When we arrived, the studio was spotless. Clean, bright, and welcoming. They let us come in early to set up balloons and party favors, which made everything feel personalized and festive. They even had small welcome gifts for each guest (such a thoughtful touch!), plus a tote bag and special gift for the birthday girl. It truly felt elevated and intentional. The class itself was 10/10. It was challenging enough for the girls who are experienced, but paced perfectly so beginners felt comfortable and successful. I have been going to this studio for over 5 years. It began when I suffered a major hamstring…read moretear....and the doctors said at my age they would not operate. A doctor refereed me to a Pilates instructor to build up the specific muscles around the torn hamstring, which would keep me from compensating as I walked...which had begun causing a lot of pain. It worked, and as long as I keep those muscles strong, I have no pain due to that injury. In the last year I began to have hip issues. My x-rays and doctor indicated that it was arthritis, and that I probably had a hip replacement coming up. I had reached the point where I couldn't walk up hill or up stairs...or even long walks without a lot of pain. My Pilates instructor began to work on building those surrounding muscles and it has worked. I couldn't be more grateful. This studio has instructors who know what they are doing! Historically, I was not a gym person...I didn't like anything about going to a gym. But, with Pilates, I figured any exercise program that began with me lying down couldn't be all bad (ha, ha). I actually feel noticeably better after each session.

It does affect how you are able to perform some of the exercise exercises. Reason 2: The instructor did not ask if I had any injuries, which most instructors do. I was a couple minutes late, so maybe that's why she didn't ask. But seriously most instructors want to know if there's injuries or anything so clients don't hurt themselves.

This may sound like an odd description: a ballet studio in Greece (preferably coastal). This is exactly what I think of when I see Oblix! Deena is the BEST instructor with her additions of spicy movements and modern takes on the Pilates classes. She really knows how to target key core abdominal muscles and work every single muscle to the bone. Her music taste is impeccable, her personality and heart are so pure, and her teaching is pristine. Disappointing experience…read more A lot of time and energy to no purpose; instructors scheduled then cancelled; others offered to speak, then don't follow thru; or call back, and didn't. We all are aware things have been very challenging coming back from Covid; a business hoping to recover gracefully should strive to be far more caring about what's going on for potential clients at this time- especially in the wellness sector. Small businesses are only as good as the professionals they hire or the management that oversees them; this one could strive to respect "the other side", and be more organized and responsible on follow thru with commitments / appointments. And - ownership appears to have no clue what's going on with potential clients and it's own management .... as a comment posted within minutes by this owner - whom I've never spoken to!- has me confused with yet another client they apparently reneged on... I never paid money (because they lack the bandwith to schedule!), and didn't even know about this small studio until a recommendation in June (one I have since addressed with the studio that recommended it). Again, this speaks to the lack of organization / communication. Thank you.
