After further investigation, I was able to confirm that there are, in fact, swing sets available for children to swing on. Splinter Warning!!: I must mention that this park has wood chips instead of sand under the play structures. This is a splinter waiting to happen so make sure you bring medical supplies if you or your family are splinter sensitive (SS). There is a parking lot adjacent to this park that I assume is the location they want people to park when visiting the park. I also saw baseball fields behind this park. The new Community Center is enormous, and the landscaping is beautiful. You can set up your event here or just come to a relaxing. It is currently open from 9 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday only. Saturday and Sunday are closed. The cafe next to the main entrance has outdoor seating. You can enjoy a cup of coffee or some snacks there. This is a lovely area to visit when you're in Elk Grove.

My interview was going great until I mentioned I was Catholic, the ladies that interviewed me gave me a weird look and then said that my strong religious beliefs didn't aline with the position. They then had the audacity to ask me if I would volunteer with no pay. So basically my religion was an issue for me to get paid an hourly wage but it was okay if my services were free. So disappointing because until then I always felt positive about the Salvation Army.
