I have struggled with maintaining my naturally curly hair my whole life. I have tried every product known to woman and nothing seemed to work. I have been a client of Ron's for over four years. Before I found Ron I would spend so much time each day trying to make my hair straight as possible. Most often only to end up with it being a big puff by the end of the day. From the very first appointment I found Ron to be extremely knowledgeable and helped me embrace what so many people wish they had, a head of curls! I knew I had wave and frizz but what I came away with was actual curls! I love that he continues to educate not only himself but others around the world! Two years ago I moved back to Texas, I found a few people from the curly hair artists and Deva websites. I went to them to get my hair colored a few times and talked to them about their cutting techniques. Each time I came out of there not completely confident in allowing them to cut my hair. I must say I'm so shocked by the 1 and 2 star reviews on here! I've had my curls cut by Ron 5 times now and have NEVER experienced anything like what these people are saying! About every experiences I've had..... Courteous...they ask if I'd like something to drink (tea,hot chocalate...etc) as soon as I walk in the door. Prompt...I've never had to wait a minute to sit down in his chair (unlike all other hairdressers I've had in the past). Educated....I finally know how to work with what was naturally given to me. If you aren't the type of person who can take constructive criticism or doesn't want to learn how to take care of their curls and make them look the absolute best they can, then maybe you should go elsewhere. Plus he goes all over the world to teach others how to do what he does and has never seemed a bit arrogant about it, just happy to do it! Truly, I could go on and on but here are my top three reasons for this review of of Ron. It's worth every penny I've spent or you might spend and I couldn't be happier with every cut! I had my first appointment with moisture salon yesterday and it was the most amazing experience i've ever had at a salon. Ron was beyond amazing like a curl angel, he asked me what I was looking for out of my hair and delivered just that and more. He breaks everything down for you and shows you the correct way to take care of your hair to get the best possible curls. After that brooke takes you to the hair wash station and hands you a mirror so you can see step by step how to wash and then style your hair, she's also amazing. Everyone one there is so warm and friendly and full of knowledge on curly hair it's like a big curly family even down to Ron's curly haired dog who is soo sweet. This salon exceeded my expectations and was worth every Penny I spent. I walked out with the best haircut and best curls I've ever had. I can't wait to go back. My first visit to Moisture Salon was a one of a kind experience. It was a warm atmosphere and I felt very welcome. My hair for the first time looks amazing. At first, I have to be honest, I was a bit nervous with all the "rules" on how to come in. After my first experience I now understand why. Ron is meticulous and his passion for curls comes through. I had my first appointment with Brooke at Moisture Salon today 3/23/18. I LOVED everything about it! Brooke is fabulous, I left with gorgeous curls and the knowledge of how to maintain them. Ron is a great conversation and I really like him! He was funny and welcoming. He has a great passion for helping those of us with curls. Of course, his adorable dog CeeCee was a wonderful greeter! I'm hooked now! For those who say it's expensive, NOT! I don't have to go back for 5 to 6 months. I met Ron about a year ago doing some charity work and every time I saw him, he kept commenting how he wanted to get his hands into my hair. Ron, I do not care that I misspelled a couple things in my review. I care about being a good person, which you cannot say for yourself. All reviews on all platforms mention what horrible attitude you have and your replies prove it. I speak 5 languages with two degrees under my belt. I couldn't CARE LESS for your corrections. I had a wonderful experience today during my first visit to Moisture Salon. Staff were super friendly and helpful! Ron amd Brooke both educated me on how to take care of my hair and what texturing my hair at previous salons had actually done to my curls. The haircut I got from Brooke was the best haircut I've ever gotten! She takes you step by step on how to take care of your hair throughout the entire appointment. This was my first time here. I brought my 3 yr old granddaughter for her 1 st hair cut. Staff and Ron were extremely kind and offered me great pointers on how to manage her curls.
