My wife went there on 3/25/25 to have eyelash extensions put in. She came home very unhappy with the results. My wife feels like the lashes are not full enough. She spent 2 hours in the process of getting this done. She also felt like a stranger and the staff seemed unfriendly. Kestley was her beautician and stated she wasn't experienced in applying longer lashes. This should have been expressed to my wife at the beginning, not at the end. My wife feels that she deserves a refund. Not a good experience! read more

I have tried two of their services and am delighted with both. Rachel does the facial hair waxing. She is very thorough, professional, and friendly. I thought I would need to go every two weeks but I am still waiting for the hair to grow back in! The other great experience I had was with Stephanie, the only hair stylist there who does razor cuts. I have impossible hair: thick, coarse, and growing in several different directions. She designed a new hair style for me that works wonderfully with my weird hair. read more

I cannot say enough things about this wonderful place. Lana is my nail tech and she is absolutely amazing. Not only does she do nails perfect or exactly the way I ask her she takes her time and make sure I'm always happy with the end results. I have gotten acrylic put on my paper - thin nails for decades. It prevents them from tearing, up across my nail bed. The application process, however, is difficult for me to sit through because my fingertips are EXTREMELY off - the - charts sensitive! I started coming to Modern Beauty Bar in AUG 2017 to have David do my nails. Don't let the roadside sign fool you. It's very tastefully decorated inside, and everyone is professional, warm and friendly. The vibe is welcoming. David has a wonderful eye for getting my nails straight, and he uses different tips on the machine to reduce my discomfort. (That dark paper grinder is a no go for me!) The silver tips work well and prevent lifting of the acrylic. My set stays on beautifully. Hopefully, he'll show the other nail techs how he does it. More clients might benefit. -E read more

Just be careful if you got o her because you may start expecting every service person in your life to care as much as she does and I'm not sure it's possible! I always go here for my haircuts, because to be honest I'm engaged to one of the hair dressers. But this isn't about her. I'm always greeted with a smile when I go in the door and all of the ladies are always friendly. The fiance convinced me to get a massage by Patty. I was a little hesitant at first cause I'm not a fan of people I barely know touching me, but boy am I glad I did it. I have now seen Rita at Modern Beauty Bar for a facial twice and she is amazing! I am an aesthetician's nightmare, a "human allergy". I am allergic to everything including the sun... Rita was extremely accommodating and very very careful with the products she used, she showed me all of the ingredients and we double checked them. She kept a very close eye on my skin and was very very gentle. Because of my skin ailments and conditions she was also able to work on trouble spots that I have and the results I have seen are amazing! My skin is much smoother and more clear!!! I have been looking for a new hairstylist in Green Valley. Stopped in Modern Beauty Bar. The receptionist was somewhat friendly. I showed her a picture of a cut and color I was interested in, and asked her if she recommended any one of the ppl that worked in the salon. She immediately said nobody would color my hair the way I wanted it. She then said maybe there was 1 person, but she was out to lunch with her husband for her birthday. The she said I already had a cute hairstyle and color and why would I want to change it! She then offered to text "Clover" a pic of my hair now and a pic of what I was wanting and get back with me. 11 min later she text me and "Clover" declined and passed me off to "Rita". 10 min later Rita declined. I am confused. None of them asked me to come in to even look at my hair, maybe make another suggestion???? I believe it is called a consultation?!? Maybe I am wrong.
