I'd originally been told by my dentist that I had a canker sore, but Dr. Brown identified it correctly as a cyst. She explained everything thoroughly during my consultation, which helped put me at ease. The patient registration process was detailed, especially regarding medications--something I really appreciated since I have certain allergies. That level of care meant so much to me. On surgery day, once I was numbed up, I was good to go--LOL! Dr. Brown kept checking on me throughout the procedure. I felt completely safe and cared for, and her assistant was equally attentive. The follow-up was excellent, too. I received a call today asking how I was feeling. I mentioned the soreness, which was expected, and that I'd be sleeping in the recliner for a few days, skipping my CPAP for a bit. I have the highest regard for Dr. Akeyla Brown and her entire staff. To make things worse, when I asked to speak to the doctor to discuss her behavior the doctor told me "You're not the first one who is complaining about her but it's hard to find employees so we can't do much about it" I will not be getting my treatment from this office or recommending this office to anyone who expects to be treated with basic courtesy and respect.

Doctor even called me last night to make sure I was doing well and settled my mind over what I thought was excessive bleeding. Not at all. They are very thorough and the office runs smoothly. Appointments are flexible and thankfully never have to wait too long. Next comes the process of getting an implant and I'm positive it'll be as delightful as it could possibly be. I sat on this review for several months because I was so put off by the behaviors of several of the…read morestaff but I think people need to be advised. In February 2025, I developed horrible tooth/gum pain. My previous dentist stopped taking my insurance & failed to tell me this until I called about an outrageous bill. The next dentist in my area wasn't taking patients for two weeks. I contacted this office (of oral surgery) & was told that Dr. Rannucci was on vacation but his partner oral surgeon was there & I could make an appointment. I specifically asked the young lady on the phone if he not only "pulled teeth" but if he also did general dentistry & she assured me that "he does everything" so I made my appointment. The appointment was for the next day, and early in the morning. I was there on time but imagine my surprise when I spent 20 mins of my "appointment time" listening to the hygienist (a middle aged Caucasian woman with straight dark hair mixed with gray) & the oral surgeon (believe his name is Cappetta.) talking about me & how they would not be able to handle my "care" unless it was to do an extraction. I guess they thought tooth pain made me lose my hearing also. Anyway, they called me to the window & the oral surgeon was pretty dismissive & borderline rude. There was a little back and forth because I was given false information. If he didn't do "general dentistry" and he kept saying I needed a referral. (According to my dental plan I do not need a referral to go to any practice.) why is his office staff stating he does. They wasted my time & I had to both take a day off of work AND get there for before 8am. Ultimately he suggested I go to my old dentist and get a referral but ended up giving me the name of two dentists in my plan that I could call & telling me that after I see them, if I need oral surgery I can "come back here". They couldn't even give me the courtesy of calling those dentists and seeing if they could squeeze me in, due to my high level of pain. I ended up leaving because there was nothing else to do. Also I want to mention that the day I made the appointment I was told I HAD to give a $100 deposit just to see them. Which I did but I made them refund my money. All the while the young lady at the reception desk did my refund request she was smirking. This review may have never happened if I hadn't spoken to my best friend and she tell me she ALSO had a poor customer experience with this office and that same surgeon. She also knows of two additional people that experienced the same. So clearly, this is a pattern. I would sincerely recommend thinking long and hard about coming here unless you like to be mishandled by a doctors office. Sort of a buyer beware situation This is why I do not and would never recommend this office.
