I came in to have my nails done with my two daughters. The salon was very busy so I signed in and said I would come back later so they weren't rushed. I came back and they took care of us very quickly. All of us wanted a manicure and polish. Pretty simple- unfortunately not--- the experience was less than enjoyable. I had recently removed my dip and shared my nails were sensitive. Throughout my manicure she was very rough, to the point I was verbally saying it hurt and pulling my hand away. The more I verbalized it, the rougher she got. I eventually quit saying anything and was just looking forward to it being over. Well- I thought the pain was the worst of it but I walked out and truly think my 5 year old could have done a better job painting nails. The polish immediately bubbled and in less than 24 hours chipped. I would return to the salon to have it fixed but I am now traveling to a work meeting looking like a child did my nails and with $100 less in my pocket. This was the worst experience I've had at a nail saloon. Pam did my nails. I got a dip service and she put the wrong color. She tried to insist that I picked the wrong color until the lady that gave me the color chart showed her that I didn't pick the color she put on my nails. So she said she would fix it. She just covered it with regular polish and not the dip. I left feeling very angry. My nails start chipping the next day. I called and Pam told me to come back. When I got there she was extremely rude distracted with phone calls, taking payments and greeting customers. That wad yesterday and my nails are chipping already. I will never go back there and if you read this do yourself a favor and find another shop. Don't go there Pam and her staff are rude. Inexperienced and do the worst work. There are a lot of good salons out there but modern nails is not one of them. I will continue to inform the public of this disservice Please find another salon. read more

I wanted my acrylics removed and was talked into the 'dip' to help my frail nails. The service was slow, the price was high, and I spent $40 to look like I have leprosy. They are also not clean in practice. If anything is sterilized- I didn't see any evidence. At one point the lady in charge opened her sterilizer to find a pencil. read more

I always go to LA Nails Brentwood Towne center but came here to get just a fill since they are open on Sunday which is nice. Pam did my nails she was nice and knew what she doing. She did them quickly too which was great. However the price was steep: $25 + tip FOR A regular FILL! Not only that but one hand was almond shaped nails and the other....not so much. So $30 later I got just a regular fill with regular polish. OUCH. Save yourself $12 & go to LA Nails instead. read more

I have been going here for years ... you get what you pay for. My nails always look fantastic and the owner follows all COVID guidelines!! At a time like this , I feel very comfortable and at ease getting my nails done. Everyone has their own materials and are kept in a box with your name and after your pedicure they give you the file, and any tool they use for you to take home. First of all, this is the first review I have ever given on this subject because I am in the cosmetology business and I really don't like to judge someone else's work. If I could give a "0" star i would. After seeing these other 1 star reviews I can see why I felt the way i did when i left this place. The one with the red hair in the first chair, i'm assuming she was the manager, not only sat there with an awful nasty scowl on her face the entire time, she was rude and started questioning me immediately as to where i got my nails done before and why didn't i come there. I live 30 minutes away and just happened to be in the area. She went extremely fast and HEAVY with the dremmel and at a high speed which was hurting my fingers. I said "ouch" quite a few times and the look on her face was mean and strange. After about 8 fingers of being hurt i pulled my hand back and she looked at me with that face again like i was the crazy one and i said HEY!!! Don't get mad at me you are hurting my fingers with that file. AGAIN that nasty LOOK. I have been getting my nails done since 1987 and i can say i have never, and i mean never had a nail tech treat me like this or hurt my fingers this much and then give me a dirty look for pulling my hand away because of PAIN . Maybe she needs to be in another business if she's so unhappy. I just needed a manicure and a polish. The woman who did my nails made me bleed, but apologized for it. I listened to her tell me her whole life story. She's been through a lot. I didn't have to wait at all, but there were two thing ladies who walked in that had a long wait because a woman made a 6pm appt. So if you don't make an appt you may have to wait a while. They have great selections in color for regular and gel polish. They had at least 6 women working. They're prices are reasonable. I will still continue to go to my regular spot for gel and pedicures because the prices are better and the customer service is better. The shop itself was decorated nicely. They have 6 nail stations up front (3 on each side) and 6 chairs for pedicures towards the back of the shop. There is a drying station towards the door. All in all, if you need something smoke and you have a few minutes to wait then try it out! read more

Will never go back again. Waited over an hour for a pedicure, sat in a broken chair and still left a tip. Polish came off of 4 of my toes in less than a day. Called and said they would fix it. I've been going here for a few years. It's convenient to me and I normally get an ok pedicure depending on the person. The last few times I've went it's been a waste of time and money. I go as a treat to myself, but I'm stressed watching them hurt my toes. It was obvious the lady had no idea what she was doing. I just moved to the area and decided in early December to have my acrylics put back on. I went in and the girl who did my nails argued with me about putting it on bc my nails were too nice. I told her it was what I wanted. When I was done, my nails were completely uneven (thick in some places, thin in others), the nail polish was all over my nail beds, and less than a week later had started to chip off. I went back to them and Pam had me sit down, and she redid them. Only charged me for a color change. Went back in before Christmas to have a fill, and I got the lady who did them the first time. This time I asked for gel color. They are all uneven again, polish all over my nail beds, and less than a week later have now started to break again. I got there at 11 am Sunday morning (I actually just left I am so mad) first one through the door. I got the bums rush from the second I sat down in the chair! The "technician" had me put my foot in ice cold water, then pulled it out. I am talking less than 30 seconds and started trimming my nails! She was in such a rush she even cut the cuticle of my toe near the base of my nail to the point she had to put that blue gel on it to stop it from bleeding! The salt scrub again, less than 30 seconds. Quiet literally a swipe up and a swipe down. The block scrub to remove dead skin? Maybe a minute. I even pointed out there was still dead skin on my heels, she said she doesn't do that! The leg message, yeah no. She put the lotion on rubbed up and down each leg maybe three times, rinse. Dried my feet off, put on one coat of color, no clear coat or anything and I was done in 25 minutes! Never in my life have I ever had a pedicure done in 25 minutes. Went in on a Saturday wanting just a fill and a nail repair. Waiting 15 minutes not bad for just a walk in. I will never go back or tell anyone To go there. All the technicians talked to one another. No conversation. My nails look horrible, shorter than what I said I wanted. I have never been so cut up on my cuticles and even underneath my finger. How does that even happen?! My whole cuticle on evey nail is cut up. My nails aren't even, some are flat and some are wavy and bulky. Lady couldn't even finish my nails so she pushed me to another technician. I had an awful experience today, I will never go back! I went in today and wanted acrylic only over my real nails. I had pretty long nails except for my pinky nails which had broke. First I told her I didn't want tips or nail glue because the glue gives me a reaction I only wanted acrylic. She continued to pull out the tips and glue, I had to tell her again no I only want acrylic. Another lady came over explaining to her what I was saying because she wasn't understanding. Then she started filing my real nails all the way down and I told her to stop I just want acrylic. She started to shap them round without asking what I wanted, I tried telling her square but she just shookher head. She did the acrylic then shaped them again without asking. I told her no I wanted square but it was too late. The other lady came back and just took over, redoing all of my nails. She had to add acrylic to them shaping them back to square and lengthening them again. Once she started filling she realized my pinky was bleeding and put some cleaner on it. There was blood on the nail file, that she just put away after she was done. She finished and then the original lady took over again only having to buff and paint. She took the buffer to my already sore and bleeding pinky making it even worse and it started bleeding really bad! Again blood on the buffer too, she just put back and didn't throw away. She asked me to go wash my hands. I had to keep the cloth towel applying pressure to stop the bleeding. She asked for $25 before she painted, which I did. (I probably shouldn't have) she painted my nails then walked me over to the drying lamp. I gave her my towel and told her there was blood all over it. (I'm pretty sure she didn't throw it away or even wash her hands). I was so angry at this point I just left. I returned within the hour, I spoke to the 2nd lady who did my nails. Within the hour I was gone, I realized she had nicked 3 other fingers, the acrylic was not even, the polish did not evenly cover, I had bubbles in the paint, I was just not at all satisfied and my pinky hurt so bad! I asked for my money back and she refused saying they had spent their time and it wasn't fair to give me my money back since I paid and left it meant I was satisfied. She offered to give me a free fill the next, I told her no because I will not be coming back. She still refused and told me I had to speak to the owner. Not once did I get an apology, she only gave me excuses saying it was my fault because my nails were too short! Horrible customer service !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, I have come to this nail salon about three times. On busy weekdays and on a Sunday. They blatantly ignored me and skipped over me for services. I believe that these Asian women are racist and the manager is old enough to remember the end of the Vietnam War and how her people got the monopoly of the nail salon business. They should not judge a customer who is in gym clothes rather than her expensive suits when I am teaching. You may assume that I do not have enough money for your business and a decent tip but if I am in Pleasant Hills you could probably imagine that I can afford it. I've had it with this place. I only use them when I'm visiting from Vegas and I realize my girl in Vegas goes above and beyond for me, however this place is horrible! Worst salon ever! My sisters and I went in yesterday and I have literally never had a worse pedicure or left angrier from a salon before. Half of their chairs are broken, they refuse to make the water at all hot, and they just go through the motions of the pedicure- they literally didn't scrub at all and we all still have feet that seem like hey haven't been worked on in months. Meanwhile he ladies are all so nasty, making horrible snide comments in both English and another language, clearly making fun of all the customers the entire time and just being nasty the whole time. Will never go back. I have gone twice. Both times I have waited at least 30 minutes. I don't even get a greeting. Just "what you need?". I know its hard these days but is it too much too ask for someone doing my nails to not be on there cell phone while doing my nails? I felt like the lady doing my nails was just trying to finish quickly and did a poor job. I could barely understand her the few times she talked to me saying "go wash" and "what color?". I guess I just expect a little more courtesy. Another thing I noticed is that they use the same nail files, sanding blocks, buffers, etc. as the person before me. I realize that it would be expensive to use a new one for each new customer, but that just seems very unsanitary to me if there is no way to clean these between customers. I have never written a review before. I have read many and should have read the reviews before coming here. First my foot was scalded when I put it in the soaking tub. I have never had this happen and I'm 63 years old and have had hundreds of pedicures. Then as I sat down to get a manicure I was told that there was a $5.00 charge to remove my gel since I declined to have a gel manicure this time and wanted a regular manicure. I went to this place SEVERAL times and the did a great job with plenty of workers on hand to handle customers. I thought I had finally found a great nail spot. Customer service is THE WORST! The ladies that work there are always rude and have an attitude. I have been getting my nails done there for a few months because it is close to my house. Last time was my final visit ever! I made an appointment even though they are walk in "welcome". The girl that answer the phone asked if I could come a little earlier. Since my appointment was at 6 and it was already 5:28 I told her I would leave now and should be there in about 10-15 minutes. She said that was good. When I arrived at 5:45 on the dot I was greeted with cold stares. At first I thought this was because they didn't know that I had an appointment. When I told her who I was and that I had called she suggested I just get polished. When I said again that I needed a fill and that I called she had the nerve to say... You said you would be here in 10 minutes but you took longer... WHAT THE HELL!! Then she acted so put off that I was there I just said forget it and left. I am tired of putting up with their attitudes and disrespectful demeanor. When you go there you will be ignored as they all talk in their native language back and forth.. I gave this place so many chances thinking it was just a bad day for them but it was never any better even after being a "loyal" customer I still got treated like dirt!
