(Initial review) Initially when Alex first gets your business, they seem responsive and even tells me about how shoddy of a job the previous flooring people did in my home (fixed by previous owners). But the moment any small issues come up, Alex just ghosts his customers. In the video you can see the cracks happening under normal body weight. I really wanted to believe that at the very least he and his team will try to provide any rectification, even if it's just to come out again to check on the floor to see what else can be done, like I wouldn't even have mind paying an additional small fee for materials. Instead, since he has been fully paid, he won't even see the project to the end to make sure he delivers on quality work. Besides price, our other priority was a company that did not use subcontractors, and SoCal Roofing only uses their own employees, so we felt confident moving forward with them after checking out some of the previous homes they'd worked on. From quote to install, the project went very smoothly. They were quick to respond to any questions we had, and the full roof replacement was done in about three days. Timing couldn't have been better, since we got several days of rain a few days after the install, so it was the perfect time to "test" the roof to make sure there weren't any leaks. We were solid. Among all the businesses we've worked with for other upgrades to our home, we can honestly say that SoCal Roofing is one of the only ones where we have felt 100% confident in the work that they did. Only negative, there is a male worker there (don't think he was Asian, maybe Hispanic, had dark facial hair, wearing a cap) that was following me and asking me if I needed help multiple times. (This was on 2 separate visits). But then it got creepy and inappropriate on my last visit when he asked for my phone number and put his hand on my arm. Clearly flirting, saying things like "pretty girl." Although his English was not perfect I understood his intentions and body language. I picked it up that afternoon for my installer to have the next day. It was absolutely magical and the most amazing experience I have ever had with anything on this project. Anyone that has lived through a renovation knows that things go wrong all the time, but this experience and Alexis' professionalism, accountability, and abilities are bar none the best! Several of the existing tiles on the floor were apparently no longer being made (so why still have them on the floor?), the store stopped doing custom tiles with specific colors (which sadly were the exact colors we were looking for). We finally ordered custom tiles, which cost a lot of money and took some time to deliver. We ended up not liking how they looked so we put them elsewhere on the property. The overall experience was so poor that even though Mission Tile West is *THE* place to go for stunning tiles for your special project, but try to pair up with recommended service people from other reviews here.
