They have some nice stuff, and I went into the Glen St store to actually buy a piece of furniture. But you should know that they don't sell anything out of this "store" - as the sales rep said, "this is just a showroom." So if you see something you want, you have to: a) drive to the warehouse on Annacis Island to pick it up; or b) pay $200, and wait maybe a week (as I was told), to have the item delivered. I was given no other option. We've had major appliances delivered for less than this - with 3 guys, dollies, lifts, etc. And I'm sure Moe's furniture has a much bigger margin than appliances. The item I was intending to purchase was a 55" long cabinet that probably weighs less than 20 kg. I'd have ordered it if they'd at least given me the option to pick it up at this store, but they don't do that. The sales rep said the drive to Annacis Island would take "15 minutes" - from 1st and Clark. That's pretty funny - maybe at 5 a.m. and making all the lights, but seriously, it'd take ~15 minutes just to get over the bridge to Richmond, if you were lucky. And that's maybe half way. read more

So to update this review: Upon opening a case for our cracked Drey nesting tables in July, we were promised a replacement. However it was on back-order until November we were told. In December finally, we did indeed receive a replacement - free of charge - and we got to keep the table that had a crack. Hence the three stars. The rug we ordered (BossaNova) seems to be falling apart after a few months. We constantly have to vacuum the carpet as big lumps of threads and "fluff" are coming out of it, and spreading all over the surrounding floors. It just looks messy, so we are shopping for a new carpet and will put this one in the garbage shortly. In future we'll go to more high-end stores, or even Ikea (which has a one-year return policy for any item). read more

Bought 2 storage beds. The slats don't allow most mattresses to lie flat. Our bed started to sag in the middle because of missing slat in middle. They were very friendly blamed everything on mattress which was new, mattress company was o/s and replaced it immediately. It was replaced same problem a couple weeks later. I am a designer from Miami - FL and ordered 3 sideboards and 2 chairs from Moe's. Paid over $5K for my order. Due to poor freight and delivery, I was told I would receive my shipment on a specific day (installation day for me) and they never showed up. Then it happened again. I wasted two days and torment. Then I finally receive my shipment in the cheapest ground delivery way possible and Moe's sent me 6 barstools instead which I did not order! To get them to pick up and deliver was a nightmare - they were really nice to help out in anyway they could but this entire process which cost me time & money and lots of frustration was the worst experience I have ever had. Love their stuff but doubt I will be able to order from them again. They credited me my delivery charge and later offered me a measly $200 for my troubles. I laughed. Came here to check out furniture for our new place, proactively shopping around to get a sense of style, colours, and price points for when we have to make the purchases. Moe's has a nice showroom feel to it - this one is probably one of their larger locations and has 3 floors of nice stuff. Definitely not as affordable as Ikea but they offer some really unique pieces so if your budget allows then it's worth checking out. The people here are not pushy they let you have your privacy and time to look around. I don't think anyone even approached us actually while we were there and we prefer it that way! I purchased a sectional for $5,000 from Moe's. I had been recommended to them by my son who has the same sofa. We found originally that the cushions seemed thin and that we sunk low into the sofa. Not comfortable at all. When checking with Moe's they noted that the sofa needed to be fluffed. We have been out of the country and have not had a chance to use it that much, until the last couple months. We have found no improvement and now feathers are constantly coming out of all the cushions. When I contacted them today, they stated again that the cushions needed to be fluffed and the feathers have quills like a needle, and they will continue to come through the fabric. This sofa is extremely uncomfortable and we definitely are getting the brush off. Would not recommend purchasing anything from Moe's. read more

This was my first choice for furniture, but when trying to pick out stuff and the better half has a different frame of mind in decorating, well, my choices fell flat on her. For me. I love this store. Haven't bought anything yet, but I sure will!!!! I love the antique styling of some of the wooden furniture and the Asian inspired designs were nice as well. For me, it's really about the beaten up old wood, the weathered look, the pillows and throws and tables. Unfortunately we didn't have time for ME to look around and peruse the shop. So frustrated with this store. We ordered a sofa chair to extend our couch. The order was placed January 3rd. Was told it would told it be here the end of March. So we called them and were told it would be here the end of May. Then we called again and were told it would be here July 1st. Now we are just getting the runaround that it's stuck at customs. i stumbled upon MOE'S looking for a sofa, unbeknownst to me while conversing with a sales member i was asked where i was from because of my accent. I didn't think much of it until i got my purchase of a used product. Yes! Full disclosure: I have yet to actually purchase any big ticket item from Moe's - but it's not for lack of trying! To borrow the wise words of my good friend, Hillary - I love the crap outta this place! Cheap (relatively, natch), close-proximity to Home Depot (don't judge), and modern (without being so ultra-modern that it teeters dangerously toward tacky) means that I have found my new happy place. Clean lines, interesting textures, understated colours and tones, the furniture and accessories here are right up my vintage-urban-industrial-rustic loving alley. Sure, the some of the staff can be a tad uppity and almost a bit too holier-than-thou for my taste, but overall they're really hands-off until approached, which I entirely appreciate. When making a pricey decision, the last thing I want is a salesperson trying to convince me what's what and why I should consider a white suede sectional. As an aside, THAT EXISTS. Instead, I'd rather just hum and haw over the mid-century-inspired apartment sized loveseat or sit on the vast number of ultra sweet bar stools while pretending I live in more than 400 square feet of awesomeness. Actually, 4.5 stars. I needed candle holders; I had a specific style in mind and was unable to find them in Home Sense / Ikea / Bed Bath & Beyond / Home Outfitters. I have looked at Moe's online as saw a few things of interest and decided to check it out. All I can say is the potential for scope creep is incredible in this store. Firstly, I identified some lovely throw cushions. My couch needed throw cushions. The bright green ones I liked (and FYI are perfect) were on sale. Okay, done. No, I only found one, I need it's mate. I found a helpful staff member who helped me locate another on one of their displays. Hooray, and okay, done. But now I need cream colored ones, preferably visually interesting to go with. Then I found lovely cream colors textured ones to go with. I like diversity. Okay, done. I was wandering around and I found some large green vases I also liked, but a dispute between the attractiveness of "sticks" with my other half put a rain check on that purchase. Focus, Jenni, focus. Candle holders. But wait, those stainless steel salt and pepper shakers are just darling now aren't they. Wait... wait!! FOCUS! I continue wandering trying to narrow specifically on candle holders. Crap, I found a clever wire fruit bowl. I need one. It's probably $10 more than I need to spend on a fruit bowl. But, okay, done. So now I'm trying to wander with pillows, a wire fruit bowl and still have no candle holders, and wasn't that the point of this whole adventure. Then, like the light of god shining down I found a set of three. Round with stripey texture, they hold tea lights, they are just made for my coffee table. And eep!! Only $9.99 for the set! I thought I would be spending at least $40. With a handful of pillows they earned one fist pump before I figured out how I could carry them amongst everything else. Where we loose a start (but really, a half star in my opinion) was at the cash desk. It was confusing, there is no inherent queuing area. Then people just loitering. I did get helped, but the fellow wasn't the friendliest. He packed everything as requested (just give me one bag). He wasn't chatty. He didn't really say anything at all. i don't think he was happy to be there. And with so many home goodies he should feel happy to be there. Summary of the damage: 5 throw cushions (2 on sale, 3 regular price), one really cool fruit bowl, and a candle holder set of three. Damage to my bank account was less than $100. My husband and I looked everywhere for a quality couch that would last us, but also wouldn't drain our bank account. After searching everywhere, we went to Moe's just to look, as we assumed it would be too expensive, but were interested nonetheless. As I had read on other Yelp reviews, they do truly have a spectrum of items at all different price ranges, though I'd say the majority of their furniture pieces are more expensive. We found a couch that was exactly what we were looking for, and great quality, but never thought we'd be able to afford it. When Michelle came to help us, we found out that it was only a few hundred dollars more than the couch we were looking at getting in Richmond from one of the wholesalers, but the Moe's couch was WAY better quality. We were stoked! Michelle was incredibly helpful and patient with us as we chose exactly what size and colour we wanted. She offered great suggestions and opinions. We ended up purchasing the couch within 20-30 minutes of being there. The one thing that is a bit off-putting is that they start announcing right at 5:45pm that they are going to close over a PA system, and even if there are still customers in the store (paying a fair amount of money for pieces) they turn off the lights in the showrooms. As we had rushed from work on a Wednesday, and we're buying a piece, you'd think they'd give you a couple moments to process the transaction, but they really do like to make it evident that they close right at 6pm. I understand they need to have a limit of over time, but it was just a bit weird... Michelle gave us an accurate time for the couch 4-6 weeks, and when I followed up with her, she surprised me with the news that the couch was already at their warehouse (we expected another week). She made special arrangements for the couch to be delivered that week, and I know she went out of her way to do that, it was awesome! Unfortunately, when the couch arrived, the delivery company scratched the one panel badly against the door frame, so it had a bunch of grease streaks. I called Michelle right away and she told me she'd handle it all. And she did! She arranged everything with the moving company and the furniture doctor, and continued to assure me that she'd make sure the couch was back to new condition and that Moe's would follow through the entire time. I should also note that moving company that Moe's works with is incredible too, as they took full responsibility for the damage and we're also 100% committed to fixing it. Sure enough, a week later, I have a perfect couch, and Michelle was a dream to work with! Fixing the streaks could have been a big hassle, and Moe's could have easily offloaded the responsibility onto the moving company, but they didn't , they were whole-heartedly invested in making sure I had the perfect piece, just like I ordered. I truly cannot say enough good things about Michelle at Moe's, and I'll definitely be going straight back to her for all future furnishing needs! read more

The furnishings range from "good value" to "high quality" (and priced accordingly) but generally everything is well made and interesting. All of the staff I have encountered have been friendly, competent and helpful. I wandered lost for about 10 min and finally decided to ask for help since no one asked me. I asked if anyone could help me at the counter, one person walked away another person then offered. Luckily enough they were having a sale which puts it in my comfort zone and I was able to get a new couch that is unique, funky and worth the money. Went to Moe's for my first time a couple of weeks ago. I liked a bunch of things there, but most of them were out of my price range. I found a rug that I liked, but unfortunately they only had it in stock at their Seattle location. For free shipping, I had to pay upfront and it was going to be final sale. I was going to pay for it because I was fairly convinced that I liked it enough. (I was also getting tired of shopping for a rug.) However, in the end the sales associate convinced me to take a sample rug home to make sure I really liked it. An employee called me the next day to check if the sample rug was working out. On my way to buy some flowers for my home at Home Depot, I stopped at Moe's to return a small piece of hardware that was excess after furnishing a new Airbnb suite. The gentleman behind the cash register scoffed that it was a 2013 purchase - 3 months ago - and said he could only give me an in-store credit, which I was fine with, until he started scoffing some more that I had gone to the store for such a small credit. I replied that at least it brought me into the store, he scoffed again and when I mentioned I might even buy an ornamental cherry, he corrected me and said it was an apple. We were moving to a new home and we desperately needed a refresh in furnishings and decor. I toured a few of the favourite design stores in Vancouver with my friend and then we landed at Moe's Home Collection. Ygor welcomed us immediately and was very helpful as we wondered around the large two level showroom and rearranged furnature and accent pieces to try different looks. He was extremely patient and helpful to us and we ended up doing the majority of my shopping at Moe's. We had to wait a few months for a few of the items but that was fine as we were moving anyway. Ygor was great keeping in touch and the items arrived on the timeline that was estimated. We arranged for pickup at the warehouse in Delta which was super easy. I was so delighted to set up my new furniture. It was even nicer then I remembered and look great in my new home. I continue to stay in touch with Ygor and can discuss with him if he thinks a new item will work with my style. It is easy to order online now if I can't make it to the showroom. WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN! Some good people work here but management of the place is poor. They are good at selling you product but brutal at execution and customer service. Took them more than a month to deliver a couch from their warehouse. Our salesperson, Evan, was super nice, professional and on the ball. Unfortunately, the couch did not fit well in our space. After all we had been through and with the amount of patience we showed them, they did not reciprocate and slapped us with a 15% restocking fee on the return. Nice one! No sense of customer service or client retention. It is too bad because they have some nice pieces and some friendly staff. read more

I looked at a lot of places and found one at Moe's that I love, price was right and works in our house. CJ Costales was my sales rep and he was great to work with.
