The doctor did a decent job with pulling out my teenager's wisdom teeth, but he honestly is reluctant to answer questions in order to help the patient (and parent) understand the procedure or, frankly, make it easier. The most polite way that I could phrase it is that he has no bedside manner. If I had it to do over as a parent, I would have sought out a different doctor. read more

Dr. Lynn and the whole team at Riverside Oral in Livingston are awesome. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed which I was procrastinating for 7 years due to fear and nervousness. They eased my nervousness by making me feel extra comfortable and also making me laugh. They were very accommodating and answered all of my 1000 questions. The team is very knowledgeable in procedures, recovery etc. Dr Lynn is very caring and down to earth. He also is very knowledgeable, charismatic and pretty much tells you exactly what to expect for your procedure. The day I had my consultation he was very honest and explained I might have minor complications in my bottom teeth but he will do his best to overcome them if possible. After surgery, I realized he minimized any major issues and removed all 4 teeth, with just stitches on one side. I pretty much have minor pain and swelling thanks to his expertise. I went to Riverside for extracting 4 wisdom teeth without sedation. It was a very positive experience. I am a relative durable person for pain, it is still a little bit tough for the last 2 shots before surgery, but that is unavoidable for such surgery. The following surgery was very smooth and quick for about 40 minutes, I was ready to jump out from the surgery seat. (that is why I like no sedation) Dr. Shawn is very professional and I have no doubt his acumen and expertise can greatly relieve discomfort and the gift set was warm with more than enough things you need 24 hours after the surgery. All in all, I highly recommend Dr. Shawn and his team and this is definitely an awesome experience! read more

I accompanied my daughter for a tooth extraction, although the initial intake was a positive experience, the post patient care was, in my opinion, extremely negligent. First, they prescribed an antibiotic she was allergic to, despite that it was listed on her paperwork. Good thing the pharmacist caught it and called for a substitute. Second, my daughter was so sick from the anesthesia, that even the dentist commented that she looked green and hooked her up to a drip, We eventually left with her being led by me as she couldn't open her eyes for dizziness. Third, from the substitute medication, she developed 3 stomach ulcers. Fourth, when I called the office to ask why they never called to inquire about post surgical , their response was that she only had a tooth pulled. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND this practice to anyone. read more

I went to Dr. Lynn today for a tooth extraction. I felt absolutely no pain and I was amazed. The dental assistant was very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend Dr Lynn. Just got my wisdom teeth removed, and it couldn't have been a better experience. I was a bit nervous coming in, especially of the possibility of a dry socket. Dr. Lynn and his team were both comedic and reassuring, helping me get my mind off the stress but ensuring that I was in good hands. During the entire procedure, Dr. Lynn checked to make sure that I was comfortable, and was willing to take a break whenever I needed it. All in all the process took just over half an hour even with drilling and stitches involved. After the operation, the team gave me a rundown of the prescriptions they'd be writing and the necessary care that comes with wisdom tooth extraction. In addition, Dr. Lynn was happy to answer any questions I had about the procedure. I cannot recommend this practice enough. read more

She is usually extremely anxious when it comes to blood, surgery and even only seeing needles.
