Still taking my car here two years later. I don't really understand the negative reviews I've seen because I have never experienced any kind of unprofessionalism from this place. The employees have never sat in the office and gossiped about anything. The front desk girl is very nice and friendly and does talk to you but she is not gossiping. The quality of the services they provide and the prices can't be beat. Anytime I bring my car in for a specific issue they fix it. I've never been given the run around or felt like I was being taken advantage of as a female. A lot of mechanics take advantage of women and try to charge us more thinking we don't know any better but this place doesn't do that. I was taking my car to Vandevere and paying 100.00 for an oil change when Ken's charges me 45.00 for the same service. Also it takes them maybe half an hour versus three hours at the dealer. You can't please everyone but this place has way more positive reviews than negative and I definitely recommend taking your vehicle here. read more

I had brought my 2011 audi here after it died while driving no crank no start. I had called ken's and told them what had happened and told me to bring it in. I had the car towed in from someone they had recommended and pretty sure they got a cut of the money. After dropping the car off they had called me back in under 5 hours and told me the engine was locked up. I had it towed back home understanding that they didn't want to mess with a locked up engine but sure they had check. My brother being a mechanic bought me a new engine and and was going to install it for me so I had the car shipped to NC. Coming to find out the engine was not locked up and was just a starter issue. I could have just sent it a dealer and had it fixed for under $1500. But Kens gave me a wrong diagnosis and pretty sure they didn't even lift the hood of the car. I am now down $4000 instead of maybe $2000 it would have been at a dealer. All the ice that was on it when I dropped it off was still in the same spot when I picked it up. Took my car here for a muffler repair. Muffler was replaced without a hitch. I also asked them to check an oil leak and was told they would put dye in my engine and to come back so they can see where its leaking from. I did just that but when I returned I was told there was too much oil to see whats going on. No problem. I was I would be given a refund if I didnt want to come back to have them check it out again. Went to look at my car under the bay, looked at the leaks, decided to just take the refund since they couldn't identify it the first time. The owner then tried to go back on his word since he "degreased" the engine. I told him I would still like the refund since the problem wasnt solved. He relented and said okay. Overall my muffler was fixed, but the shop is shady, going back and forth on refunds for things they couldn't diagnose, gossiping the entire time im in the waiting room. It just wasn't professional. I would recommend taking your car somewhere else. read more

Every single time we've had a problem big or small, Ken's Auto takes care of it quick, always goes the extra mile to make sure there are no problems, and has never once charged anything crazy for the repair and labor. I have a 2012 Honda CRV. I am 70 years old and had been told I needed the clamps on my exhaust welded. Another garage told me I needed a whole new exhaust for $2,000 after I had waited 2 hours to have it looked at. I read the excellent reviews on Ken's Muffler and, boy, were they right. Ken looked at the car immediately and took me out to listen to a leak in the system. He said he could weld in a new piece of pipe for a minimal price and it only took him a half hour! Thanks to all who write these reviews and so glad I can write one too! The receptionist is even warm and welcoming. One of the best experiences I have had in a long time.
