These photographers are awful and the rules they have to follow make it even worse. They don't…read morecheck the pics to see if they are level, so the baseboard in the back is always crooked. They don't take multiple shots of one pose either, so if it's a pose you wanted and anything is off that's it. They should be snapping away to get natural shots of young children smiling, but they don't want to waste their time waiting on you to look through the pics. They cut off hair, feet and other parts. How hard is it to stand back and get a full shot. They just have no experience and the only training they get is in upselling photo packages. I really hate that they force you to pick 2 backgrounds, so be prepared. This studio in particular is REALLY dirty. The backgrounds have stains, the baseboard has stains and once you view your photos at home you can tell. You can't tell from their monitor. The TV for kids doesn't work. Why can't they clean and get the tv to work so children can watch a movie while they wait for you to look through the photos. At least remove it and put a chair in its place. Only go here if you are desperate for some cheap shots. Don't believe their sales lines when they say oh this is soo adorable, that's precious, this is a good one. Most of the poses they have kids do suck. Your kid isn't even smiling and they will say it's a good one. Just tell them no. Trust your gut that the pics suck and just get the 1 or 2 you really want.

Heirloom portraits are more of a southern thing so I sent her inspiration pictures for reference. She said she could do it so I ended up booking her for a session. She had tons of props and outfits to choose from. We decided to go the simpler route and opted for no props with a simple white background. The session ended up being 15 minutes (she said she got THE shot). After about a week, Cristal sent me a soft proof gallery with about 75 photos to choose from. I picked my 12 and texted her feedback on the ones I wanted more/less cropped. She also nailed the vignette on the heirloom portraits; it was exactly what I was looking for! She sent me a second gallery with my 12 picks, also including them in B&W and different editing styles (34 total). Cristal had great communication, and will go above and beyond to make sure you love your pictures! I would highly recommend her if you live in the IE area. One tiny note, 4 photos have a faint line at the top. It looks like the editing filter wasn't taken all the way up. With that being said, not the end of the world and would gladly book her again.

We booked our appointment in mid September & although there were little to almost no blooms and the landscape was changing Diane's color choices and style were perfect. What I really liked was the affordability of her packages. Although I believe it is available for one stop shopping she doesn't require you to purchase prints. Which can take the price upwards of $2k not including the sitting fee. Her photos are not cheap by any means. Her eye for posing new borns is impeccable. The mama & daddy pics are beautiful. Her capturing the family at this special moment is a must!!! Start a Baby Photo Fund for the new mom in your family. Everyone can chip in and the new parents will love it. When our original plans of shooting at a park fell through, Jason suggested the LA Arboretum instead. We spent a few hours there with him and it was a really fun, laid back time. We chose Melanie, a wonderful photographer in Riverside, and ran our idea by her, which was to go hiking through the forest/creeks, even getting IN the water.
