At least at this place I can spoil, without the guilt of breaking our budget, I love it! Bright, clean, fresh, organized, good quality clothes and even better selection! Finally Yucaipa has a new children's resale store! Modern Totz is adorable, friendly, clean, very good quality clothes and the most important part for mamas like me, affordable. The owners at Modern Totz are amazing people! They always greet me with a smile and a hello. They haven't treated me like a number once. We always have great conversations while we are there. They are both sweethearts and it is always a pleasure to go there, weather to buy or consign, they make me feel like an old friend rather than just a customer. They have an awesome selection of clothes, shoes, toys, hair accessories, baby items ( activity mats, bouncers, strollers, pack n plays) these items are not tired, beat up. These items are brand new looking and high end name brands at that! My first trip was awesome, so much so, I came back again in the same week! This store is remarkable in every aspect. I have been to Modern Totz multiple times since they opened and and have to say that this is the best children's consignment store in Riverside County! Unfortunately, once a business begins to do well and becomes successful you will encounter many people (most likely competition), post reviews that are obviously erroneous, fallacious and downright rude. It's unfortunate, however I guess it comes with the territory once a business becomes successful. Both Shayna and Nate display all the positive attributes that are required to run a successful business. They are both extremely hard-working and treat every customer with respect and admiration. Came here today with my mother and 2 kids and bought two outfits and what I liked most was the guy was helpful. And he seemed honest. I heard him tell another customer that they'd just be wasting their money right now because their child was to young or old for the item and he recommended something else. He also offered to look up a weight limit for a carrier I was interested in. I wish something like this shop was around when I had my first child would have saved me tons of money. Great little place to find quality secondhand baby items! Found all the things I needed in 5 minutes flat, and prices were more than reasonable. Found a like-new BrightStarts swing for $30 (fabric material was immaculate, only some scuffing on the actual swing), a Chicco KeyFit 30 car seat for $35, and a sea-themed crib bedding set (priced at $32 but green-tagged for half off). Spent $100 on what would have been close to a $400 trip to a department store. The owner greeted us and said if we had any questions about anything to please let her know, and when it was all said and done she helped my grandmother and I load the bulky swing into my tiny Kia Soul. Now I am on the hunt for a decent pack and play and have my Grandmother looking to find it as she drives by the shop everyday to babysit. Great finds & Great Prices! I went to find some shorts for my god son. Owner seemed preoccupied which is fine but they didn't have much of a selection. I mentioned this to him and he just mentioned not a lot of people have a good boy selection. I realize what retail price is and that they aren't selling it for that but $4 for a pair of cotton baby shorts seemed high. I found some at another store for .99 which is awesome. I have over the years shopped at this store regularly for my grandchild. The last couple of times I thought the final price was different than what I bought so I found the receipt but couldn't compare prices to receipt because the price tags had been removed from items so I went back again and same thing. Hands down the best consignment boutique I've been to. I've bought clothes for my kids and sold clothes through them and each transaction was very smooth. The owners are so genuine and helpful. I appreciate the brands they carry and how it's not just a consignment store it's a small boutique as well. I got to grab my littlest some really awesome handmade headbands with matching bibdanas.
