There are a mix of people there who come to worship in one kindred Spirit. I am caucasian and my friend is chinese. My Dad was with me too as we were in the area to attend a wedding the following day. We were greeted at the door and by a friendly couple who set in front of us who were from the New Hampshire area not too far from where one of my daughter's live in New Hampshire. The church service starts with am awesome worship team who seem to have hearts to magnify the name of Jesus. I was so encouraged to sing as the words are up on the large screen up front and all seem to be singing to the Lord. We were greeted by others also as there were opportunity during the service. Pastor Gary Domiano was Pastoring during this time as we were attending the english service. We were given an overview of what he was preaching on and continued in the Book of Jonah. Such a fresh new prospective. I would certainly recommend attending this Bible preaching , thought provoking church of wondering people. There was a fellowship following the service which I am sorry to say I didn't have opportunity to stay . I am hoping next time I will certainly be there. Just got a discount deal from living social for the real estate classes in this Queens location…read more The lady from this location claims that the 75 hours real estate sale class I purchased is discounted class, so there is no opening and she doesn't know when there will be an opening. (To my understanding, she just doesn't wanna give me any seat because I am not paying enough) On the same day, my friend purchased the same class in full price automatically got an opening. This is unfair. Seems like this school is only accepting students who pays full price. What confused me alot is that they are listed as one of the location of REEDC available for discount on Living Social, GROUPON... Felt like being scammed. Fortunately, living social is able to give me full refund. Thanks God.

The Italian Charities of America's mission: A human services organization providing services, activities and programs for the benefit of the community. A friend of mine told me she rents a table for the flea market and has been asking me to stop by. For a $25.00 fee, they peddle their wares -- forty to fifty tables full of new and used unique goods, lit by a stunningly beautiful chandelier adorned by four smaller satellite illuminators. The second floor room is beautiful! Classic Italian stately design, form meets function, with thick framed paintings of our pioneering people past, adorning the marble walls with golden sconce highlights. Handbags, leathers, costume jewelry clothing and household items may appeal more to the female persuasion, guys, y'all gotta go check it out anyway -- with your ladies, your buddies or alone, if your single and in the market, you might meet a nice Italian girl. Speaking of which, I met one of the finest woman at the great of the room fronting the Christopher Columbus painting. Marie is the Italian Charities publicist and with her Ad Hoc team, coordinate and promote monthly events from dances to dinners, unfortunately the Easter Italian Dinner was sold out because I had a fist full of greenbacks in hand ready to plunk it down for tickets to attend. It's quite common for Italian people to talk about where their family is from back in the old country. She and her family are Barese, my family being Genoa -- we kick butt in ship building and stuffed ravioli. The building has crystal chandeliers, Italian tchotchkes in glass cases, some articles and other bits of history. There's an elevator to the upstairs banquet hall if you can't use the small staircase, and this was where the flea market was. It mainly seemed to be people selling things they no longer wanted, costume jewelry, books, glassware, clothes - one lady did manage to find a stunning fur coat. They apparently hold Saturday night dances, I saw a flyer for one advertising Latin & Italian oldies, classics, and Top 40 from 8pm-12am with food, coffee, tea, dessert, and alcohol. I would love to see the crowd that comes out for that! This is a community center, so you can rent space or give money to various fundraisers they hold, all in all it's a great local resource.

Mega Academy is the pinnacle of a money grab, experts at swindling money from parents trying to build a better figure for their children. Inherently, there's nothing wrong with prep school, but Mega Academy is notoriously known for being one of the most expensive in Flushing, when there's truly no justification for it. The premium you pay for this school comes with below average to mediocre teachers, practice exams/homework photocopied from books you can buy on eBay, and quite frankly an elitist attitude from management. I will never forget the time one of the owners brought in a former mega student and TA, boasting about how he managed to get a job at UBS, as some sort of motivation to high school kids who didn't even know what a derivative or M&A was. I managed to sink hours of my life into this place, learning little to nothing. My parent's wages were spent on photocopied homework that was reviewed the next day by your average DOE high school teacher who might've been your math teacher a few weeks prior. No, your premium doesn't pay for the cream of the crop. It pays for the house and cars of the owners. Rest assured any success I have experienced post-college will never be attributed to Mega Academy. Maybe the best thing to come out of this place were the friends I made, but if I just wanted my kids to socialize, I would've sent them anywhere else.
