I paid Duncan $2000 on 3/14 of this year, for a motor replacement. We had an agreement that I…read moresigned shortly before that time and the total cost of the repair was somewhere in the range of $2350. He had me order all of the parts for the installation / rebuild (another few hundred $), and he seemed excited to take on the project, brought his engine hoist over which is still there. I had him do a few other projects in the meantime that I paid him for while waiting for the new motor to arrive. On 6/23, he told my roommate he was going to come over to start the work while I was out of town, but never showed up and since ghosted me despite numerous calls and text messages. He also took off the axle for replacement as well, and had me buy another one. I had plans to finish payment on both when those repairs were completed, but now I have a motor sitting in my driveway likely collecting rust, two axles in my garage, his hoist, and an inoperable vehicle sitting on jack stands. I was really happy with the work he had done up to that point, but I am not sure what happened. If he is unavailable or something else, I hope he is alright - but also not communicating or replying leaves me feeling as if I was robbed. Had this all been completed, I would gladly give him a 5 star review, and continue to use him. At this time I am at a loss. I'm more than happy to take this review down & change it if he can respond to me, and do the work we agreed on / that I paid for. If you're reading this, he still has not followed through. What is sad to me is that I got along with Duncan really well, and I was excited for the plans he and I had for my car. I don't know what happened.
