This is the first time Yelping a police department. I'm conflicted on this because I hold law…read moreenforcement at such high regard. I do think that this PD has areas of opportunities to improve. For example. I was in a three car accident in town. It's not a large town and I don't know the number of officers on staff nor the number of calls they receive. I was told the day of my accident I would have the report within 7 - 10 days. Ok that is fair. I wait two weeks. I'm currently working with Insurance, Medical Bills, a lawyer, etc. all of which need the information. I go over to the PD and it's not ready. I was told to call back next week. So I wait another week and a half, so I call and it's not ready. A few more days go by so I leave a message for the officer on his voicemail to contact me on when it might get finished. I never received a call back. I realize it's not a major crime but my life has been disrupted and I need to give information to other parties. Long story... date of the Accident was 9/23/18 today is 11/7/18, and I was just able to get the report. As I'm waiting for the copy of the report I see the sign hanging that says it will take ten days which I included in my post. Again, I think this is fairly glaring. All I really needed was done communication back. It's pretty disappointing actually. My rating could be a lot lower but I respect the jobs of police and what they do.

I called Stanislaus County Free Library and inquired about getting an earlier appointment. The guy who was helping me said it's best to call in the morning and check for cancellations. I asked if he had anything available that day and he did!! So I was able to get in at 3:30pm. He was very helpful. I called again and had questions on what to bring to appointment and the lady who answered this time was very nice as well! So I went to my appointment and Lisa helped me. She was very friendly and super helpful. The whole process was very easy. I will definitely be back to this location to get my passport.

Small town with not a lot going on or places worth coming here for as a regular resident or…read moreexploring. Leonardo's is the best place to eat. And you can find a couple of estate/antique stores in town which are decently priced and the owners are super nice. Great town to stop for a bit to eat and maybe walk around and take photos with your friends/family in certain green areas or orchards, but other than that: small town.
