Not sure what to think about Moe's. To start, it's opposite corner of a Chipotle, so it's serving almost the exact same menu as a restaurant that is within a literal ten second walk. When you enter, one of the employees will drone "Welcome to Moe's" as if they have been hypnotized into saying it, and the other employees will repeat on cue. There is a sign on the wall before you get to the ordering station and then it's out of sight by the time you start ordering with all the options (some included, and some at an extra price, but there's no menu in front of you to confirm) being mumbled by your preparer behind the counter. When you get to the end they ask if you want chips. Once again, no sign to say they're included or not, so I gambled and said "yes". They were included, I gambled correctly. My homewrecker bowl with brisket was HUGE. I could only eat half. There is a taco sauce station and a soda fountain machine and that's about it for Moe's. read more

Well, it's definitely better than the one by Presby. First off, there's actual, usually decent people to take your order, not just touchscreens. And this one has more options. I love black olives, and the tequila lime chicken is pretty tasty. It's also usually less busy than the Chipotle across the way. Downside? It's still significantly more expensive than a Chipotle bowl, and don't go anywhere near closing time, cuz they ain't tryin' to refill sh*t. read more

I love this Moe's location. Full disclosure, I frequently partner with Moe's on social media campaigns. However, I am also frequently a customer, as I work just a block or two from this location. They are great for a quick lunch stop. I usually order in the app and pick up. They have a dedicated pickup location on Forbes just before the main restaurant, a completely separate location with a different entrance. This can be a bit confusing if you're not a regular. They move you through very efficiently even though they often get a long line, especially during the lunch hours. They have recently renovated their little patio outside the restaurant with some greenery to make it feel private, so during nice weather you have a nice place to sit if you'd like to eat here; there is indoor seating as well. Burritos, bowls, tacos and quesadillas can all be made using essentially the same ingredients. I love their food, which is fairly priced and has never once made me sick like the fast casual Mexican competitor right across the street. This location is across the street from chipotle where there was a line of at least 10 people and honestly, I prefer most. I walked in with just one person ahead of me. The person that made my food was very much to say uninterested; very minimal conversation they may have only said what else and is that it. After paying for my meal, I waited a short bit and asked for my receipt she said hold on. And then ring up the next two customers while I stood there and waited. Then I think she re-printed the receipt and handed it to me looking very annoyed. Again, this is not the typical experience I've received it other Moe's. This was very unfortunate. I will start by saying I really like Moes. It's nostalgic and I usually am a fan of the food. This experience was not ok. Firstly I walk in and the one employee is eating AT THE COUNTER next to the open food. That is disgusting and a complete health/food violation. I don't want to blame the employee because I don't know if they were new and undertrained but there was clearly no supervision. Firstly everything I asked for they would go for a different item. I asked for onions they went for tomato's. I was very patient throughout. I requested chips and queso with my meal. They grabbed a queso that had been sitting there pre packaged. Mind you there was NO ONE in the place for this to need to be pre packaged. I fully knew this would be cold and congealed. They then grabbed a bag on the counter for the chips that was clearly used and crinkled to put the chips in. Again I noticed the bag was half full of pre packaged chips and they topped it off with new chips. I decided to be quiet and pay and eat what was edible and leave. When I get the bag there is a ticket on the bag from another order from two hours prior. So it had all been sitting there for two hours. Decided to stop my Moe's on the ay to the pirates game for a quick bite to eat since we knew it would be fast and affordable! We love it here since you never have to pay extra for guac which is amazing! We ordered the steak bowl with all of the fixings! It was a little disappointing though because the amount of guac they gave us was so tiny, and that is one of the parts we look forward to the most. We didn't want to be rude and ask for more (and maybe we should've), but we had hoped to get a little bit more than that. Other than that, the meal was great! Update: I'm happy to say, this was made right. The owner explained that they missed our message because a few admins have access. The also let us know that the manager that enacted the "no free water" policy had been let go, and lastly we were given some comp food for our experience. I want to be clear though that we aren't giving a 5 star for the free food, but because the owner went to extraordinary trouble to make it right, and fixed the main issue with the water. I stand by our first review, that the food was absolutely delicious, so with water problem aside it is definitely a good Moe's to eat at! read more

Been here multiple times and it is by far my favorite fast service Mexican restaurant. There are so many topping choices for your burrito, bowl, salad, quesadilla, etc. They don't limit you either, so you can put as many ingredients as you like on your meal. Each meal you get free chips, which is a huge plus in my opinion. The salsa bar within the restaurant has a nice variety of different temperature salsa. Their queso is delicious! Keep an eye out for Free Queso Day, where they give out free cups of queso and bag of chips. This location ran this year's event very organized. As I walked in, I was asked if I was ordering food or only there for queso. I was directed to a separate line, away from the lunch rush, and given my queso within 2 minutes. I recommend signing up for their rewards program. You receive points with every purchase and discounts throughout the year. Plus a free entree on your birthday! read more

Went here for a healthy, light lunch. I had the veggie Close Talker (salad), and there were lots of fresh toppings to choose from. I also got a bag of tortilla chips with my salad. I decided to make it a meal for $2.50 more, where I got a small side of guacamole and a 20oz drink. My meal tasted pretty good, though the grilled veggies were a bit bland to me, and I added a bunch of other toppings to make up for the portion of lettuce, which I think could have been a bit larger. I really enjoyed the Southwest dressing - tart and vinegary, perfect to cut through the richness of the black beans & (bland) grilled veggies. Price was just ok - burritos & bowls are a better value & will be more filling. Inside of the restaurant was clean. They also sell some varieties of bottled beer here which I did not expect! They have bathrooms but they have a combination door lock, and with the long line, I didn't have the patience to wait for assistance. The salsa bar had 4 salsas to choose from, which was a nice addition to their tortilla chips! I got the verde salsa and the medium salsa which were delicious! My main gripe is that only one of the Coca Cola freestyle machine was functioning, and when I went to select my drink, every diet option was out! But listen up people by 11:40 the line swelled twice the size!! After getting our food we chose a high table by the window - overlooking Market Square - in order to people watch. There's plenty of outdoor patio seating available - in the event the indoor dining would fill up. I had the "Wrong Doug" steak packed with black beans, cheese, quac, salsa, lettuce. I usually get the salad or taco .. wanted to try something different. The Wrong Doug is packed with goodness and grilled on both sides and served warm.. it was delicious but too big for me..I couldn't finish it. The customer service was extra friendly here and it was kept very clean however I have yet to feel super impressed with the food. Although I do think the queso cheese dip is better than Chipotle's queso cheese dip since it actually tasted like they use real cheese and it has a nice creamy texture the flavor is still pretty mild and it could use a little bit more of a kick, however, it was still overall more delicious than Chipotle's queso dip and it would mix nicely with other parts of the menu. The chips were just overly salty to the point where I found it difficult to eat them however I tend to always feel this way about chips at fast food restaurants. They did have a nice crunch however and you could tell that they were freshly made even when it was late that we got them. Because they tasted fresher and more crispy than Chipotle's chips I would say they are better than Chipotle's however both of these places need to use less salt! Although I haven't tried much on their menu yet I will say that I like this places chips and queso dip more than Chipotle's. If I was really craving queso dip in the middle of Market Square I would choose this place! My concern is that it will be difficult for them to compete with Chipotle which is directly across from them in market square being that Chipotle is already pretty popular and this place is so similar. I would consider trying something more substantial on their menu sometime to leave a more detailed review and will update this review as soon as I do. read more

I can't believe Moe's only had three stars? What's up with that? I've been to this location twice and never had an issue. Moe's, by far, is my favorite chain Mexican restaurant. The value is great and you get so much food for the money. I get the "Homewrecker," which is a delicious and huge burrito, filled with everything you want and your choice of meat and beans. With that includes chips and your choice of salsa at the salsa bar (I like being able to get the salsas myself!). The big burrito, chips, salsa and a drink all for under $9! I also love the fact that you can fit all the crap you want in the burrito and somehow it all stays together and doesn't fall apart. As much as I love Chipotle, the free chips gives this place an edge when it comes to deciding where to go for quick Mexican. The staff is also very friendly as well. read more

I haven't been to one in a while because I haven't liked them in the past, but I figured I'd try this one out since it just went through a renovation downtown near my work. The line was super long, and all the inside tables were bustling. This can be typical of downtown lunch time, but I decided to wait and give it a shot. I'm glad I did because the line moved quickly, and the food was really good. It's like a chipotle, but with way more options. They also have a ton of sauces and sides to put in little containers for when you eat your meal. I'd go back here for sure. I'd also recommend using the app to order to cut the line. Moe's definitely knew what they were doing with this remodel, and the counter is so long that they're able to take so many orders at once. It's very lively inside with so much capacity and people eating, so next time I'll eat there instead of bringing the food back in a doggie bag. read more

I erased my previous review. I had a concern about the pricing but just spoke with the owner (Mike) and he addressed my concern. Very impressed how quickly he got in touch with me. Corporate set some guidelines that he is working on fixing. If you order a Naked Joey in the Bowl they don't have an option in the register, so you get charged for a Homewrecker or "Earmuffs". Makes total sense now. Earmuffs aka the rice bowl that was added to the menu in the fall. I also mentioned the limited indoor seating. Mike is trying to reconfigure the restaurant but he's at the mercy of the building owner. This is the most efficient Moe's that I have seen. They get you in and out very quickly. I rarely see long lines. Mike said they pride themselves on their efficiency. Quality of the food is very good. I always get steak with mushrooms, onions, peppers, salsa (tomato and corn), and cucumbers. No complaints. Lines are shorter than Chipolte. When the weather is warmer they have plenty of outdoor seating. You get a nice view of what is going on the square (Market Square). read more

Moe's to me is the place to go when I can't get to Chipotle. That's actually exactly how I ended up eating here last week - the line for Chipotle was just too long to stand in considering some coworkers and I had a work meeting we had to get to an hour or so later. When we walked into Moe's we got right in line and were impressed by how quickly it moved. The staff here are definitely really fast and efficient - I actually totally forgave them for asking to repeat myself a couple times just because you could see the whirlwind pace they had to work at during the lunch rush to keep things moving. Kudos to them for clarifying things rather than risking messing up my order just to keep the line moving. We admittedly made fun of the menu set-up while waiting, though, since none of us got why they felt the need for funny order names here. 90% of the names don't tell you anything about what you're ordering, making them totally pointless and even potentially confusing. And I mean, are fancy order names really helping you compete with places like Chipotle? Anyway, all of our food was tasty enough, although my "Overachiever" tacos weren't particularly deserving of their name. They were fine and I enjoyed them, but they weren't exceptional either; if anything I think more meat and black beans would have balanced out the insane amount of guacamole they came with. I wasn't psyched when I sat down and discovered that I'd gotten a semi-flat cup of coke from the drink machine, either. And I know someone will get mad at me for saying this, but I also wasn't particularly in love with the chips. Honestly I need to start remembering to ask them not to give them to me; they just taste so bland and I get so many that I don't want them, and I feel awful throwing them out. I also need to add something about this particular establishment - do not sit by the middle set of doors if you don't have to, especially in the winter. Unfortunately for us the only open table we could get was right by those doors, so throughout the meal the door constantly opened and slammed shut, resulting in cold winter air drafts and a small headache on my part from the noise. All in all, this Moe's does offer very quick service and ok food, but you do need to watch out for certain parts of the seating area. I've eaten at this Moes location over 30 times in the last 4 years. Since I live in downtown. Normally the manager with the tattoos is working and everything is super clean and protocols are being followed. But today the manager was nowhere in sight allowing employees to bend the rules. The ingredients station was very messy and unappetizing looking and two employees were preparing food without their masks. I'm glad they were out of the white meat we wanted giving us an excuse to politely decline and leave. I would like the manager with the tattoos to please talk to their employees!! My stomach dropped with fear of eating the food after seeing their masks pulled down around their chin cutting up chicken. My friend told me that Moe's might be better than Chipotle, so I had to investigate. For one thing, they have more add-ins than Chipotle. They have jalapenos and black olives, which are two of my favorite toppings (besides meat). I prefer Chipotle's sofritas compared to their tofu, which is more plain. They look pan-fried or baked, but don't have as much flavor as the sofritas. I like my burrito or burrito bowl with half steak and half of the vegetarian option. They have free chips, however mine were cold. Their salsa is also free, via the salsa bar. I love salsa. The super spicy (red) one is actually so spicy I'm impressed! I could drink their verde (green) sauce. The staff is friendly, and it wasn't crowded at all for an afternoon. The seating outside was nice and a great people-watching spot of Market Square. Also ordered two soft ground beef tacos . In the chicken burrito bowl I had 60% tomatoes . Then a few specks of rice . Chicken , and other items . Food was stone cold ! The ground beef soft tacos were cold and the shell was slimy and mushy . Delivery driver was supposed to meet me at rear door of the apartment complex . Instead he called me from front door .
