We were a first time home buyer, new to the whole process and decided to sign our contract with them in October of 21. Our estimated time of completion was 10 months from the start of construction. Land clearing began at the end of December and construction began shortly thereafter. We met with our Superintendent Robert who was friendly, experienced and always readily available to answer any and all questions. As with any construction project there are going to be differences of opinions and discrepancies along the way. All issues were handled by the Director of Operations or the owner Adam quickly and professionally. We needed to be in our home by September and decided to go ahead and close even though we still had 20+ items on the punch list (some that were pretty big items) that still needed to be addressed. Over the next 30 days Robert , our superintendent, made sure all items were complete and worked around my work schedule to get them done. Overall we had a great experience and love our home!! He is very giving of his time, knowledge, and is the most collaborative of the 3 Architects we have used on the 2 other custom homes we have built. As an example, even before we signed a contract he made multiple site visits to give us his friendly professional insight about several lots we were considering before we selected the property we ultimately purchased. He was extremely accommodating and friendly throughout the entire process. Collaboration is his priority from the beginning and he made it very convenient through the use of screen share as we designed the home together. We were really impressed with the architectural 3D model that Daniel created. It was amazing that we were able to have a computer-generated 3D model to visualize the complete exterior as well as the outdoor entertaining, outdoor kitchen, and the pool and spa area. We were able to have the majority of our meetings in the evenings after we got off work and we even did a screen share to collaborate on our laptop while we were out of town visiting family. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about both the architectural and contractual aspects of building, but he seems to have a great instinct for what the client is looking achieve. He also had the desire to study alternatives and create several layouts that might make the most sense for the lifestyle we described. He requested a copy of my trust agreement (revocable trust), and I mentioned that I did not recall providing it previously. Instead of clarifying the necessity, he immediately dismissed me for safeguarding my personal identifiable information (PII). I promptly followed up and provided the trust agreement after he stated they would not move forward without it. Now, after I entrusted him with sensitive information, he has ignored me. This reflects unprofessional and unethical behavior. You have the right to ask questions and verify the necessity of any requested documents before sharing your PII with a stranger.

I'm still very happy to have my first new home but I went from 5 stars down to 4 stars mainly due to lack of customer service afterwards. Some key points: no closing costs, appliances come with the house, multiple layout plans, simple paperwork, easy. In the process of buying a home! Understand that if you income isn't in a certain bracket you will not get the 0% down loan. We fully researched the area, company, and website which has all the floor plans online, as well as drove through the community. Finally came in to learn more, they ran our info/credit to make sure we qualified. Smart, why give info if you don't even qualify! JASON WILLIAMSON is very informative, very detailed on material, warranty, and home building. Of course he is a salesman, hyped up alot of normal housing points but didn't rush my fiance and I, gave us multiple times alone to discuss our ideas and questions before proceeding. There are 9 of us trying to arbitrate because of this lie that they told all of us and Brookfield is trying to say that we cannot. They lied, we paid extra money, and they will not refund us our money. If you want to live in this neighborhood, buy a house that has already been built and corrected (because you do need A LOT of things fixed when you first move in and it takes forever). Also, since it is already built, you know exactly what you are getting without being lied to. Again, - nice people... horrible builder.

We were later told that the actual issue was related to our water and that we would need a water softener--not the water heater itself. I have this assessment in writing from them. When I confronted the company about the fact that we had replaced an expensive tankless water heater without solving the underlying problem, they stopped responding to my messages and failed to follow up altogether. To make matters worse, during one of their visits to inspect the water heater, a significant leak occurred from above the unit and caused damage to my flooring. Mistakes can happen, but what is most disappointing is the lack of accountability and communication afterward. I gave them multiple opportunities to respond and address the situation before writing this review. Unfortunately, once I raised concerns about the unnecessary replacement and the damage to my home, communication essentially stopped. Given the cost involved and the property damage that occurred, I expected a much higher level of professionalism, transparency, and follow-through.
