Called this business to have my car check out, Brett came out to my home without a truck, that…read moreshould have been my 1st red flag, he had somebody in the car with him, 2nd red flag, removed my battery from my car; disappeared, never returned, called his phone 330.414.0523, which he never answered, voice mail was full. Called him 2 days later, he answered the phone, claiming that the battery would not take a charge. I asked him to bring the battery back and place it on my porch, that was two days ago, no call or no show. So too sum it all up....he has failed to return my battery for my car, I will be filing a police report. I guess that battery was worth something to him! I only put the one star because it was required :-(

"Caveat Emptor" Went to Fix-It with Fred for a needed oil change and the air conditioner was…read moreblowing warm air. Dropped the car off told them the problems and mentioned, when braking, the car pulled a little to the left. Later they called with a diagnostic fee which seemed a little high but wanted it fixed. Someone called back the next day told me they had changed the oil and recharged the air conditioning and found leaks at both Schrader valves which they replaced (part of the diagnostic fee I imagine) and I needed $2000 worth of brake work, (front pads and rotors, rear shoes and drums, front calipers, BG brake system service). My response was, "that is a third of what the car was worth, put it back together and the car will be picked up. A total of $2875.81 of work and parts were declined by me. " Just to be on the safe side, two weeks later the same vehicle was taken to another auto repair shop to have the brakes checked, their receipt says "Inspect brakes, approximately 50% -OK". The brakes are working fine. There is probably a large gap as to what is needed for vehicle repairs and what the manufacturers suggests and how much money you have.
