Steak Street Tacos Beans and Rice and a Mandarin Jarritos to add flavor to what already is a Great Meal.

Authentic Mexican Cuisine. Patron has a wide array of items to choose from. Simple items like cheese enchiladas, quesadillas, and street tacos; as well as more refined dishes like shrimp fajitas, and traditional carnitas plates as well. The whole experience is surrounded with Great Service and servers that make sure no detail is missed for your meal. The drink menu has a collection of Mexican Margaritas favorites, and distinctive whiskey's wines, and Sangria. The ambiance features a festive restaurant that appeals to those that are celebrating an event or just wanting have drinks with family and friends. You do not want to miss this spot in East Liberty.

We like this place. Food comes out fast and hot. I love their refried beans and rice. Their chicken isn't my favorite personally but my husband likes it. Causal restaurant with average-good Mexican food. House margs are a hit with us! Service is always fast and friendly!

Been coming here for over a year now. You can't beat the food, drinks, and service. The restaurant is decked out in such fun decor. This place has lots of great options for lunch and dinner. Their happy hour is from 4-6 everyday, even weekends! The happy hour options are great and the prices are so good. I always bring my friends here for margaritas!

I absolutely love this place! I've been eating here since they originally opened the Wexford location years ago. Everything on the menu is authentic and delicious. And the staff is alway so friendly. I highly recommend Monday taco nights at the bar. One dollar beef or chicken tacos and three dollar margaritas. You can beat it! And they have multiple locations all over the city and suburbs.

Best mexican in a 3 mile radius, possibly a 7 mile radius. Friendly staff, everything on the menu tastes great!

Food is decent but I enjoy the atmosphere and the service staff a lot more. The steak that I got was great piece and the shrimp is a big size. One thing I would recommend to improve on is the tostados. The shell is slightly soggy because all the juices are absorbed, making it harder to eat by hand.

Pretty decent food. It's not the best quality or the most authentic, but it is cheap and does the job. They are a local chain from what I know. Most of the classic American-Mexican foods are served here, such as burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and so on. I tried the cheese quesadilla and the churros. The quesadilla was very average. It was on the larger side though, and quite a good deal for just $9. However, it was not very flavorful. I do like that they followed my instructions for providing the lettuce and tomatoes separately to reduce sogginess. The quesadilla itself was still not that crispy. The cheese had a very strange flavor. It almost seemed a bit spoiled. Other sections had no cheese at all. I'd recommend probably not getting this. However, the churros were very delicious! I thought they were expensive at first, but when I saw the portion, I realized it was a fair price. They give you 4 churros. They are delicious, coated in a perfect amount of sugar and a nice caramel center. Hershey chocolate syrup on top as well, although I'm not a fan of it. And, they even served it with some vanilla ice cream, which was quite tasty and creamy. This is another one of the Mexican places that serves chips along with their meals. It's solid quality and complimentary so can't complain. The chips came in a nice sized bag and the salsa was okay, although watery. All in all, not bad. It's not authentic or incredible by any means, but a good stop for a cheap Mexican meal. It is definitely better than many Mexican chains. Would definitely recommend the churros, but the quesadilla? Not so much.

For cinco de Mayo, we decided to celebrate at Patron's! Originally, we were going to come here with a bunch of our friends for some of their amazing margaritas, but my mom ended up surprising me for the Pittsburgh marathon, so we went with her! She got the Carne asada street tacos, I got the Chile Colorado (like last time because it was so good), and my girlfriend got the steak fajitas (which is her go-to)! All of the food was so delicious and came out super fast, especially since how busy they were for the holiday! We got lucky and got some good bar seating, so we didn't have to wait very long. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area!

I had some really good gorditas with stuffed fajita, cilantro, and white onions. They came with a smoky salsa and some rice and beans. It was amazing!!! The Manager there was Marcos and he made you feel at home. Inalso had a flavored margarita with a Corona. I will definitely be back!

Stopped here strictly for the "Margrona" on the rocks and it was so cute and tasty! Complimentary warm chips and Salsa are also served here! Bartender was awesome. We have eaten here before as well and we have enjoyed the all items we've tried. Walls are covered with bright and colorful artwork and neat decor throughout this venue. Very inviting. Not bad for a small Pittsburgh chain. We enjoyed our mini visit.

Patron Mexican Grill is a great spot! It's easy to find nearby street parking. They have weekly specials for drinks. I got a corona-Rita (which is exactly what it sounds like. Yum!). I ordered the Special Santa Fe. It's a huge spread of a chalupa, taco, chile relleno, tamale, enchilada, rice and beans. The chile relleno (green chili pepper stuffed with meat) and tamale (steamed cake of dough made from corn with filling) were both dishes I had never had before and I really enjoyed them. I ended up getting two meals out of this dinner. Only reason I cannot give five stars is that service was so so. Would definitely return!

Patron is a standard american Mexican restaurant with consistent quality and service. They have well priced lunch specials and daily drink specials. The lunch specials are a steal for the portion size. I've been numerous times and don't have a bad thing to say. It's not fancy or trendy, but you will find great food and margs and leave stuffed!

Quick service and standard food. The Amigos combo is a really good deal if you're looking to try a variety of things from the menu. The margarita pitcher comes frozen or on the rocks and you can pick a flavor as well. Good for a group but very sweet. The restaurant decor was super inviting and fun. I would come back again for one of their daily specials!

I didn't like this place. They use American cheese and I just can't and the salsa was from a jar.

It was exactly what my friends were looking for after dinner down the street. The cigars, drinks, were well-priced (although it is cash-only). The laid back vibe and tucked in booths were appreciated because we were in our own little world talking away. I don't have much to say about the bartenders because I didn't really interact with them. I think the only recommendation I have is to put the cigars in a humidor rather than a plastic bin. That was a bit off-putting.

But after about a month of severe internal struggle (divorce, CPS, the whole gambit), and at the behest of some caring friends, I finally feel compelled to tell my story. On March 16th, my wife and I were out celebrating Stone Cold day (and also our child to be) with some friends. We were all feeling okay, having an alright time remembering some of the Texas Rattlesnake's best moments of the Attitude Era at one of the least interesting spots the city has to offer. My wife's cousin ordered us all a round of shots (I must stress that this is the only shot my wife took, we're not monsters!) when shit suddenly got real. My wife, or, "ex-wife" I guess (gotta get used to saying that) just chased her shot with some of my IPA whenever one of the bartenders started squaring up on my wife's cousin. The bartender (some schlubby guy who kept talking about how his "night elf" was supposed to be selling iron ore on the auction house??) came around the bar, took his shirt off (unfortunately) and started yelling at my wife's cousin about something called a "molten core." This bartender called by wife's cousin a "beta cuck" while some old crone in the back (surely not unlike a harpy enemy in one of this bartender's favorite games) continued to squawk "NOBODY WANTS YOU HERE!!!" while feathers were flying everywhere and landing in patrons' drinks. It was at this moment that my wife went into labor. The bartenders were super pissed off that her water broke everywhere and that they had to do something besides flex and yell at people. Now I will say, they all did there part to help make sure the baby was delivered safely. Even the crone I mentioned gave us one of her nests to place the fresh babe into (shocker!) But, to my surprise, my sweet baby son wasn't in that nest for more than four minutes when the aforementioned bartender started calling my newborn a "beta cuck." Then the other male bartender came around, also took his shirt off, and started trying to challenge my newborn to a fight. I got the sense that the two bartenders were in the same fantasy guild, but I don't know for sure. All this to say, were it not for a bunch of man-children running some kind of excuse for a bar, I'd still have a wife and a child. My newborn child has more balls than any employee here does. Mardi Gras?? What an insult.

My friend and I come here every Friday for happy hour. Over the past few weeks, we noticed that our tabs didn't seem to match what we were actually drinking, so this time I decided to ask for our receipts. That's when we saw we were both charged for shots of Espolón tequila--something neither of us ordered. I was drinking margaritas and always ask for well tequila in mixed drinks. This makes me wonder how many times we've been charged for drinks we never had. Completely unacceptable. When we brought this up, we were told to speak with the manager to correct the tab. He was extremely rude and immediately accused us of ordering the shots, even though he wasn't present. He was more focused on watching RuPaul than helping. He then claimed my card had been declined weeks earlier, which forced me to call my bank and dispute a double charge. Thanks for the extra hassle. You come here expecting a good time and leave not wanting to return. Management clearly needs to address issues with staff to prevent this from continuing. That so-called manager has no business working in customer service. I've only seen him on Fridays and Saturdays--about 5'10", skinny, wearing sweats and a gray Carhartt beanie. He's always rude, but this encounter was beyond the limit. This happened around 9-10pm in the middle bar. If you decide to come here, be careful and always ask for your receipt--otherwise, you may end up overcharged.
