Very nice folks. Went to doctors on call at Wailea shops because I had gotten cut up on the coral and black rock at the beach. They looked at me there and they cleaned me up and they prescribed me antibiotic. Literally two minutes after I left they called me and told me I needed to get a tetanus shot. And then they closed. So I could not get it there. So I went over here and they gave me one right away and gave me a discount since I had already been seen clinically. Only downside is they don't take insurance and so you do have to go out of pocket and get reimbursed. But they are very nice and it's very worth it if you need help. Because they are open long hours and have a really nice staff. read more

I called the office to get an ultrasound and though the tech was on the Big Island I needed to fly to Maui. I booked flights paid 1k for a hotel and went to my appointment. When I got there the front desk was trying to send me somewhere else. I said it's a basic ultrasound. They finally let the provider complete the ultrasound. I was told my results would be sent. I have yet to receive and when I ask they are holding them hostage. I was a cash payer and this seems completely fraudulent practices! The Dr. Reza Danesh should not practicing! I have been here numerous times. Physical for my teenager to play sports for school, coming in to check if my child had walking pneumonia, as well as the fun bio-hacking opportunities they have. My family and I were in Wailea when my son came down with symptoms of headache, body pain, fever, and deliriousness that worsened as the evening wore on. Thankfully, we went to Modo and were seen by Dr. Stephanie, nurse Britt, and nurse Shantel who assured us that our son was ok and gave us peace of mind. We came back the next day for an electrolyte/vitamin IV and my son was back to normal. A few days later, our daughter started having flu like symptoms and throat pain and we were taken care of by PA Andy who was kind, thorough, and also took wonderful care of us. Not only was the facility clean, but the people were kind and friendly. They made our children (and us) feel at ease and followed up even days later on how our kids were. This is an amazing company. We have used them a number of times, each time we received incredible care. On one visit, our 2 year old needed stitches on his chin. The doctor on call offered to stitch up our son, but also gave us the option to have a plastic surgeon come to stitch him up. MODO MD arranged for a plastic surgeon to come to our son while they provided him with juice and stickers and a comfortable room to wait in. It was amazing, the whole team there made this difficult and stressful situation as good as it could possibly be be. Another time, our daughter was throwing up, and they did and incredible job assessing her, which included an ultrasound on the spot as well as a urine culture among other things. We did not have to drive her around to different labs, Honestly, we have never received such incredible care anywhere. We love MODO MD and would recommend them to anyone. read more

Our daughter's friend was having jaw and tooth pain & numbness and inflammation/swelling in her gums and lower lip for 2 days before we picked her up from OGG. We took her to an urgent care in Lahaina in the morning yesterday and the doctor misdiagnosed her symptoms and prescribed drugs and a mouthwash for gingivitis without even looking in her mouth. It was my mistake for not double checking to make sure she had written the prescription for an antibiotic. We filled the script she had written and had our friend's daughter take the drugs as directed but her symptoms progressed and worsened throughout the day. We went back to their office an hour before their listed closing time but the doctor had already left for the day. That ended up being a blessing in disguise as we were forced to drive an hour south to Kihei and found an outstanding emergency room physician at MODO. We were able to get the forms filled out for her online on our way there, and our daughter's friend was admitted, examined and treated immediately as she had 102° fever and her swelling had worsened. She was given IV vitamin C, zinc, magnesium, and a first round of antibiotics. Her lower gums were numbed so that the doctor could take some samples to send out for biopsy as he was concerned about her physical appearance & symptoms of inflammation/ swelling and her fever. She felt better within the hour and was released with a second antibiotic that was admitted there in addition to a dental referral. The doctor also said that the lab results would come back in two days time and would inform us of what was found. It was incredibly refreshing to find such an outstanding, caring physician on Maui. I was able to get a fast and easy telehealth visit when I sprained my ankle and a referral to a close by imaging center instead of having to go to the hospital! Got taken care of immediately and every single person treated us so well and made sure I was comfortable with everything going on. Our daughter woke up with lower back pain and a burning sensation. We initially thought it was a pinched nerve. We went to MODO. The check in process with extremely easy. The staff was extremely welcoming, and everybody introduced themselves by name. The physicians assistant came into the room. Her name is Stephanie Luca. She was thorough. She asked many questions and gave us medications based on the assessment that it may be muscular in origin. She told me that if it gets worse she is recommending an MRI. More importantly, she informed me that they are available 24/7 and that there is no charge for the follow up visit. She is provided us with a texting number as well. The following morning our daughter woke up with a swelling on her back. She could walk however now the pain was extreme. I took a picture and sent it to Stephanie Luca. Her colleague Stephanie M. called me back. She told me that she was going to bring this to the physician's attention. Dr. Reza Danesh called me and asked for us to bring our daughter to the office for evaluation. Upon examining her he knew she needed immediate attention. He informed us of the situation and gave us options. We went with the most direct approach which was first comforting our daughter with a mild sedative and localized surgery. A wonderful lady by the name of Kim comforted our daughter as she was receiving her IV sedative. Dr. Danesh used ultrasound to guide his approach to his incision entry. Gently he was able to locate the cyst and drain the purulent exudate. She was monitored throughout the surgery and we were given explicit post operative instructions and medication regimens. Our daughter woke up 10 minutes after the procedure and walked out the office 30 minutes later. The service, compassion and expertise of Dr. Danesh , Stephanie Luca and Stephanie M. was above and beyond. I am grateful as a father that these amazing healthcare professionals were there for her.
