not so much. The typical (said hurriedly and in front of the whole waiting room) was, 'everything was good, keep it dry, see you back in a week.' Not with Dr. Hendrickson. It was obvious that he gave a crap about both Sean and I and really took the time to make sure I understood things and had no questions. Same at the first follow-up appointment. Sean's hand is rapidly returning to normal thanks to Dr. H and his team. Truly a class-act and an asset to both the Clinic and the profession. We'd recommend Dr. Hendrickson to anyone in need of his services.

Less than a year later I landed in the hospital with a massive flare up of severe rheumatoid arthritis and 6 months after that I am diagnosed with osteoarthritis and my bone density showed a -3...horrible doctors
